The 80s to me was the best decade in terms of unique entertainment from the music, which no other decade had the level of unique sounds. Movies and TV shows like the circus were celebs actually have to train hard and put their bodies on the line.
God bless you guys thanks you guys rock way to go love and appreciate you guys and the memories great job people you should be amazed and proud still going strong after all these years later thanks way to go !! Joe
When I was a boy in the 1970's and earlier 1980's, Brooke Shields was my favourite celebrity crush. (The USA has shields :-) ) That was also a main reason why I recorded this whole one.
Despite what Mr.Colins has said in this segment..Poor Ms.Shields did cut her foot on that glass..the viewing area didn't see it..but..the audience watching the show live did.
Like many others, I'm also not in favour of animals at circuses, and never really have been. In many cases there can be artificial, including mechanical, substitutes. But, oh well, in this case, it was 1984, and one mustn't judge history by today's standards. Can notice also, in this video, they mention how unpredictable and dangerous the big cats can be. Thus, cages from about 1:15:00. Yet, no cages at about 08:00. That first one was probably very tame, but still. (And, with the kitty katze :-) )
Thank God the attitude towards treating animals with intimidation into subordination is frowned upon - it pains me to watch the big cats w George S. & also treating them as a joke. 😔
I don't really agree with celebrities like those being circus artists. That's simply because they aren't. (This is also the only full Circus of the Stars I have watched.) But, oh well, if they want to, then so be it. I guess it can give the circus more publicity, but could also make many of those acts seem easier than they are.
Good I miss the 1980s way to go you guys rock thanks for the memories take care best wishes to everyone at circus of the stars. Joe

Ms. Francis would not have needed that tickle whip to make _me_ sit up and beg! 😉😉😉

Wonderful. Too bad it's so dark.
I didn't notice.
In any case, on the vhs video it wasn't, and on the DVD transfer it also wasn't.
