no idea why anyone would buy this when an lg c3 is half the price with 120hz, the only benefit I see here is the detachable power cable

As the TV is manufactured in Germany, higher labour costs would have an impact on pricing.
Additionally, it is my understanding that the Panels are specially made for Loewe by LG which again would impact on pricing.
Without stripping down the TV, it may be the case that the internal components are of a higher quality than those used by other Manufacturers.

I looked at several TV brands in last week. I installed also a new Philips 65 " OLED for my parents in law. I looked at it with 6 other people. All people at the same opinion. These colours OLED screen collars are so overwhelming. After putting the colour saturation at minimum level and it was more acceptable, but still see an overkill of colour saturation. Although black level were very good. But today I saw the LOEWE compared to other brands, like the LG, Samsung, Sony etc. which are at half the price and lower. But sorry LOEWE is way better in colour balance and dark scenes. Also if you have window lights from the opposite site, reflection is much more on the other brands. I know it is crazy expensive, and probably way to high for most people. I have a hard time also to spend that kind of money, but having that kind of natural colours is addiction. The dark scenes you have in movies looked so much better also. If you love movies this increases the value for money a lot. Probably for regular TV and gaming it is overkill to justify.the price.

Have to agree with you on this one Paul, for the price point you'd expect similar specs to other TV's, maybe it's aimed at people who either don't know any better or don't care or love their Loewe sound bars and wanted a TV to match,
Anyway, I hope you are feeling better pal, I also hope the kids and partner are all well 👍🏻

Hey, where are you from that is Weymouth playing on the TV at the begining, is that where you live?

It's a high end premium brand. Of course they'll charge that amount for it. There's clearly a market for it. Or else they wouldn't be selling it at that price. It's now down to roughly £2,500 - £3,000. The build and styling of the TV are superb hence the price. As they say buy cheap buy twice. I'd consider buying the loewe Bild i 55 DR+. I've owned a loewe 55" connect LCD TV for the last 10 years. And I'm looking at replacing it. With a more upto date loewe OLED TV. 😊

You’re making a big fuss over the remote.Loewe are known for long remotes, it’s a two hand remote . Lay in one hand and use your main hand to press buttons. Agree the Loewe tag on the right side is to distracting and spoils the look of the tv.

… na, the logo on the right side is since years a well known design. If you want LOEWE. you want the eye on the bottom and logo at this place.

Overpriced. We had a loewe 32 CRT and it looked lovely and was beautifully built but the picture was beaten comfortably by the Toshiba 36 set in the other room! The screen was outdated tech although it did support 100hz for a CRT which meant no flicker. Like bang and Olsen a nice bit of furniture but the value for money is not great. You can get much better performing TVs at this price. Spec doesn't sound much better than my 3 year old LG C9.

The LG 55” CS sitting at £1099 but come to Black Friday will probably drop to the £899 mark. With it being kept on for the 2023 range makes it a banging price and hits all the Xbox SX.
The C3 has a free £400 soundbar at £1499 at Currys, if bought with the Sky Stream bring off an extra 3 or 6 months worth of sky stream off the price of the tv if I can remember.

… it’s indeed a LG 120 Hz display. the reason for the missing 4K/120p is the HDMI interface. It supports only HDMI 2.0b, not 2.1. - would it be nice to having it? yes, but if you not a hardcore gamer who cares? 🤷🏼‍♂️ and gamer are not the target group of LOEWE. anyway, you can using the TV at 60p gaming, and that’s fine.

absolutely absurd for that TV to cost that much for what it delivers 3k at 55inch and no 120hz not even thinner bazels let's not talk about that 🤖 remote or that weird placement tag😂 😂

You can get lg 55c2 for 1200 euros with half the price ,better HDR, better picture quality and 4 hdmi at 4k 120hz for better gaming experience.
