i think the eighth person he's talking about is "tanod" because tanod is roaming in their "barangay" when 12am to 4am and tanod has a stick too they carried it when they're roaming around .. and the reason why they roam is to check if there's a teens still playing outside and it's called "CURFEW HOURS" curfew is a command to avoid kidnapping!!!.
yes it's true when you know that's there's a lot of batang hamog 🤣 but when I watch mana's vlog when she was in the Philippines she have a few night vlog hopefully foreigner will be safe in our country 😁✌️✌️
@@yoshithejapaneseguy5391 You can be anywhere in the world, if you're not sure about a place or the people, it would be wise to keep an eye of your belongings. Always ask people what locations you should watch out for. We love to shop at the Divisoria bazaars in Quiapo Manila Philippines because you can buy a lot of cheap stuff there. But I never bring credit cards just cash and driver's ID. I put some cash in my secret pocket n I put my wallet in front pocket because of possible pick-pocketers. I put some cash in all my pockets just in case.

Philippines is a very friendly and open country. For the most part, it is a safe but like all other countries, there are sketchy places that should be avoided. I would do some research or ask your Filipino friends which places are safe or not. Also venturing out alone in the middle of the night is not a good idea. So be careful. When you visit the Philippines, do keep in mind that despite the friendly people, it is still a third world country so some people can get desperate. Please always practice caution. And always be careful.
We're currently experiencing typhoon and monsoon rains in Manila this week so I hope you're not experiencing heavy rains over there. Keep safe always! ❤ Also great that you were already vaccinated! 😉👍
The reason why security guards checks everyones bags and check your pockets its because they are making sure people are not bringing guns and other harmful stuff they are doing that to make people safe:-)
No place is absolutely safe. You always need to be vigilant and aware of what's happening around you. Never put yourself in a vulnerable position and everything will be fine. 🙂
And yes, I am from Iloilo City, Philippines. Iloilo City is a City of Love and a Province here in the Philippines. I felt like proud somehow when Kohei said, "Iro-Iro City? I love that." Like yeah, come and enjoy the beaches and foods that Iloilo City had to offer!

They are both smart. Yoshie is opinionated and the 'life' of the discussion. Kohei is observant, his facial expressions shows his opinion, and he has stored knowledge about some things.
I went to Japan last February 2019. I can say it is very safe especially at night. My friends went to Don Quijote (Donki) around midnight and we can freely walk without any worries! Will surely go back to Japan ❤
If your foreigner, and you are lost you can ask directions to security guards. They know almost everything in the place, sometimes they’re the first respondents of any kind of situation in the mall, small fire, that can extinguished by a fire extinguisher, a brawl ect.
You are right Yoshi, it depends where and what time. Kohei never fails to amaze me, so insightful and his heart seem to be in the right place. Credit to the parents for good upbringing. I was born, grew up, and still lives in Mindanao (we are just 2 hours away from Davao). We learned that to be safe, we have to know where not go. I studied in Iloilo so I agree it is safe and Boracay is just 4 hours drive away :)
You are right yoshi, it's depends on the place here..even in other country, there is safe and dangerous place too..But overall I can say, we are one of the most hospitable and friendly people I'm sure on that!😊 So dont hesitate to come!😊
Security Guards are mostly at entrance and exit to check each luggage of there are stuffs that are dangerous. They sometimes patrol to help people especially if there are lost children or stuffs.
I am a Filipina and I also experienced what Mana said. I went to a talipapa (small market beside the road) and my money was kulang (not enough) because I bought some other stuffs but the vendor said, "Just pay me tomorrow Ma'am." And if you are already a suki (regular customer) they will give you extra more than what you pay for. For example, if you buy a kilo of mango, they will give a another 1/4 or half a kilo. But that does not happen at all times. It depends on the store and the person.
Yes Iloilo City (City of Love) is one of the safest city.. also known as WAKANDA OF THE PHILIPPINES in covid 19 pandemic respond.. From Iloilo here. Fun watching you guys!😘 Keep having videos! .
Many great things in the Philippines that you can forget about scary things. If you ever decided to visit the Philippines always remember this. Secure your things, do research first about the do's and don'ts, know their culture and be careful. For me Philippines is safe if you're a careful person. Because no one will touch you(in bad way like do something bad to you) if you're being kind and careful towards the person or people whom you are socializing. Just be mindful enough. Philippines is a great country. Everyone is accepted.
1. This is generally true in a generally safe are. When in doubt, ask the locals. 2. This could happen only if we know that you will return it. It's buy now pay later thing. 3. The idea of the security guard in malls is prevention of crime Be smart when you travel anywhere. Pick pockets and snatchers are also in other countries.
Security Guards are very helpful here in the Philippines especially SM(mega mall) ex:if you're lost or something to ask for help if you are first timer in that place it easily approach them they will assist you.
every country have that, the most thing we do is to take care our selves, because first we are not a citizen that country,@ we need to respect the law at most..anyway thankyou mana @ fumiya to honest answers.
SM Malls are the biggest malls in the world. Three of them are SM Mall of Asia, Megamall and SM City North Edsa which can be found in Metro Manila. As per the security guard, it is a preventive measure to protect the shoppers from any untoward incidents. Please be aware that terrorist attacks or crimes can happen at any time, that's why all establishments have security guards.
There job is not all about securing the places and the people, they are also a big help to ask for a direction and ask for assistance. Like for you, a foreigner, when you go to mall or some places in the Philippines security guards is a big help to ask for a assistance and directions. :))
from the many reaction videos i've seen, that's how most foreigners feel upon seeing for the first time the so many security guards scattered around. they'd feel anxious
Did you know Davao was called Japankou or Japanese Town, because in the 1930s Japanese work in Abaca farms for Japanese businessmen & until now there is a Japanese school named Nikkei Jin Kai in fact former Prime Minister Abe visited the place that is also the place of the Philippines President.
SM Mall is not just a "big mall" (although some of the largest malls in the world are located in the Philippines). Literally almost every city has an SM Mall.
As a Filipino, I agree to Yoshi,, it depends on the place, time and situation. I don't know if I am the only filipino like this, but There are places here in the Philippines that I don't feel safe at all, buut If you are careful you can be safe. One time, my classmates live in this place, we visited her and as we walk in their street, she said to us to just ignore if the "tambay" or bystander will "catcall" us bcs if we react in negative they will attack us and if they'll know that we are not from that place its gonna get real dangerous. And that stick to my mind every time I go to places, I ignore people who catcalling me and just walk fast if you're walking. I Do not pay attention to them, and if I feel not safe I will go to a bunch of people and pretend I was with them or just buying in a store, just so some people will be present.
It's nice to know that some people who made a video about how safe or not the Philippines is doesn't sugarcoat it. I mean, let's face the truth that Philippines is sometimes a bad news. That even travelers from other foreign countries doesn't want to go back here because they were being fooled, scammed, victims of pick pocketers, and even made them the ticket to stepping out of poverty. There were a lot of bad things here but if you really wanna travel here, make sure you've got all the information, the do's and don'ts, the places you wanna go, everything! So your journey in visiting here in the Philippines will be worthwhile! 🤗🥰 I'm late for this comment (I'm not used to staying late at night) but I hope you'll gonna read this @yoshithejapaneseguy 😁🥰 And hope to see you here in Cebu, Philippines or maybe I'm gonna see you there in Japan when I'm able to travel. 😅🤗
All malls here in the Philippines has a security guard. The purpose is to make sure that everyone enter the mall are safe. They check bags if someone has deadly weapons etc.
I'm from Iloilo City and I actually did not know that our city was one of the safest city in Southeast Asia. Haha I'm glad to be informed by watching this video. 😊😊
I guess it's the same in all other countries. You have to exercise caution in specific situations. We treat tourists well because it's one of the country's source of income - tourism but that should also be a mutual thing - tourists should respect the people, the country and the different cultures of wherever they are traveling. It'll be great to have you here ❤ as much as I also enjoy traveling to your country. 🥰🥰🥰
Security guards are everywhere.. but it doesn't mean that it's dangerous.. they are just there to ensure the security of each establishment or the customer.. sometimes they also serve as receptionist cause you can ask them some where to questions..
I love you both. Hope to see you here in the Philippines and try the foods also. Enjoying so much watching you. God bless and more videos too. Love you both. 😘😘
I think if you in capital region you have to more careful where you going or what time you are going outside but other provinces here in ph is really safe and peaceful. But this time of pandemic there's curfew that you cannot go outside at 10pm to 5am.
i think the eighth person he's talking about is "tanod" because tanod is roaming in their "barangay" when 12am to 4am and tanod has a stick too they carried it when they're roaming around .. and the reason why they roam is to check if there's a teens still playing outside and it's called "CURFEW HOURS" curfew is a command to avoid kidnapping!!!.
Yes, It is called "Utang" or Credit, instead of money it is the goods from sari-sari stores. Not all store allows it but most
Be mindful and be careful in everything that's the only thing you need to do. There are a lot of good people in this world!
I like the honesty of Fumiya about his opinion.. Stay safe and Goodnight!XD
that why we love him
yes it's true when you know that's there's a lot of batang hamog 🤣 but when I watch mana's vlog when she was in the Philippines she have a few night vlog hopefully foreigner will be safe in our country 😁✌️✌️

I'm late for this comment (I'm not used to staying late at night) but I hope you'll gonna read this @yoshithejapaneseguy 😁🥰 And hope to see you here in Cebu, Philippines or maybe I'm gonna see you there in Japan when I'm able to travel.

I just love how Kohei does the cute stance of mana sooooo kawai😍😍
I guess it's the same in all other countries. You have to exercise caution in specific situations. We treat tourists well because it's one of the country's source of income - tourism but that should also be a mutual thing - tourists should respect the people, the country and the different cultures of wherever they are traveling. It'll be great to have you here ❤ as much as I also enjoy traveling to your country. 🥰🥰🥰
It's nice to see you again kuya kohei and kuya yoshi.
Watching again your new video😍
Fan from philippines😍😍
Love you both KUYA Thankyou so much from the bottom of my heart 💖
