This was perfect as a vanity desk for me. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxMAlHv7-BBWMrPRm5-uEoD6rtdT7SG2Qr Especially the glossy finish. Easy to cleanI was looking for something that wasn't the traditional white and with more of a modern feel. This fit the bill beautifully. I put it together with no problems, by myself in under an hour.Make sure you double check where you place the drawer tracks before screwing down. I had one track that needed to be aligned with different holes than the rest.

Hi Greg! How do you deal with dust in the air? Separate pouring room? Is it possible to cover the poured epoxy with something that will not catch the regiments? Amazing table :-) Regards
This just earned you another sub! As someone who is going to try starting to do woodworking projects in 2022 using epoxy (mainly starting with cutting boards & coaster sets...start small for now), I would love to gt your opinion and advice on my design choices and what tools I may need.
Hi, thanks for all the support. On our latest video I left a link in the description that will take you to our website where you can download a document I wrote the last 8 months going into detail om how to build River tables like us, unfortunately there is a small fee to it because im selling my knowledge and everything i know on epoxy tables. ❤️
What did you sand the wood down too. Rubio Monocoat doesn’t recommend sanding past 120 grit because they say it won’t absorb the oil but I sand down to 240 and sometimes 320 and then apply it. They say the colors of the wood also will be subdued at higher sanding grits because of less absorption. What are your thoughts?
Yes your pretty spot on. When im using Rubio im only sanding my wood to 180 grid, when you go higher the oil doesn’t penetrate the wood that well, but I discovered odies oil, odies oil you can sand to 400 grid, so im my shop im using both oils depending on the project im busy with.
Loved watching the video, both parts actually. Thank you so much for posting this. The table looks incredible. What a fantastic outcome. I’m glad all that hard work paid off!! ♥️
I totally agree!! Being able to see these creations come to life, and so done with just a basic set of tools, a clever mind, and a brilliant artist!! Much love from Brisbane, Australia. ♥️♥️🇦🇺
Hi Greg, absolute stunning work. What pad do u use to polish the 2000 polish and the 3000 polish? I'm using 3m 2 stage polish but unsure on which pads to use.

Hey Greg, thanks so much for your videos and content. Super informative, not many people making tables here in New Zealand so I'll definitely be following your guidance,. Keep the content coming !!
Gorgeous, wow - I love the dedication and craftsmanship! Question: Did you polish/sand the bottom too to get the opaque look in the epoxy? Or only the top?
@@diywithgreg 1- what is the white stuff you polished the table with before applying rubio monocoat? 2- which epoxy did you use and where in SA can one buy that epoxy?
Hey Greg, when sanding, do you put any kind of liquid solution between sanding? If so, what would you recommend on wood and on the epoxy? Also, can you use a belt sander on the first sanding? If so what grit do you use?
We dont use any liquids when sanding. Just the sandpaper, and we used to start sanding with a belt sander but we found that its removing to much materials at once so we stopped with it.
Hi Greg, thanks for the video, that's a really cool table! Question: When you polish, it's impossible to keep it just on the epoxy, so some of the wood gets polished as well. How do you get the wood sanded back down so it can absorb the Rubio finish? Thanks

Awesome work Greg. Is there a safe minimum thickness for the epoxy in a table build?
Thanks for the kind words.
It all depends on the on the slab you get before you start with your table.
I would say nothing smaller the 40 to 45mm
