He let his brother for jears let tortured. His brother had the strength to let Elena live her live but he had to ruin it. I have a lot more points. I don't think his brother is the good one but Stefan is the psychotic abusive guy that let everyone think he is the good one.

He terrorized mystic falls pretty much the whole first season, he abused and assaulted Caroline, constantly lied and went behind Elena’s back, totally went off the rails when Elena (possessed by Katherine) broke up with him, tried to kill Jeremy multiple times. Delena was the wayyyyyy more toxic relationship
