Today we are all taking a wellness coastal break on beautiful Pio Island Azores, one of the 7 regions of Portugal. Enjoy this bonus episode!
We spent most of the day on this amazing lava coast line. we were surrounded by raw nature and just a few steps from our family's home base. The tide was low, sunny sky's, warm temperature, the ocean was calm and a deep Atlantic blue.. What more can you ask for!
Lajes, Pico Island and the rest of the Azores are full of these unbelievable nature areas. These islands should be on every nature lover's bucket list.

Thank you for all your videos! I’ve been enjoying them all. I’ve been to the Acores many times and love the islands. Just a note that the videos are amazing but when you’re actually there, it’s paradise! There’s no other way to describe it! I truly recommend the Acores for a vacation or staycation, which is still my dream. Hopefully one day it will come true. For now I am living my dream through your eyes! Thank you Laura and Carlos!❤️

You are a sweet couple and I enjoy living the dream through your eyes and the internet. I relate so much to you, Carlos. I’m from Sao Miguel but have lived in western Canada since I was a child. However, I do make it back often because as you know for many of us Azoreans circumstances may keep us away from the Azores for a while but it’s always part of our soul and ultimately connects us again. While I wait to make it back there ( I’m in my early 50s and retiring soon ) I enjoy and appreciate you guys sharing Pico with us. Carlos, if I may say so too you are one lucky man to have a wonderful partner who shares in the same passion for the Azores as Laura does. One day we shall meet.

What a beautiful, peaceful place! Looks like the weather’s getting pretty nice over there. When I go hiking in the mountains, I always tell people I am going to church. I’m definitely going to work on doing nothing when I get over there. We have been following Rahel’s channel also, and she does some amazing photography.

We just bought a Vacation Villa in Caldas da Rainha (ten minutes from the beach and lagoon) and look forward to exploring the beauty and culture of Portugal. We're on a search for land...only travel with four pets has its own set of obstacles and forced us to buy immediately. I say with a huge smile because I love the temporary villa. Stunning footage and thank you for sharing.

Hello Carlos and Laura, I know Heide and John from Oakville as we live in westoak trails. They told me about you guys and by chance I have already been watching you guys. Love your channel keep em coming. My wife is Azorean from Soa miquel and I am 2nd gen azorean born here but spent full summers on the island growing up as a kid. We love the islands and we are prepping for our retirement in soa miquel within 2-3 years. My wife is so jelly a, fig tree, anoca,chestnut her 3 most fav things...lol.

What a beautiful relaxing place! My husband and I had to postpone our trip, which should have been going on now through June, to Portugal, São Miguel and Pico Island because Portugal did not open up yet to Americans. We rebooked for August and September for 6 weeks, hopefully we will be allowed in and Covid will be under control. We are both fully vaccinated. We will be on Pico Island September 13th for a few days, We would love to meet up with you. Will you be back on the island?

Pio island?? doesn't exist in Açores - the guy could at least wrtite the name correctly if he truly appreciated the island - but he is just passing by in his endless touristing around the world to find occasions to paint his paintings - he must be gone by now
Sorry we are not clear on what you are talking about, it jus sounds negative. Sometimes if you don't have anything positive or good to say, say nothing, this is what my father taught me. By the way, this amazing painter/tourist is arriving next week and will be staying for 3 months here on Pico Island. He is actually considering buying a property here! Take care!
