      Guess you are ignorant. You have to pay before they will let you look at the site. Free trial means nothing. And if you have to spend a certain amount before you get free shipping that's a problem. If you order freezer type things that minimum is 120.00.

    Costco has way bigger sizes and lower prices . Then when they have a sale I just stock up for the year . Flavcity has a video each month to show you which healthy items are on sale.

    Amazon Fresh also charges fees though. It was a complicated model tbh. I was turned off by Thrive trying to control me as a consumer. Show the prices or no membership. That’s ridiculous.

    As others mentioned, it's NOT cheaper, generally; a lot of stuff is frequently out of stock; and I feel that having to pay just to browse is bogus. Also, I hadn't used Thrive Market in years, yet yesterday - a Sunday - they charged my PayPal $60 for a membership I didn't order....totally unauthorized. I couldn't call because it was Sunday, but I was able to chat, and requested an immediate refund and deletion of my data. Instead of apologizing and saying, "Sure," the agent offered me a discount and free shipping on my first few orders. I was livid. I received two emails last night, the first saying my account had been refunded, and the second saying my card on file had been removed. THEN....at 1:54 this morning, I got ANOTHER email saying, "Welcome to Thrive Market! Your membership is active." Screw them. I'll never use it again. Misfits Market or Imperfect Foods are far superior, and you can cancel at any time.

    The thing about comparing to Amazon Fresh is that for an order between $50-100 Amazon would charge you a $7 delivery fee and you’d have to factor in a tip for the delivery. So at the end of the day Thrive would probably be about $20 cheaper for that order.

    • @MissSarahEK
      @MissSarahEK  Год назад +4

      Yes great point! Amazon doesn’t charge delivery fee if you have Amazon prime, so I thought that would balance out since they both charge membership fees. You’re right about the tip though!
      Although one other thing I didn’t count for Thrive Market is the worker Health and Safety fee which seems to be a few dollars per order.

    • @ballroomred
      @ballroomred Год назад +7

    I had Thrive Market for almost a year, and during that time I could find what I wanted generally less expensive elsewhere. I decided not to cancel my subscription, but there is no way to do this on your own without chating or emailing with a retention specialist first. I'm glad my credit card for their store happens to be invalid now, because at this point I was not able to get confirmation that my service was cancelled before the scheduled renewal date next month. This process shoould be quick, easy, and immediate, but it is not.

  • @HardBlues
    @HardBlues 9 месяцев назад

    So Thrive is cheaper but then you say the edge is going toward Amazon? That part i don't get because they have items out of stock. In that comparison chart if its out of stock i would have given it to Thrive.

  • @moonlightxcv
    @moonlightxcv 5 месяцев назад +1

    Haha it just hit me that even if things are “cheaper” on Thrive you’re still paying the same amount you would in store or delivered like Instacart bc those don’t require to pay for a membership. So it’s like that technically goes to the extra amount that is “more expensive” elsewhere. Well played Thrive, well played.

  • @GrumpyOldBastard
    @GrumpyOldBastard 8 месяцев назад +2

    Sadly in your review none of it related to what I call everyday staples used in the average home. As for the term "organic" I've come to the conclusion it is a marketing model used to increase price and sales often without true oversight from the FDA or any governing agency with respect to true organic quality. My initial reaction when visiting the sight and being required to provide personal information/data prior to seeing products and prices was nope were done.

    U have to wait for the special sales when those Lara bars are so much cheaper than anywhere else. Thrive does have unique brands but then they copy it in their own thrive brand and stop carrying the brand they copied, I don’t like that but sometimes it turns out better, not always tho. Thats when I have to buy directly from the unique brand, so it’s a nice way to introduce new things I would have never found out about.

    I just bought a 1-year membership at the price you stated,...and received my first order today. My order included 5 items. One of the items was damaged which most likely was caused by the handling of the box. Using the company website they immediately refunded the money for that item. My suggestion would be to read the complete ingredients label for each product on the company website,....as even though many items look and sound healthy,...that isn't necessarily true. With that said I am willing to roll the dice for a year and hopefully be pleased with this membership,......if not I would still be content that I gave it a try.
