I bought a 20 foot extension for a total of 40' of track for my Model 40 along with the trailer package and some other options. I had Stanton deliver it. He put the saw head in the bed of his truck and towed the two base 20' track with the other 20' strapped on top of the base track. Worked like a champ. I lifted the saw head out of his pickup bed with my 80hp tractor. Highly recommend ordering the largest engine option - well worth it.

we are welding up a 10' extension for my EZ Boardwalk 40 this weekend...can't wait to get it all put together so I can do 26' beams. But 40'...wow! That's impressive.

@@homeplaceadventures Yeah, I wanted to be able to handle up to about 36' sticks for my timber framing build. And as Adam points out, the real issue there is material handling. I might have bit off more than I can chew. We'll see how it goes when I get to that point.

Adam, Sunday morning viewer here. Very educational for me and I wish Randy well on his hobby investment. When I get an opportunity to meet a sawyer on site I will have a base knowledge of what is about to happen. Thank you. Keep the videos coming. Have a great day! Keith

When trailering it, you move the saw head to the center of the track over the trailer wheels. There is a tab and a set of bolts to hold the head onto the track. This is also the best position to secure it when you expect bad weather.

Great walk through on the EZ Boardwalk 40. I’m loving mine! I agree 100% about the power lift for the sawhead. On this mill, due to its design of how to raise and lower it, zero need for a power lift. Other mills are configured differently that require a LOT more physical exertion to raise and lower the mill. On my previous mill it was easier to remove each board so I didn’t have to raise and lower the saw so much. With the 40 I can easily cut board after board without having to remove a board each cut bc it is very little effort to raise the sawhead. Great video covering what is arguably the best manual mill available.

good video and job glad randy done his home work you may have died not knowing you had the log turning stops. when i ordered my woodland mills 30 max. it was a 6 month woodmizer was 2 years, hudson ,ez board walk and others was over a year. the board walk is a good mill. you are right to do production sawmilling you have to have a hydratic mill you will kill your self turning and loading loads by hand. take care, be safe and well.

That really depends on the logs. Size and species. If I was doing logs like I did in this video. I usually can square up a log in 30-45 minutes. So realistically 8-10 in an 8 hour day conservatively. Not rushing

When I buy something I ask either no questions at all or very very few questions - I look at the item and choose to buy based on the merits of the item. I expect the same when I am selling. When selling I have no interest in answering your 50,000 questions. You are welcome to look over the item and make your own determinations. Fair go ?
