It sure is! We're getting the hopes in tiny bit but it's better than not getting them, I hope we can get to the bottom of it on the next video so we can start turning it into a drifter 😁
Not gonna lie, I was nervous for Jono when they did the compression test, but that sh*tty spark plug gave me a lot of hope. I know what it's like when the heart has fallen for a car, it's soul-crushing when any issues happen. Plus it was revving fairly smoothly with the car having to guess how much fuel to use, so that is (to my dumb mind) another good sign the engine is good. Fresh battery, new MAF, filter and some fresh fuel and hopefully it's a winner. I do like how much more confident that lads are on camera, you've come a long way in a short time, love the channel.
Nice one brother! 👍 we truly appreciate that, we're not the most confident people on camera but we do feel like we're making process so for someone to say we're getting better means a lot! And hopefully it is just the maf sensor now to make it run properly! Fingers crossed
Nice one mate, hows your channel coming along? We corrected ourselves on screen, its a 4 door so it the e90, the e92 was the same shape but the coupe ✌️
It sounded awful outside copart and I thought oh crap! Fitting new plugs was a big difference. When you get the maf and an air filter and lid it will be different again I hope. Fingers crossed for the drifting dream to become a reality 🤞🙏

I would recommend, drain the fuel tank and put fresh in just to rule that out as it could have been sat for a while. That's if the MAF doesn't fix the issue. I've seen a few instances with stale fuel causing starting/low power issues particularly since the introduction of E10.
Thanks mate, not a bad shout! The maf is ordered so when it arrives we'll try it, if you see us draining fuel on the next video....you know why ha ha 😂

Great bargain. That was a simple cure to get the engine running better. Whoever had this before missed this simple trick, and its their loss. Thanks mate, it's working but only at 60-70% but it's looking like it should run properly once we find the issue, I hope it's just the missing air flow meter....Will do mate 😀
If a MAF doesn't help it, look for Valvetronic and Vanos fault codes. If the valvetronic motor is dead it won't get enough inlet valve lift. If you disconnect the valvetronic sensor (small round plug at the front of the cam cover) it should go to a default setting and run better. An inlet vanos fault code is potentially bad news - it's wear in the front inlet cam bearing ledge that bleeds off too much oil pressure so the vanos can't actuate. They were a nice engine but can be a bastard at this age.
Thank you mate, we appreciate your help. It sounds like you know what you're talking about ha ha it does have a valvetronic fault code and we've already ordered one so that's the next step, i might try and unplug it in the meantime to see if it changes 😉 👍
