What Booneville has in abundance is something far more valuable: a tight-knit community where folks would give a stranger the shirt off their back. Here, families are incredibly close, and everyone is treated like a friend.
This community is rich in ways that many might not fully understand. In Booneville and the surrounding Eastern Kentucky counties, there are no strangers. We’re here to shine a light on the positive side of Appalachia, an area often misunderstood.
The Appalachian people are some of the most welcoming, down-to-earth, and authentic folks you’ll ever meet. We’re tired of the negativity that often surrounds this area. It’s time to show everyone what Eastern Kentucky is really like-a bastion of beauty around every corner, filled with kind, humble people who would do anything for their fellow man.

It is so good to see things moving forward at home. I grew up there, and moved out of the mountains in my early 20's to raise a family. I will be back to retire there. However, it so warms my heart to see people being able to live & work & raise a family there. Thanks so much for sharing my hometown with the world

You know, this video seems like a promo ad. Interesting that it was filmed on a golf course and is filled with people who are not struggling. I would love to see legit stats on the number of people in Booneville, or anywhere in rural Appalachia, really, who are making $80,000-$100,000 working from home. Since COVID, some parts of rural Kentucky have seen an influx of people from big cities (Chicago comes to mind) who have moved here BUT have lived off their savings from selling their house. Finding a job, not easy.
Where are the jobs
Booneville (Vincent) will always be my home town and a special place in my heart. Always dreamed of the town and community being reinvigorated. 🤍
