you have so many instruments. Time to build a plane now 😄
The heading indicator will be handy for making a wind direction repeater. I had a pair of synchros made for 400Hz and 110V that I hooked up to a 24V 50Hz transformer and mounted one in a plastic tupperware box in the roof with a small wind vane. The indoor unit followed the outdoor unit faithfully but had very little torque at the low frequency and voltage.. A nice feature was the ability to urn the indicator pointer and if it did not return it meant that there was no wind and I had just turned the windvane outside.
Eventually the outdoor unit failed as I had failed to includ a bearing seal, the right thing to do would be to mount it upside down for much longer life.
Excellent that you tested for Radium.
So many WW2+ instruments are unfortunately very hot with Ra226.

Ahh, you did on that one whit Tritum vial...
Enjoyed the video. You have a minor typo in the title. You put 'brag bag' instead of 'grab bag'.
Thnaks, it's corrected.
The original title would also be valid in this case I think. Not a common idiom though.
