I’m a Harley guy but I’m a big fan of this bike! Indian has grabbed a few big names from Harley over the last couple of years. Steve Chamberlain, Mr. Forever Rad himself and there’s a pretty big Harley stunt guy in this video 😉 They’re doing it right 🤘🏼
Direct competition for Harley Davidson 2023 Lowrider S... if it can be bought for 500 dollars less then HD will loss me. WOW, very nice. thanks for the report been waiting all morning to hear something.👍
Oh wow! I've been trying to decide for months between an Indian Chief and a Low Rider S as my next bike. I'd pretty much decided to go with a Low Rider, but Indian pulled me back in to consider this one lol
@@codymitchell5397 lol, yeah this is a great looking bike. Literally the only thing keeping me from deciding this over the low rider is the availability of aftermarket support for the bike. Nothing beats Harley's aftermarket support, but there's still enough accessories out there to customize the chief a bit
@@tomoates8568 a few years ago yeah but now the market has really caught up! It still may not be as much as Harley but almost anything you can do to a Harley you can do to an Indian now
The quarter fairing is polarizing when looking at pictures and videos of the bike just parked. However seeing a rider on the sport chief it brings out the 6” risers and the quarter fairing just becomes part of the bike.
The bike looks amazing!!! Just ordered mine, can’t wait to add it to the chieftain dark horse and roadmaster limited in the shop!!! Great job Indian!! Loved your video as well Ricky !!!
Nice. I like the fact that they are listening to the community. The club style bike look is very popular. They tried to do that a bit with the rogue, but let’s be honest… this was always the bike to do it with. Would have been even better with a 2 into 1 exhaust set up. Love the red!! I actually prefer the 116 for this bike. I think this makes it a beast!! The liquid 108 would have made this too bulky. Do you know if they have a stage 2 option for it? Now I’m looking at trading my scout bobber in. Shit… why did I buy all those upgraded parts over the winter. 😂
Looks like an awesome bike and just saw the ad here in Australia. Pricing here is $32,995, which is all in the exchange rate and shipping to Australia. I am just getting back into riding, so I will be buying the Scout Bobber. Have been doing a lot of research and tips on the Scout and cannot wait to get it. The Chief Sport will be a bike I will look at in a few years, after doing some trips with the Scout. Keep up the good work Ricky and would love to see more videos on how to ride the Scout. Cheers from Down Under 👍👍
I want one so badly! But, in that gorgeous dark metallic grey paint scheme they do, two toning with the blacked out engine. That would be a stunning bike!
@RickyNotSoMartin It's in their best interest to Lend you one for the last verdict! I'm patiently waiting for Your last verdict! Cheers. Keep it up Bro!!!
Great way to show the other guys how to come outta box with all those features standard! I would like to see a metallic gloss paint finish on it for sure. I really like brotha. I want to test ride one asap! Great video, my man. If you get a chance to do a review, I will definitely be watching.
hmm pretty rad but was hoping for something that was a little more touring friendly that's a direct competitor to the Low Rider ST -- bigger fairing, hard bags, bigger tank--without having to bump up to the challenger/chieftain range
@@RickyNotSoMartin Would be awesome if Indian made a fairing like this for the Super Chief. Then, you would have your pillion and bags! Can you find out if this fairing would fit?? Please!
1:40 says it all.. eh, I'm not a fan of the retro windscreen. I'd say I'd choose the Chief Darkhorse instead if I were to choose one.. but it's not enough to get a second bike in my garage. Maybe seeing one in person will get me to like it better.
Love the look. Me encantaría verla en persona pero se ve brutal. Lastima q en irlanda solo hay un dealer y no tiene modelos en galleria, tienes q comprarla para verla
Is just what we expected for a Low Rider S competitor, one of the best HD seller. I think it deserves success but stage II/III is mandatory. Seems to me that both wheels are thinner in this model. Could be? Wonder which parts fit the 2022 models. I want this seat and the handlebar risers for my dark horse
I think they're missing the mark by excluding either a Sport Touring variant of the FTR or a performance touring version of the chief to compete with the Low Rider ST; especially by excluding the power plus in something the size/weight of the chief.
Nice bike, I like the chief and Springfield models. I had a scout but sold it. Just like Harley, they are a rich mans bike. I dont know a biker who owns one as most working guys cant afford over 15k bike. I ride a Yamaha Raider thats 113 cu and I paid 8k for it used with 5 year warranty left. I bought the scout for 8.5k used with 1k miles. Harley and Indian just like their bikes more than I do.
Don't care for the looks, but.. that's me. I ordered a Darkhorse a month ago and I'm more than looking forward to it. Happy to see other people getting what they want, though.. and the Brembo's are a nice touch.
Great looking and performing bike. Indian still needs a bike to compete with the Harley Heritage. That would be a vintage model on this new Chief frame. Just some vintage fenders and bags.
Dyna line is alive! This has all the upgrades I ever wanted on my Dyna that I did after market, great design Indian, another mans trash is another mans treasure, wish Harley kept the Dyna's but the soft tails are nice too lower rider S and these will make for great competition and innovation from both.
The only issue I have with this model and all the thunderstroke equipped models is the fact that it's not much of an upgrade vs an old twin-cam Harley while being more complicated vs the M8, while making way less power. Indian limited themselves by not being able to offer a larger and more powerful engine like Harley has with the M8 lineup. I will admit its a great looking bike for sure, but I don't see any TS116 making anywhere close to the power of a M8114 both stg 2 and above. For reference, a 114 with CR485 cam and supporting mods can make over 120whp/tq. That's damned impressive. I also think it woulda been awesome to have utilized the PP engine vs the TS.
Love my Sportster S. But I would love to have that Indian 4” touch display instead of the Harley one. If Indian made the Scout Bobber with that display and the same power as the Sportster S I would go with the Indian all day. But I love my Sportster S, ridiculous machine.
shows how much smarter Indian is right now than Harley... Buy a Harley and spend thousands in customization just to get to this level. I am a Harley guy and am very intrigued in buying this bike, only because Harley has no answer right now. Even the new breakout came with one disc up front, no full LED screen and no blacked out versions!! I get it tho, Indian is after a new younger type of rider and why not it's a massively growing market.
It would be cool to see them get a bluetooth speaker system to fit inside the fairing like you can harleys, if they can pull that off, theres a good chance I'll HAVE to atleast give it a try but only if they can pair the master guage unit to the speakers and able to run sound from your phone also, I got faith it's already in the works, so far the indians I've came face to face with along with the owners, no surprise indian is selling just as many if not more new bikes then harley, harley lost my faith after the junk M8 motors of 2017-20 with them aware of the issues and they didnt have the balls to do a recall, the twin cam is all the newer I'll personally go and I do have experience with the junk M8 motors before yall hard suck HD guys come and try to defend it lol
Harley dropped the ball again by cancelling the Dyna. Indian picked up the slack and made it better. Harley has lost touch with what ppl want. Buell is making a sport cruiser even better then the Indian! Bye bye Harley!
Rebel, Sportster, Nightster, all three are disaster. Now is there more disaster, "Sport"Chief and Buell. This design is absolutely ugly for me. I like power cruisers, large fuel tanks, front pegs, fat tires, dislike windscreens and narrow bikes. I really don't understand the philosophy of this art of "sport". Motorcycle sport for me is MotoGP, Isle of Man, Rallye Dakar. But surely not weird looking motorcycles, one like the each other, low power, front pegs and ape handlebars. Or Valentino is completely wrong...
