Very well explained, thanks for this..always struggled with this because I mixed audio in Logic because I'm a lot familiar with it but this is a big time saver! Keep up!
I know this video is over one year old, but I can only see the following options: dynamics obsolete vs dynamics processing. What would you suggest me? Shall I start using the multiband compressor?
Mannn this helped so much!! I film further away from my mic then I'd like, and this really helps me make it sound better. I'll have to keep going back to this video for reference! I really appreciate you taking the time to explain this in detail, but using lingo we can understand. Thanks!!
I have been searching for audio help for a while. I've tried Audition and other channels (that really just want to sell you stuff). This was the best that my voice overs have ever sounded. Many thanks.
this video is the best thing that happened in my amateur video editing life! I watched it a year ago, saved to favs, and now I re-watched it again several times! Thanks a lot! Now I'm moving to filmora, really hope I'll figure out how to do it there
Just wanted to say thank you so much for this! I have been bouncing around between different techies and tutorials, and this also helps me understand why we're making these changes.
Hi tutvid! I'm a student from Philippines who loves to edit things especially pictures and I just recently started to try and do some video editing for my classmates. My first issue was the audio, there's just so many background noise and I didn't know what to do with it. Luckily I found this video and it gave me great results on my project. Thnak you so much tutvid!! I loved and liked your video! +1 sub. Kudos for more vids!
Oh my god this is beautiful. I knew zero about audio before this. You explain it very well, and you have improved the quality of my work from 'dirt' -> 'pretty ok' all at once.
> Makes video about making good sound in Premiere > Is drowned out by own outro music I'm just playing though... thanks so much for this vid! Really useful start to audio processing with Premiere.
I shot a documentary the audio I recorded was good [ On a H5 ] but I picked up some background noise is some parts. Audio editing is not my specialty . Thanks for the lesson I can now dive in and fix things.... you have a great way of presenting and taking the fear factor away . cheers jamie
Awesome video, i use RODE wireless, i get lot os hiss even in closed room , i used this settings, now audio quality increased 70%. Thumbs up from India
Thank you for this video, I used to do your tuts for illustrator waaaaayyyyy back. Very helpful learning video editing can be pretty overwhelming with so many things to think about.
Thanks so much man. I just started my channel and podcast. I got adobe audition and premiere pro to help with production. Still learning the ins and outs but you really helped thanks.
on compressor you have the settings wrong..actually having a fast attack it will destroy the punch of your song ,especially if its an edm song..and slow release it will do the same ..you need to put the attack in the middle and a really fast release like even 0.1 -0.5 so you dont mess with the dynamics of the song..very fast attack will make the compressor to work as a limiter..that means nothing goes through and you dont want to make the compressor work so hard on your music or on anything...its a bit complex but if you have a fast release the compressor will work fast to remove just the peaks without damaging the music...long release will take longer for the compressor to release it and thats not good for your sound... you work the compressor to work fast and release fast so you wont destroy your music..also threeshold, you dont need to compress that much unless you are doing just vocal/speach mixing..and for that i suggest to use another program like logic x or ableton live..but thanks for the video
Dude ! Thank you so much for taking time to make this video! Just working on my new video and the sound was so bad. Thanks to your video I'm leveling up in this youtube game! :)
