It's nice to see someone not ragging on this card. It gives 3080 performance with half the power usage. Yea I could buy a 3080 for 500 but I'd have to buy a 200usd psu as well
You said yourself that you like to upgrade every generation that's enough reason to be happy right there 👍 3060ti is the undisputed king of 1080p gaming for years to come IMO but times change and resolutions increase
Upgraded for the 3070 pretty much a $150 upgrade after selling my 3070. The 4070 is exactly what I wanted a nice boost in performance and power usage efficiency. Plus Frame generation can make a huge difference depending on games and is a solid feature to gain fps.
First before anything, very nice card, I wish I could get myself one I do belive the problem with this card is not it's performance by its own, but the price for what we are getting, 70 series cards have been going from 400 to 500, for quite some generations, the msrp for the 2070 was 499, not 599, the 2000 series was not well received either, and even more the 70 once the 60 came out with 15% less performance and 30% cheaper And yes inflation is something to consider, but before from the 570 to 970 stayed between 329 to 400 msrp 2070 to a 1070 is 37% better 120 dollars more msrp, pepole got mad 3070 to a 1070 is double the preformace 3070 to a 2070 is 50% better stayed the same msrp, pepole accepted the price for the performance leap, even with the horrible scalpers prices 4070 to a 3070 31% better 100 dollars more msrp, so pepole are mad once more It's a very good card without a doubt, but not at that price to performance it achieved
Shure its not bad, but 7900xt 20gb 300w is better buy at 800. For 650-750 you can buy used 3090 24gb 350w and that is waay better gpu + FSR3 and its like DLSS3 4070 would be good at 400.... Best budget gpu rx 7800xt 16gb at 500. Best gpu for 3y gaming time is 4090 1440p+rt+high refresh rate shure 1600 but it will last 3-4y !
He said he went with RTX 4000 because he uses RT and DLSS a lot, which are better than the AMD alternatives. I used to be all for AMD, I had R9 270, RX 580 8gb, and I wanted to upgrade to a 5700 XT, but I held out and waited for the next generation and went with a 3060 ti for the DLSS and raytracing, and now I just upgraded to a 4070 (mostly cause my brother needed my GPU). I will be sticking to Nvidia for now, as DLSS, DLDSR, and RT is all currently better than the AMD counterpart. I also play VR games a lot, so the encoder from Nvidia is better. I still have my trusty AM4 platform though with a 5800x3d :)
correction: the borderlands 3 numbers at 7:46 was the High Preset (DX11), not Ultra

what? powersupplies with enough wattage for a 3080 start at 40€, and you can get reputable brands below 60, atleast where i live...
@advancedlemon9314 a 750w 80+gold power supply is 100usd minimum so I was 100 off either way I'd be at the same price as a 4070
plus you'd be giving the difference to electricity bill very shortly anyways
@@02bluehawk not where i live, 750w new can be bought for what i said, but maybe its just way more expensive in the us

stayed the same msrp, pepole accepted the price for the performance leap, even with the horrible scalpers prices
