It's like this in Utah and Lake Tahoe. I rode in Tahoe and you had to be careful getting off the sled, if you did it in churned up stuff you may end up waist to chest deep. Nothing worse than trying to mount a sled when the seat is even with your head. Well there is plenty worse but I hope you get my DRIFT
I wear the convict mono suit by Judged Gear. Judged is an outfitter based in Maine (where I ride). They offered premium gear without the premium price. Def. give them a look, I highly recommend them!
Looks pretty fun.. I have thought about a snowmobike the only thing that holds me back is the lack of power they have. 50 to 60 hp and how heavy the bike is with track seems like they struggle.
What Garmin are you using and what are you downloading the ride to? I’m using the Garmin edge 800 at the moment and it seems like you are using something similar
We use Garmin Montana 610s. We have the BC Backroads chip, which helps a little, and the included topo maps are important to our exploration. With that said, a GPS gives a false sense of security. Explore carefully! We should include more clips about using the GPS and how we explore without getting into trouble (usually). Cheers!
How hard is this to switch over. Is it easy enough or would I want a dedicated bike for it. What would the approx costs be. I checked out Timbersled kits online
Depends how into you want to get, I’m in that debate right now all my buddys started with one bike and switched up the track and wheels every year said on average takes about 5 hours but now they all have dedicated bikes because with all the mods it would take 20 hours, I think I’m going to just get the timber sled aro 3 and switch back and forth they think it will take less than 8 hours and just leave it like that for the winter
I've been off trail sledding 3 times on a RMK 850 155 and 3 times on a KTM 500 timbersled 137.... If you want more fun, for less effort. Choose SnowBike.
you cant go wrong with klim stuff i once return a 4 yr old klim jacket because my arms were getting wet the shipped me a brand new one,,, no questions asked
Check out our channel as we go over different bike and kits and what we think is best suited. There is no one answer for everybody. We now ride FC 450s with Yeti 129 kits.
I have had so much happiness in my life thanks to snowbiking! I hope so many other feel the same. :)
Well done on the video fellas! My brother and I have been in TOBE suits the past two seasons and they have been bulletproof!.
This is great to hear. I have been wondering about those snazzy suits!
Being from the UK I've never seen so much SNOW! Think I need to trip to Canada

That yeti no brake issue, is a big one that needs sorted, before getting up into the steep stuff.
I need that whip sound effect for my bike every once in a while 😂

A YZ450F weighs about 250. The rider weighs 200+ with gear. And then the kit. Seems like they need a wider/longer track in that soft snow.
yea I'd stay on the couch those things suck
@@bossmonkey1126 or on a sled with 180 hp factory turbo
so sick. wish these were capable of power wheelies like a sled or a dirtbike. do the 450s not have the power to power wheelie in powder?

Teflon works pretty good, sometimes I use Crisco. Works just as well
Nice job lads!
"Sufferinsuckatash" as Mr. Snaglepuss would say, let'er RIP Boys. Teflon works best hands down.... er ski down.
OMG, you must have first few. You fast! :P Cheers! I really like this dorky little video.
Lots of easy sled terrain

We like hearing stories like this!
That isnt always the story with Klim.
@@VernonSnowMX I had same with motorfist
Looks like you guys need an aro3 to break trail!
riot 3 pro
The Aro 3 does do ONE thing well and that's break trail. kinda like a pace car
Where are you guys? Don't recognize that parking lot?
We are a bit further up the road towards Nelson on this mission.
Who makes the blue helmet with the face guard that folds down?
ckx
TRAIL325 thx

Make the switch you won’t regret it....
Mono suit will never go back to a 2 piece don't know what brand is best
Im wearing Klim havoc bibs and a Klim tomahawk parka
Nice intro
Thanks. Media 21 does these for us. We just give them some nice clips, then they make the magic happen!
looks fun but man very tiring
Pam barbq spray
Seems like getting stuck is very common.
Deep days it is, or if your new. Those bottomless days really favor the sleds though, and guys that have both usually leave the snowbike's at home.
Just need to wax your ski 😉
