To the people who seem to be discouraged, you don't just have to save money you earn. You can save the money from selling your unwanted possessions on eBay, sell your crafts on etsy or start a side hustle.
i'm still in university and it's pretty much what i got from part time job, also Indonesia which i'm living in has one of the lowest GDP. $700 is not that bad here. i'm planning to live abroad in the future to get a better standard of living tho
akadimas if you plan on living abroad then you definitely need to make more money. 700 goes a long way in countries like Indonesia, Phillipines, and all other southeastern Asian countries like Cambodia, Thailand, and Laos.
i see that, but since i'm in university the 700$ that i'm collecting is for emergency fund only, and other main expenses like tuition ect. my family would still support that.
Thank you. We're very lucky. We do work hard and we are disciplined but we're still very lucky. What's the quote? The harder you work, the luckier I get. :)
Kinda of impossible to save $10,000 a month when a lot of people out here are making $4,000 a month or less. You have good ideas, but everybody can not reach that goal.
to save $10,000 n 2 mths one has to earn $10,000 in 2 mths if not i will never save that much in that amout in time i'm flat out tring to save $300 in 2mths
Ant Ville do what you can. Her 10,000 saved is just her example. The tips used can benefit anyone. However, there is one she didn't give. In her talk about needs vs wants if you really want something instead of asking how much you need to save for it, ask yourself what can I do to make the specific amount of money needed to buy this want? This makes you more open to ideas and possibilities to make and create more money rather than relying on savings to buy wants.
oseme thompson I work with chronic pain patients and athletes. I guess you could say the sports medicine industry. I don't make much since I am not a doctor, but I have learned how to make extra money on the side in addition to saving 19,000 a year after taxes. I have specific goals and priorities within three categories of retirement, emergencies, and dreams. I eliminate or control as many expenses as I can. I utilize as much as 8,500 a year towards whatever dreams I want to achieve per year.
"If you don't do it, no one else will." I like that because it's similar to what my boss says. "If it is to be, it's up to me." I don't know whom he's quoting. I plan to devote a year to saving $10,000 (started in December 2017) so I wanted to see how other people, people on RUclips, were pulling it off. I get that the point of Ms. Thap's video isn't how to save ten thou in two months. That's just how much she saved, considering all her resources, using money-saving methods. To all the people who didn't mind sharing what they make per hour, week, month, or year -- thanks for that. I find it comforting, realistic, and relatable. I only make $960 a month in take-home pay. I share a place with two aimless people (I'm the same.), don't own any pets, have no kids, don't drink or smoke, don't own a cellphone, don't have a girlfriend, and don't own a car. (I like to jokingly say anyone without a car should have a lot of money.) Rent is only 200 a month. So, that's three incomes, and one is saved 100%. So far I've saved 1,000 a month and currently have 6,000 in the bank. I walk around with a thousand in my wallet all year every year and have a thousand laying around the bed room. If you're willing to live this way, I recommend it. You only have to lower your standards for a year. My advice is: let money lay around. Don't spend it; don't think about it. Get ahead and stay ahead. Accumulate savings and have backup. Then, have backup for your backup and let none of that be the money that is spent on a daily basis. Throw these paragraphs of nonsense in the garbage, and let's see if we can confirm what other wanna-be money-savers have been thinking. 1. Don't pay for faster internet. You already went from dialup to DSL; why do you want a faster DSL? I upgraded from a 30-dollar-a-month service to 50 a month with intent to downgrade after a month. It's over a year later. That's over 200 bucks lost. I coulda bought the video games that I thought had to be cut to achieve saver guru status. 2. Don't pay bills by phone if there is a courtesy fee. Companies collecting fees through companies that charge you to pay your bill are the worst. Why have I been doing this for the past five years? I'm even charged for paying the electric bill in person at an authorized payment location. 3. Knock it off with delinquent bills. For years, I never paid utilities on time. This includes actions that incur late fees, like overdue library books. 4. Buy highly perishable foods with intent to cook/eat immediately. How many times have you bought broccoli but waited too long to eat it? Don't buy fruits and veggies and expect it to still look edible a week later. 5. Try skipping dessert for a few months. Have you seen the price of supermarket cakes? It's no wonder halves are offered. Sugar has no nutritional value, anyway. 6. Don't subscribe to an internet service AND cable/satellite. Pick one. I'm seriously thinking of living in the woods for a year. Now I just need to find someone willing to do that with me. All the money I'm gonna save ...
To all the people complaining and saying, "I dont even make that much in two months, how am I supposed to save that much?" No duh, its like you going over to another video entitled 'How I saved $100,000 before 20" and saying, "But im 25 so how do I do that?" OBVIOUSLY someone elses earning and expenditures wont be the exact same as yours. But if you take the time to listen to what she is saying rather than focus on the numbers, you will see all her advice is sound, reasonable advice. And if you resent that she makes more than you, keep that negative shit to yourself. You should be wishing her well, since you are here, watching her video for FREE. Thank you MsSonya for the good advice. I especially like the part about MAC, lol. You are so right!
I saved about $45k within 1 year and I live in CA which I've never done before. It's not easy especially I didn't make much in the beginning. So I worked a second job and tried very hard to get raise. I rent a room instead of an apartment. My car is paid off. I try not to eat outside or go to Starbucks. And I use $10 makeup foundation which lasts 6 month (I don't put that much on). I barely go to the mall since I work and study so much. Somehow I spent $700 on my 2-year gym membership and it's a great investment! A few hundred on my mom, almost $700 on my real estate exam. I can't cut proactive but I try to use very little each time. I did spend almost 1k on jewelry, Gucci sunglasses, Michael Kors shoes and clothes. What can I say? Guilty. Now my goal is to make more.
You didn't mention anything about how much you earn or what you do for work, for some people 10k is a huge sum, for others it's only a fraction of what they earned, so for some people it's an amazing accomplishment while for others it's no big deal, and it's hard to be impressed by your results with out knowing the details.
Tomisha Gary honestly I didn't have a goal to save. It was more about being conservative with my money and it so happened that I got to save 13k. I know the video says 10; but I was just rounding the number down.
Panda 2007...you are so right if I could save 10K every 2 months i would be a millionaire. I am very cautious w my spending and still unable to do this. I need a higher profession 4 yrs to go before I become a NP. so by then I would be able to do this if not more love. I wish you the best

I know this video is a little older, but make your own detergent for laundry - very low cost and Fels Naptha soap has been around for 100 years - because it's good and works! I use it on my work clothes and I work in a power plant! easy way to save $$
thank you sweetie for showing me ways on how to save keep doing what your doing don't worry about the haters and bless your lil heart it didn't take a man to help you
You saved $10k in 2 months from what you said in your video? That made no sense.. I've worked in my job for 20 years that doesn't mean I've made $1 million dollars... Or does it? Could be wrong 🤔💰
+MsSonyaThap the thing that gets me confused is that I work at Walmart, which should pay everyone the same no matter what (to my knowledge) so if people make the same as I do in an area where rent of over $1,000 is cheap, then how do they manage?
This is true, I cut back eating out and notice I’m saving more money then before also for my savings I have it in a separate bank than my direct deposit cause if I can’t see it I won’t spend it.
To save that kind of money you need to making bank every month. Like if I made a $1000 in a month, the absolute most you can save is $1000 (by not spending it).
@@MsSonyaThap So, what you are saying is that you used to spend 5K a month just on eye-shadow and eating out? How is this a useful tip for most people? I think some ideas are good, like waiting before you impulsively purchase items. But your video is for rich people problems.
Awesome! Just knowing what a want and what's a need is winning most of the battle. For household stuff like detergent I just buy it at Dollar Tree and Aldi now. No coupons needed, and a month's worth of detergent for my family is a buck lol. Soap is soap. Just not buying into the packaging and the consumer mentality ("brand loyalty"?!!!) can save so much!
It's like all of a sudden, a lightbulb went off in my head and my partner and I use lots of apps to help budget for everything. We live off my income only but even though it's a lot on paper, it's still way less after taxes. I take on a lot of freelance work to help boost our savings. We had about $13k in credit card debt and we've been paying it off so much faster with these tips in mind. We will be debt free and have 6 months of living expenses saved by July.
i cant cause i dont even earn that much lmao but thanks for the tips. I never did most of the stuff you mentioned anyway except for eating out and buying shit i dont need xD
We make $4900 a month between 2 of us and have 4 kids. $10k would be nice in a year for us. 18 months til debt free and then putting it all towards savings.
by cutting out on the suggested, there is no way someone will save $10k in two months. what happened here is the lady was spending $5k a month, and stopped blowing her money on things she didn't need etc, and that's how SHE saved that amount of money. she makes good money and finally realized that her spending habits were pendeja.
I’m so glad u actually teach us rules on life to save your money and build credit lol all these other videos be like how anyone can make 10k in a week lmao wasting hella peoples time tryin tell em they can get rich fast😂😂
I don't know about the two month part. But I see what the moral of the story is. You cut down unecessary things and ate out less. That right there has eaten a chunk of my money. Thanks for the good advice.
To the people who seem to be discouraged, you don't just have to save money you earn. You can save the money from selling your unwanted possessions on eBay, sell your crafts on etsy or start a side hustle.
I sold a month supply of cum socks and made $30k , people will buy anything
hey dumb fuck, ppl don't have 8k worth of possessions floating around.

how much do you make first per month?
Is the image in the monitor cute Boo?
yes! boo the dog lol
So u saved 10k in 2 months by buying the cheap eyeshadow and not eating out.. riiight awesome.
Donelle Chasten that's exactly right!
@@MsSonyaThap So, what you are saying is that you used to spend 5K a month just on eye-shadow and eating out? How is this a useful tip for most people?
I think some ideas are good, like waiting before you impulsively purchase items. But your video is for rich people problems.
I make less than $9000 a yr on disability. It gets tough, but I get through. And I don't have to use the F bomb.
Just found your channel...and I ❤️ you, you're so funny! I'm hitting that subscribe button!
This is impossible unless you make 10000 a month.😐
It still requires a well paid job. But nice tipps.
you must have a good job, i only make 2000 a month. Is your job hiring, I have a degree?
Thanks for the hints.
Still waiting on how to do this hmmmmmm 🤔
Proof??? Show from the start to end?
In 2 months I make $2,800 ??
"I made all this money wheres it at whered it go" that used to be my liiiiiiiiiiiife
So laid-back and funny !
Thank you :)
+Adele N maybe i should do a video on how to save 1,000 a month? lol
MsSonyaThap hahah that would be good! thats been my goal these days
+MsSonyaThap yes!! bcuz not everyone is as rich as you girl!!!
+Verlinda Bluestone I'm not rich lol
We make $4900 a month between 2 of us and have 4 kids. $10k would be nice in a year for us. 18 months til debt free and then putting it all towards savings.
I love how the next video after this is "made $9 a hour but saved $15,000 in *6 months*"
Fuck saving 10k in 2 months teach me how to make 10k in 2 months first
Chief Lon Don investments
by cutting out on the suggested, there is no way someone will save $10k in two months.
what happened here is the lady was spending $5k a month, and stopped blowing her money on things she didn't need etc, and that's how SHE saved that amount of money. she makes good money and finally realized that her spending habits were pendeja.
lol... clearly that's the title of her video.
lol pendeja for sure.
I’m so glad u actually teach us rules on life to save your money and build credit lol all these other videos be like how anyone can make 10k in a week lmao wasting hella peoples time tryin tell em they can get rich fast😂😂
And my dad said if you buy silver for like 16$ then in about 15 years silver will be worth about 500$
it works i like the way she says about budgeting and i love the way her look she’s gorgeous to me i love her 😍😍
I don't know about the two month part. But I see what the moral of the story is. You cut down unecessary things and ate out less. That right there has eaten a chunk of my money. Thanks for the good advice.
