Tonight on Classic Canadian Monday 🇨🇦🎸, TRP got to chat with a name that is basically musical royalty in this country … and not just one of them, but two … Randy Bachman became an international star as the founder of the legendary Guess Who and later Bachman Turner Overdrive (BTO). He was the first artist in history to have a number-one song on the US Billboard charts with two different bands. His son Tal Bachman had his own #1 song in the summer of 1999 with “She’s So High”, one of Canada’s most recognizable hits … together they are releasing an album of songs for the very first time, and are the subject of an upcoming documentary telling the story of Randy’s prized stolen ‘Gretsch’ guitar that was returned to him after 46 years during Covid, a guitar he wrote all his classic hits with including “American Woman” …. The father/son act will perform together at The Rose in Brampton and begin a tour through Canada on March 24 …. Randy and Tal Bachman are tonight’s Classic Canadians 🇨🇦

Tal is hilarious. I love his style of humor. Randy is a lot of things to many people. It's great that he is just "Dad" to Tal.

Great interview! I was laughing through a lot of this. As a teen in the late 60s, I was fan of Guess Who and later with BTO.
