Another black male actor also came out and supported CK’s story along with another black man in the industry. Terry Crews named the man that sexually harassed him and he was still ridiculed. We need to stop and ask ourselves collectively why it is that we are more concerned about the alleged abuser than the victim. This is horrible, no one deserves to be sexually harassed or assaulted because they are trying to make a living.

As for speculation, that's going to be regardless as it is human nature, and I've seen and heard several others speculate on the woman in the case as well so to say no ine us talking about that isn't true. Someone even speculated on it while he was doing his live. Also, piece meal as the information may be sometimes just talking about a topic without naming names is the vent needed for self encouragement and the start of self healing while he waits for his lawyers to advise him of his legal route in his soon to be criminal suit. Everyone's journey to healing is different. There is no one right or wrong way to come to that sort of peace. To do things the way someone else wants can be detrimental to oneself. As a sexual assault survivor who was in therapy for over 20 years will only base my opinion on my experience. I am very supportive of any one male or female who has had this experience and each person handle their experiences differently. If you have NEVER had this experience you can not begin to imagine what this is like or how a person should handle their assault. You can't protect other people until you are able to protect yourself and healing is a long process and to say it out loud what you have experienced is only the beginning.There is no book that dictates how one will handle him or herself in this type of situation and should never be criticise. What has really got me was if one of the person is who I think it is, and were the voice for men who had been molested on the Oprah show years ago, and now he goes around and preach the gospel, laying hands on preachers and now he himself has become a pedophile because he has power over others will be the most demonic and hideous act ever !! Moving forward the discussion should be how sick people can become from this behavior without the necessary help they need and how supportive we should be towards victims in helping them get the help.

Like women, men can experience shame and fear. They can be scared about their personal safety or the safety of loved ones. So that can be a huge reason why they don't speak out or take their time doing so.
While I’m sympathetic to the victim and echo the sentiments of many others, that no one deserves to endure something like this, it frustrates me when people come out with stories like this, and don’t put a name to it. Like Al said, you are protecting them, and letting them do the same thing they did to you to many others by not calling them out. And if his legal team truly advised him not to say the name I’m sure they would also advise him not to say anything at this time until he was ready to move forward with a lawsuit. The skeptical side of me says he put this out as a warning to the guilty party to get them to reach out to him and offer some payoff hush money after we see what happened in the Cassie situation. As a former entertainer I can confirm that lawyers and police departments encourage victims to settle for financial compensation. My attorney dropped my case because I opted for prosecution. Next thing I know Ice Cube did Players Club and another low budget movie was done. Everyone capitalized from my trauma. They made me seem crazy too. I never got justice from our system, but I guess you can say karma served justice to each and I’m satisfied with that.

As for speculation, that's going to be regardless as it is human nature, and I've seen and heard several others speculate on the woman in the case as well so to say no ine us talking about that isn't true. Someone even speculated on it while he was doing his live. Also, piece meal as the information may be sometimes just talking about a topic without naming names is the vent needed for self encouragement and the start of self healing while he waits for his lawyers to advise him of his legal route in his soon to be criminal suit. Everyone's journey to healing is different. There is no one right or wrong way to come to that sort of peace. To do things the way someone else wants can be detrimental to oneself. Also, what's wrong with telling someone how brave they are? They may prove to be the boost needed to keep pushing on because bravery is needed in cases like this anyway.

As a sexual assault survivor who was in therapy for over 20 years will only base my opinion on my experience. I am very supportive of any one male or female who has had this experience and each person handle their experiences differently. If you have NEVER had this experience you can not begin to imagine what this is like or how a person should handle their assault. You can't protect other people until you are able to protect yourself and healing is a long process and to say it out loud what you have experienced is only the beginning.There is no book that dictates how one will handle him or herself in this type of situation and should never be criticise. What has really got me was if one of the person is who I think it is, and were the voice for men who had been molested on the Oprah show years ago, and now he goes around and preach the gospel, laying hands on preachers and now he himself has become a pedophile because he has power over others will be the most demonic and hideous act ever !! Moving forward the discussion should be how sick people can become from this behavior without the necessary help they need and how supportive we should be towards victims in helping them get the help.

Like women, men can experience shame and fear. They can be scared about their personal safety or the safety of loved ones. So that can be a huge reason why they don't speak out or take their time doing so.
While I’m sympathetic to the victim and echo the sentiments of many others, that no one deserves to endure something like this, it frustrates me when people come out with stories like this, and don’t put a name to it. Like Al said, you are protecting them, and letting them do the same thing they did to you to many others by not calling them out. And if his legal team truly advised him not to say the name I’m sure they would also advise him not to say anything at this time until he was ready to move forward with a lawsuit. The skeptical side of me says he put this out as a warning to the guilty party to get them to reach out to him and offer some payoff hush money after we see what happened in the Cassie situation. But for now I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt. As a former entertainer I can confirm that lawyers and police departments encourage victims to settle for financial compensation. My attorney dropped my case because I opted for prosecution. Next thing I know Ice Cube did Players Club and another low budget movie was done. Everyone capitalized from my trauma. They made me seem crazy too. I never got justice from our system, but I guess you can say karma served justice to each and I’m satisfied with that.

agreed. I think by not leaking the name, it does keep the person in power and not having to take accountability. At the same time, if this is a person of power, your life is also at risk by exposing him so I understand why victims come out with such vague info regarding the identity of their abuser.

My prayers go up for all the men and women in the industry who have encountered sexual harassment. I know it took great courage for Christian Keyes to share this. However, I am not sure of the purpose of him putting this accusation in a video keeping the accuser anonymous instead of going through the proper channels by filing a police report and suing the perpetrator(s) civilly. It is a whole culture that has to be addressed and I pray for wisdom and protection for him and his family.

If it’s TP it’s not just an individual, it’s an institution, it’s an industry. Look at the Cosby situation and it’s impact on The Cosby Show, A Different World, the black male image, etc. Tangent to this, we’ve got Will & Jada, and the impacts of their mess. None of this is good for us.
