What's after 8 figures? That's probably what she got. I appreciate funky's opinion.... Cassie will forever live with this trauma but at least she'll be living in luxury while sorting out her horrific experience.... I never thought of it that way.
I think for Cassie it’s definitely not solely about the money. It will make her and her family comfortable for sure, however she will always remember these horrific experiences she had to endure with this man and who knows what her mental state is like. Also to me it wasn’t all about the money but getting the information out there for the world to see and in turn have others come out with their experiences as well. Perhaps a slow demise is to follow. I think she got what she wanted.
I agree I was watching lovelyti's podcast on the issue and either her or her guest host said this was probably a way to protect her and her family if Diddy wanted to "take them out" this make it easy for her everyone to know who did it, not to mention with Diddy's power doing it criminal could have made it easy for him to get out of if it so Cassie being the first and getting paid off makes it easier for other victims that sue criminally to get their justice. But like Q said even if it was about the money i'm not mad at her. That is like chump change for him.

He had her "quiet" for 10 years. Then she was quiet still for 5 (i wonder if he had something to do with that like had an NDA or gag or something on her). So a total of 15 years already she stayed quiet. Now she wants to be free and speak, whether in interviews, books, etc. She chose to sue to draw him out. With that she had over 30 pages of things. That took a good while to gather that. She had high powered atty's. Not cheap (money for them. Hmm). And her statement saying what she was saying which included helping others so Cassie may have been geared up to really take Diddy on.
But then he shocked everyone by swooping in so quickly and ending it. So now Cassie's side is essentially shut down permanently.

The statue of limitation had to be reached on the criminal side of things. Thank goodness for the Adult Survivors Act which allow you to at least be paid for the pain after statue of limitations are reached. Diddy needs to be under the jail. And as much as I love me some Funky, most times I’m starting to see he sides with or straddles the fence with bi-sexual or gay men. Just as Claudia we expect to side with women. Not entirely true, it depends, each settlement case is different.. Its between 15% and or 20%.. This lawyer/firm, only filed paperwork and did not do depositions and other work related methods to demand a high fee.. I can't imagine them collecting $10 million dollars for just filing the paper work and doing several hours of office work.
I would agree that if this had gone via a deposition and through a lengthy trial, that the lawyers should receive at least $7 to $10 million dollars if the reward was $40 to $50 million.

Ten years of hell, pain and suffering is not worth $30Millon. A lot of people think trauma can just be healed in therapy. A therapist can help you deal with the trauma you've experienced but they cannot take away the memories of the trauma. A therapist can give you tools on how to process your trauma but she cannot take away the memories. A lot of people do not value their PEACE, they stupidly think money is worth the disturbing of their peace. You can live in comfort and riches but the broken heat, broken spirit and severe trauma will be with you always. It's just not worth it!!!
