Errrrr.... try Google Asians eating leaves, it's not just China and some integrated into their culture, I saw that in Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines and Vietnam. I've seen some of his videos now, and I'm not surprised many can't tell the difference, I'm just going to tell you, they aren't all from China. Also, this is not the only YT channel paid for these contents against China. I don't care nor picking a side, but US main media won't hesitate if these were true, except, if it isn't, there would be a huge monetary penalties with hundreds of court orders, so leaving small independent media do these, is actually common now.
I think this portend to a global economic crisis that is coming. Because the 'made in C' products are available in all the nations of the world and if C is in bad shape, the dominos effect will follow.
Turns out that encouraging everyone from rural areas to flock to cities and become knowledge workers and having an economy that revolves around a huge property bubble isn’t a great idea!
@@brettstarks1846 Na brah, the houses we buy are literally ours and not just "leased" for 70yrs from the Government. We also aren't that stupid to buy a house from a company that doesn't exist yet. Like, our "world" is pretty stable and we will fight (and are allowed to) to make it better.
Not just economically dumb but it has destroyed China's future demographics, there is no quicker way across all cultures to crush the birthrate than urbanization, turns out people in small urban apartments facing high urban prices do not want to have kids.
It's easy to overlook the struggles of individuals when discussing global economies. I agree that there's so much beneath the surface that the world needs to see.

I met some of these people in Thailand after COVID. There was a small group of Chinese who kept to themselves at our hostel. One day I overheard them in Chinese repeatedly talking about my country Mexico which got me to talk with them. They were quite happy to learn I could speak Chinese but more excited to learn I was from Mexico. They started asking me a bunch of questions about crossing the border into the US to which I bluntly told them I had no idea about and discouraged it. I asked where they got these crazy ideas from and they said that people were posting videos and tutorials of how to cross into the US online. The Chinese government hard handed approach to COVID was what made them leave. They wanted to go both for the freedom and economic benefits but they had a very naive and overly optimistic view of the US. They saw the high wages US workers were making but had no idea as to the incredibly high living costs associated with living there. I tried explaining that there was a housing shortage and that their expectations for life in the US would set them for disappointment but they either didn't believe me or brushed off my criticism. I also tried encouraging them to go to German or Australia instead (places which I feel would be better and easier for them to enter) but they seemed dead set on just going to the US. Unfortunately I don't know where they are now as Wechat is blindly and constantly blocking and deleting accounts in SE Asia without reason.........................
Word has gotten out that the current US administration isn't enforcing immigration law. That naturally increases the allure of coming to the US, particularly if there is a perception that this policy might change after the next election.
Totally agree! I live in Idaho where the cost of living is (currently) quite high, also paying for gas and food. It adds up to a good amount... That being said I still have freedom (although it seems it's less and less each year) to carry, to travel, go to church and so on...
We're already having enough issues with globalists and their deluded minions doing what they want. They're crushing the people here. We don't need more people from other nations right now.
I find it telling that they would parade those women to publicly shame them, yet I didn't see any of their customers getting the same treatment; probably because the police make up a large portion of their customer base.
Yes, that is disgusting. The public shame is in absolute reverse. As Winston said, they didn't pay their dues to the police. It should be the disgusting dictatorship that walks the march of infamy. It's a revolting and medieval treatment of women forced into this against their will to survive.
But yes I agree there should have been more men but maybe the men are smart enough to not do it. The amount of women are trying to do this. There must be way more women than there are men
While I’m sure prostitution has always been a major problem. The amount of YOUNG women who are so disenfranchised to have to resort to this, or sold into sex slavery. I pray those women find a way to sustain themselves
That little girl at the end, feeding grass to a gopher and happily smiling that her small gift was accepted by that tiny creature, gives me HOPE that humanity Ain't Dead Yet there. Who needs dolls that need batteries?!
This is a perfect example of why totalitarian states NEVER work in the long run. They might keep themselves going for a while but the bottom always inevitably falls out.
Remember Chairman Mao? Here's what he did: - He renounced ancient chinese culture, including Confucius and Buddhism, which value kindness and tolerance. - He eliminated all intellectuals, land owners, rich and famous people. - He also told the youth to condemn their parents and neighbors publicly, usually in front of a crowd. - What he had left were uneducated laborers, poor peasants and mean youths. Those are the ancestors of the current mainland chinese today.
Sounds like what is happening in the West right now - renouncing of ancient western culture, including Christianity and Catholicism, which value kindness and helpfulness - dumbing down of the education system (including YEARS of school shut downs, the end of failing students who don't make the mark, and removal of learning goal expectations as a whole), attacks on farmers and their ability to make best use of their land, and glorification of useless online 'influencers'. - people have been turned against one another (the banning of family gatherings for YEARS, the encouragement for people to rat each other out if they, say, *go to the park* - stay home save lives, right? They created a social divide, encouraging hate for anyone who didn't get a booster-juice in the arm.) know what is happening at home before you go condemning your neighbour for doing the same thing.
In Confucianism, you must kowtow to the Emperor and authority, and never question, criticize, oppose, challenge, insult or otherwise make them lose face.
It happened before. During the 90s when the inefficiently run state owned factories started closing down, it caused massive lay offs in the North-Eastern parts of China. Husbands ferry their wives to 'work' after dark then went to pick them up for home when the night's work finishes.
As an American, this is true. But most of the hate comes from politicians, not average citizens. Politicians hate the average American citizen, so imagine the hatred they must have for the homeless. They’ve found out 20 billion is all it would take to end homelessness in the US indefinitely, but instead the sent 3x that amount to fund foreign wars.
@@kcck7588 No way it only takes $20 billion. This is like that "it only costs $7 billion to end world hunger" statistic. Homelessness in the US is largely a mental illness and drug addiction problem, which is a super complex issue with no perfect solution. If it really was that easy, someone would fix it and enjoy the endless praise from the entire country that they would be showered with for fixing an issue as old as mankind.
@@Kyle-km8mvand then a whole economy around homelessness would be lost. people make a lot of money because of that crisis. furthermore when has usa solved a crisis rather than profit from it?
@@leroyferguson809 The ECONOMY OF HOMELESSNESS? You mean the people who eat up resources without producing anything, trash public property, and steal from businesses to survive, are somehow creating a thriving ecosystem of wealth around them? Well damn, sign me up. Imma sit on my ass and do nothing for the next 45 years, you can give me food, water, shelter, education, and basic supplies and rake in the millions. Thats what the soup kitchens are doing I guess? You have to be legit insane to think rich people see homelessness as anything except a problem. And even if rich people were somehow making money off homeless people through magic or something, that still wouldn't explain why no politician would fix homelessness for a measly $20 billion. They would be praised for generations, and their career would be secured for as long as they wanted to stay in office. If a president fixed homelessness, they would get a basically guaranteed 2nd term unless they made some horrific mistake that overshadowed that. Biden has made budget plans for well over $1 trillion, so why would he not tack on a small $20 billion addition to erase homelessness from the US, and earn respect from all sides of the political spectrum?

@@leonwong2498 Holy shit! He called it. In this very video, he mentioned you'd show up. The difference between America and China is this, we own it. We KNOW there is a homeless and drug problem. We know our economy isn't the best right now. But we understand this, and we'll make strides to get out of it. We're not so petty as to say "Well China's homless problem is worse!" or "Well, we have an only fans problem, but at least our women aren't becoming prostitutes like in China."
I lived and worked in China and Asia over ten years ago and business was booming. Look up and Shanghai was indeed impressive, look down and the streets were filthy, full of the poor and when it rained a black soot covered everything. At night, begging and prostitution made walking through the streets a nightmare. I was very happy when I transferred out of China and I am not surprised by this video.
I am Chinese and in China NOW. I live in an ordinary city in Henan, central China. I testify that the situation here is worsening, economically and politically, at a speed I've never experienced. Many people lost their jobs, though I cannot give you numbers, but I can clearly feel it. A large portion of local factories and companies, including the one I worked for, have been and still are cutting down employee benefits since the midst of the pandemic. And if you walk around it's definitely not difficult to find shops and even entire malls that used to be popular and crowded are now closed. Another aspect, that communist ideology and mentality seep into people‘s minds in an all-round way. The education system, press, television, social media, and short video platforms, there is almost no escape. Growing up in a relatively relaxed political environment under the administration of Hu and Wen, I used to be believing that China was on the right track to democracy and rule of law, just like Taiwan did, and I was being part of it. But now, proved to be dreams, not real. Since the pandemic, I have been tormented by depression. I find it difficult to see goodness, and easily to be trapped in desperation to find back the not-too-good but hopeful days. Noticing the rights and freedoms in aspects of life are taken away day by day, little by little, yet people around me, friends, families, and even my parents don't share the same thoughts, they only listen to you talking about it at best. My mother always tells me, whenever I mention these subjects, not to speak about them in public or in front of strangers or in the workplace. I see this place of no hope. Maybe I'm a coward and am weak, I’m getting tired of struggling.
Hey stranger, I'm from Brazil and i can't exactly offer much except sympathy and my shared faith that no matter how hopeless, when full chaos occurs there is always hope for being in the right place at the right time to find a way out of misery. It is hard to be alone, i understand that very well, most of my country people are illiterate. While i have learned not only portuguese but english and have been able to learn more about the world. I too have tried to find the truth no matter how bleak it was and have once thought that things would change for the better without going into full chaos. Most people still believe in climbing the economical ladder and that they will find some opportunity despite how reality hits all around them. What i mean to say is that i know that seeing the world the way it is makes you feel desperate because you end up facing the problems in a way that makes you rely only on yourself, and in turn makes talking with people meaningless or a chore. But there is hope for communion and a better day once it all falls apart if you manage to hold on long enough. Find enough of a will to push through the solitude. You are only alone for the moment, and although it has been years and it may still go on for a few more, it will not be your entire life. If you want to talk to me, feel free to do so. But don't give up now, please.
All governments have issues, including the U.S. But its been proven beyond doubt that humans flourish when civil liberties, and property rights are prioritized and respected. And corruption minimized. I'm cool with any form of government that follows those principals.
I lived in China in the early 1990s and the people I met over there were gold and amazing human beings. I went back to China all throughout the 2000s and the trend that I noticed is that when the economy kept booming, larger and larger the people became worse.and my point is the worship of money always leads to human destruction, especially at a spiritual level
That's what it seems like too. It seems like, yeah China does make a ton of money. But all that money is being funneled only to their Government and the rich elite that still live there.
Totally agree with you, the problem lies within the economic incentives. With the structural change to the system people started to live well but also lost their purpose
China got worse because of the Dictator government is corrupt and mistreats their citizens and shuts down their citizens from seeing the outside world and the outside world from seeing the truth about the Chinese government's corruption and mistreatment of it's citizens.
And for China especially, it's a "double whammy" of inheriting the communist style corruption and fucked up authoritarian government from the USSR but then also slapping USA style capitalism on top of that, but without any of the government safety regulations or all that democracy stuff. So the government is not accountable for anything and cannot be voted out and all problems are swept under the rug and ignored until they blow up and the whole thing crumbles. We already saw a small preview of that with the Covid BS that the CCP tried to pull by hiding the problem until it started to kill everyone not only in China but around the world.

this is the main issue. You guys don't even understand what true censorship means... How it is to be unable to say what you want to say out of fear to go to jail or that something might happen to your family. I'm German and I understand how the chinese must feel. Another problem is as a citizen of china, you aren't allowed to own land, but you can own the property residing on the land (for up to 70 years lease). Families pool their money together and buy in the USA. This has had a profound effect on the housing market in the USA. New construction properties in NY are being bought out before even breaking ground, tiny 2-bedroom condos selling for 1million+, etc.
Chinese don't own the land, but they own the property residing on the land, so if the government want to use the land, they need to pay for the properties of citizens on the land. moreover, the houseowner need to pay tax every year in US, if you can't afford the tax, and the government can take your house and make you become a homeless, but in China, if you own the house, you don't need to pay any tax each year, neither worry about the government take your house away.

I lived in China 2006 to 2007 and the "streets with special services" were widely known. There is no idea like humanity or Christianity. You care about your friends and your family, but everyone else is irrelevant. This is not the Chinese economy, it is the same as we see in all Western countries. An imbalance in what is available to the majority and the broad masses to live on. You could fill whole lists with the US cities etc. how they are run down with homeless people in tents, sleeping in cars, dilapidated infrastructure, apartments that nobody can afford anymore. Violent crime, drug zombies on the streets with fentanyl etc. and much more. And yet no savings are made on the armaments budget, etc. The available money is only used for other things. I live in Texas and saw a news story a couple of days ago of Chinese people at our southern border with Mexico. I was astonished not just to see them there but the sheer number! They were mixed with immigrants from Central and South America entering illegally. There is this one small entrance in the barbed wire that everyone knows about. When the reporter asked the Chinese immigrants how they knew about the very small place in the wire, info was shared on several cell phones of the exact location of this break in the wire. This info is shared while in China and people, not sure how, travel and make it to the Mexico and Texas border to this place in the wire. I had to just wonder how desperate these poor people had to be to make this type of journey to enter illegally. I've heard of the situation your video so eloquently shows here before, but never thought I would see them THIS desperate. This is a shame.

@@HermanWillems I'm sorry, I can't explain, but Chinese people who illegally immigrate to the United States definitely think it's more suitable for them, because many Chinese people believed that the United States was heaven a long time ago and now, so they are very eager. In addition, many Americans come to China to do this kind of illegal immigration business, which makes it an instant agreement, and the cost is also reasonable. Remember, it seems like around 200000 RMB. As a Chinese, I am also happy for them to go out. After all, people have the freedom to migrate. I hope your government can treat them well, and everyone will definitely bring savings. You know that Chinese people like to save money, and I know that some of them sell their houses in China.

- What he had left were uneducated laborers, poor peasants and mean youths. Those are the ancestors of the current mainland chinese today.

- dumbing down of the education system (including YEARS of school shut downs, the end of failing students who don't make the mark, and removal of learning goal expectations as a whole), attacks on farmers and their ability to make best use of their land, and glorification of useless online 'influencers'.
- people have been turned against one another (the banning of family gatherings for YEARS, the encouragement for people to rat each other out if they, say, *go to the park* - stay home save lives, right? They created a social divide, encouraging hate for anyone who didn't get a booster-juice in the arm.)

I live in Shanghai and i have the same experience and thought with you.

If the Chinese middle class was able to grow and flourish then China would have a more self sufficient economy with greater local consumption, so that even in this time when factories are moving to cheaper countries like in South East Asia the Chinese economy could be sustainable. Another problem is as a citizen of china, you aren't allowed to own land, but you can own the property residing on the land (for up to 70 years lease). New construction properties in NY are being bought out before even breaking ground, tiny 2-bedroom condos selling for 1million+, etc.
The same in Mexico.

Violent crime, drug zombies on the streets with fentanyl etc. and much more. And yet no savings are made on the armaments budget, etc. The available money is only used for other things. You could also call it embezzlement in office.
If people's livelihood issues in liberal democracies are like occasional bad breath, then China's nature is a bit like an anus, and there is no comparison between the anus and the mouth.
If the military is in the same condition as what's seen on this video, invading Tiawan is out of reality.
We appreciate your insights. You’ll always have our support.
Winston you framed this conversation perfectly. I greatly appreciate your work.
Can never teach that old dog new tricks
Thank you for this coverage. 🙏🏽
I am Chinese,The situations you mentioned did still exist a lot around 2015.After nearly 10 years of hard work and struggle, it is now almost rare.I am a college student from the poorest county in China,The government has helped me a lot. In the past, my family’s monthly income was only 4,000 RMB. Now, the entire family’s monthly income has reached 15,000 RMB. One of my wishes is to do my part to prevent this situation from happening again. From a poor developing country to the second largest country in the world today, these problems are inevitable. I hope you can also view China's development correctly.
I am glad if that is true , wish you the best from small Croatia.
I wish whatever you have told matches with reality - but what I just saw, does not support whatever you said! China grabs snatches other country's lands & areas by hook or crook but unable to keep its people good in all respect! I pity China & its rulers!
Found the CCP bot 😂
Hmm! Yum I just love government propaganda!
@@jasonsmith-mz9rfyou westerners just don’t want to admit that bright sides of china 😂
I don't think any countries economy is doing great at the moment and all by design.
I'm sure Ep ste in island is doing well under new ownership
Singapore would like to have a word with you
Don't worry, that man of peace will have the perfect answers to everything.
Chinese migrants are the fastest growing group at the Mexican border
Plenty of videos
If Russians and Chinese people do so much effort to move to USA. That speaks facts on how shit those countries are.
Yes, our economy is really going to collapse. You know, because I can't use electricity, I'm currently lighting a candle to reply to your message. I hope you can urge your government not to repatriate those people and not let their efforts go to waste. Those who work hard are brothers who deserve to enjoy America's paradise.
@@香山-v3x explain to everybody here why so many Chinese people flee to USA. And not the other way around. Can u explain to everybody?
They can promote consumption in the United States and bring employment. I wish them all good luck.
Many thanks for spreading facts on PRC. It is consistent with what I see for myself while on work assignments there. Can't believe some still think it is a fantastic place to visit. 😢
In terms of irritations and quality it's like night and day compared to Taiwan, the "China" that China _thinks_ itself to be.
@@doujinflip Taiwan is the real China.
as a Chinese, I admit that most of your points of view are correct, all Chinese must be aware that China is still a developing country, and there is a big gap between the developed region and the poor region in China. Chinese must be facing that and try to improve it, not hide this side and ignore the poor group who need help.
Thank you, I really want China to improve for those in need
