I got shot on Gimblin back in "93" took 3 bullets, they removed 2 and let the other bullet stay. I'm blessed to be able to write this. I was a crackhead at the time and did some stupid shit to a guy I shouldn't of! No Ill will towards him I was in the game and so was he. Live in L.A. now with 26+ years of sobriety. Thank you for taking me for a ride bro ! Brought back alot of memories.
You should write your memoirs. I, for one, would read it.
Spanish Lake, the new hood for real, been here 17 years, it's changed dramatically in that short time
I used to have WHITE family that lived there 30 something years ago, was Really nice, wow what a shit hole now!!!.. also had friends in Jennings, but they also said no thanks to another shit hole!!
@@stlstreets1318 nice to know they were WHITE.
@@GregoryMichaelCarter it is what it is
Im in baden facts
Spanish Lake used to be where people went to retire. It's been turned into a ghetto. Hoods running around there now.
I grew up near Ofallon Park and spent a lot of time there even delivered newspapers in the area. My aunt and uncle lived in Walnut Park was a good area in 1950s and 60s.
Ain't no more
White flight, redlining, federal housing policy destroyed walnut park.
'A few hoods" you made it look like at least half of St. Louis.
Because there were a few in IL too that were actually towns.
More than half of stl is the hood
And?
i mean
STL city itself...if you ignore the commercial and industrial areas...yeah...at least half is about right.
But a LOT of those 'hoods were actually small municipalities either outside STL proper or actually in IL.
pine lawn be having all police up and down the streets
John eckhardt books...first get faith Jesus Christ by hearing the word of God the holy bible always pray always pray ...prayers that rout demons ...u tube f free but if u can order all books off Amazon..be blessed and make the devil leave u and your city alone pray always
That's cuz Pine Lawn has a law where it's illegal to sag your pants! It's crazy!
Thanks for making this video
Great video man.
Im usually always on the west & I got lots of family on the Northside. Never use to be on the South. Cant fake it tho the Southside be live, now that I be over there
I was born in East St. Louis in 1957 and lived in Cahokia for a pretty good while (even in the early 1980s.I must have been the last white boy born in East St. Louis. My whole family was from there - not far from State Street (N. 82nd St.).
I remember reading about St Louis being listed as one of the top ten vacation spots, and top 20 beaches internationally. The music is very inspiring in this video
77rgranado aint no beach here bro
I'm hollin'... Dude said the beach bruh, we gotta a dirty ass river.. dats about it
Just put the whole north county on here 🤣
What tune is this?? Love it!

Looks real nice..might just have to pack up and head that way
Every town and city has their own bad neighborhood. Doesnt matter where you live!
I knew that a typical pessimistic comment such as your's would be inevitable. It's the typical nihilistic response - "that which is crooked cannot be made straight". So I guess doing nothing and letting the neighborhoods go to hell in a hand basket is the answer ? These areas are the breeding grounds for lots of social problems that will affect YOU in some capacity. In short, I'm not settling for the "oh well, that's the way it is" argument this morning. It's your damn neighborhood and city and your problem. You broke it - you fix it.
I live in a town of 400 people and dont even half cops. Just 2 gas stations and a subway. Ive lived there 8 years and fhe worst thing thats happened to my knowledge is a few people getting caught with meth or heroin.
No places like in the video where i live in Washington! Not even close
Not like that shit my guy...shit real in the entire city
William Smith why are you blaming black people for corporations relocating and leaving an absence of economic stability behind?
Y’all should do a tour of these suburban hoods in the OV, St.Ann, breckenridge and surrounding areas. Real shit be going down in areas people least expect it.

Makes me sick to my stomach to see all the homes in my old neighborhood boarded up. Used to walk to school, church and play outside at night, with never having to worry about problems.
Good thing is I live in Webster Groves, but I will be moving to Florissant pretty soon. I know that not all parts of the North St. Louis area are bad, but How bad is crime up there in Florissant?
Max Pepple be careful...
Don’t do stupid shit and you’ll be fine. You’ll find out real quick if you’re in a good area or not.
Damn “STL” looking different Margaretta still look the same but BADEN omg I remember when ALL lawns were neatly manicured.
We ride down riverview and admire all the homes.
However, haven’t been back since 2004 and to this day moved away in 86.
Still love you STL living there helped me to deal with DC, Maryland. You know the saying “ IF U CAN SURVIVE STL U CAN MAKE IT ANYWHERE” Yo believe me u go to places where ppl say it’s bad over there stay away lol you look and say shiiiid I’m down.
Being born and raised in St. Louis then move away trust me you don’t have ANY fear. Serious build block for you next home away from home.
Lol and SERIOUSLY ppl can see it in you and I love it. Love you STL yo fam be safe stay safe God bless🤜
Spot on bro...Lived off Church myself right off Broadway...in LA now Compton,Watts...etc no worries LOL.
Used to drive around some of these areas just to check it out. As a white dude with Texas license plates I felt like I was in a fish bowl 😂

a lot of this was Illinois. were proud of our city and History a pot of it has gone neglected by the government. and Drugs have destroyed a lot of familys and left so much to decay. But slowly but surely its coming back. Just wish all the senseless violence would cease, even though wishing won't help
Duded in stl be calling east STL illinois lmao
Your wrong I drive lyft and Uber all over St. Louis and the metro and 90% was north city north county
Most was at Louis
Some of these cities are in the state of Illinois. Cahokia, State Street etc...
Idk why
State Street s not on here ?
This should serve as a tourist guide for places to avoid at all costs.
2007 murder rate shit was crazy and im from the chi
Why y’all show Parker 😂😂😂
Confusing and kinda random video. Lived in St Louis county my whole life, I've never heard of half of these places, must be ESL. East St Louis has NEVER been considered part of St Louis. Is West Memphis (in Arkansas) concerned part of Memphis TN?
How do you got 314 in your name if you don’t know these places?
You need to take 314 out of your name then because you obviously don't live in this area...
@@ImmanuelTheGreat Or you're simply ignorant
@@314jph I'm simply ignorant but you never heard of half of the neighborhoods in the St. Louis area, that you live in. I think you're the one that's simply ignorant 😂

I knew people who remember when east st.louis used to be a good place to live...That was possible?
Z meister 2099 yep walnut park was a great neighborhood
I do!
They are probably in their 60s and up. A lot of people of all colors came to ESL looking for work and found it. East St Louis was very prosperous. Then many of the factories there shut down and it declined pretty quick.
It's crazy that St. Louis is the most dangerous city in the United States and ranked at 19th most dangerous city in the world, based on the website I read it off.
East St. Louis is NOT apart of St. Louis. Its in Illinois not Missouri...smdh......#kinlochbornandraised
it's still called st. Louis, East St.louis

I moved out of Berkeley 6 years ago ...as a matter of fact, this video showed the street I lived on and probably a tiny part of my old house if it wasn't blurry. Eaton Dr and Airport rd. It was a HORRIBLE neighborhood, full of violent, stupid people. When I bought my house in 1991 I paid $32,000. I sold it for $12,000 and was LUCKY because the going rate for these cute, sturdy little bungalows was $8,000. Poor neighborhood. I feel sorry for the few good people that are stuck there among the abusive shitheads.
Berkeley is dangerous asf
