I would imagine if you plugged your phone in via usb it would still recognize it? Never tried actually. On 2nd though maybe not since it’s not formatted right? So perhaps you could share the file to one drive or open up the Explorer app and download it from whatever cloud service you use to the xbox? (I guess still a bit more difficult than just plugging your phone in).
@@ThreeFirstNames yeah before on the Xbox 360 and Xbox one (for a short time) you could hook your phone up through usb straight into the Xbox and go into settings to choose a custom picture. It was so simple
I just spent an hour trying this. Started on edge on my Xbox and couldn’t figure out how to hide the tabs, went to a video, downloaded an app, it didn’t work so I deleted the app, now watched this video. Didn’t wanna download another app so I just went back to edge. Imagine how stupid I felt when I pressed the only button I didn’t press before which was the right pause button and it gave me an option to set it as a background.
If it’s an image from Google/Edge, you can pull it up on your Xbox and push the menu button and select “Set as Background” and it will set as your Xbox home screen
Can't use a capture from external usb hdd on the series X, it has no option to set as background, only if captures taken to internal hard drive will it allow captures set to desktop. This is a flaw and needs fixing Microsoft.
Bro…. I don’t want to have to use a stick …. How is there not a way for me to simply send my mobile phone pics to my Xbox so I can customize my background ?
You can’t do it with a phone. I tried sending pictures from my phone through the App and sending it to one of my other accounts but all it lets me do is look at the pictures
Yea this is def an option. :). Just depends. I hate using the browser on the Xbox. Just me maybe. I’d rather just find one I like and save it to a thumb drive and move it over.
guys just open up ya mobile phone Download a Image u want . upload the pic to the onedrive Cloud.. open the onedrive App on ya xbox and save it ... alot easier ..
I would save the file on your phone and then to whatever cloud storage space you have. You could then use the IE on xbox to go to your cloud storage and pull it in that way. Or, you could save the file to your phone, transfer it to your computer, then save to a usb drive and put that into the xbox. So you have a few options.
Honestly haven’t thought to delete one. Haha.. i would just change the picture to something else you wanted instead? Guess you could go back into the file/folder and delete it from he harddrive there.
A lil too angry for Christmas morning. 😎 perhaps put the controller down and spend some time with your family. All you have to do then is save your image to a cloud drive. Go to the cloud drive on your Xbox and save that image as your background :)
Just goto Microsoft edge, View wallpaper image, press start and set background
So much easier, cheers mate

I cannot find this app on my series x
That is sooo much easier thank u!!
This used to be so easy. You could just hook up your phone to the Xbox and select an image I don’t understand why they took that option away

i got a 4k tv on a series x and when i loaded a background oh my was it horrid try to match your picture to your tv resolution
Dude... you can do that since xbox one... i'm looking for to upload my own LIVE wallpaper. Not stuff that already can be done with the previous gen...

How about a phone
Do custom dynamic backgrounds like gifs work?
Bro someone answer this man's question
I don’t believe they do anymore.
Sadly it won’t do it for me it just keeps my original
hmm.. that's odd.

Quick question...how do I make the image fit properly? Every time I use a custom image, it looks zoomed in and you can't see the whole image? Thanks
find an image that’s the right size :)
find the right pixel length
So just same as xbox one
Can I remove my usb?
Usb for?
Gotta eject it first probably
And how to delete picture from xbox?

yeah im looking for the same now
@@ThreeFirstNames well thats no help
I don’t have a USB 😞
Save it to one drive or some other sort of online cloud service and go download it via the IE on you xbox then set it to your background. :)
How do you view just your background?
You mean at the Home Screen without the tabs?
How so I safely remove the usb drive? Also, if I remove the usb drive, would the background image vanish?
No o don’t believe it will. You can always transfer the picture to the Xbox first and then choose from the Xbox drive
Is there a video out there that can show me how to use a costume background image WITHOUT USING A FUCKING USB?!
