A 4-point line to me would mean players from current and future generations will have to adjust to a new skill set. Coaches and trainers at all levels will have to teach young guard players how to develop their "4-point" shooting skills. Camps and clinics might have to be dedicated to 4-point shooting development. New drills will have to be invented. Coaches will have to draw up new plays to accommodate the 4-point line i.e. more spacing of the floor for example. Maybe the length of the basketball court will have to be longer? Expect higher scoring games. So much impact by stretching out the arc for a higher point value. But maybe that's just me and it might not be a huge deal. Still an interesting concept though
I love the idea of making the court bigger if you add a four-point shot, but I think the court size would have a much more significant impact on the game. A four-point line would space the court out more, and I expect close-range field goals to improve because of the rebounding that would happen from the misses. Honestly, I just want the game to get closer to the net - but that's just me. Camps should work on long-distance shooting already. It has taken over the game, and I don't think that's going away. Luckily, basketball still boils down to "Can you put this ball through this hoop?" - which I love and means someone like Wilt Chamberlain could still destroy. Knowing where the ball will go when it hits the rim is a freak talent that seems to have been lost through time.
I don't like the idea of the 4 point line, conversely I would introduce a limitation for the points scored behind the 3 point line, I think we would have a benefit in spectacularity.
A 4-pt. line?!?! Krrrrrazy idea. Might be fun, though. "He scores and draws the foul and has a chancee for a 5-pt. play." I, for one, would like to see a "we're just trying it out" year.
The 3 points line was invented by a puerto rrican phisical education teacher. Was first adopted by FIB. The NBA, I think, was one of the last leagues to aopt it.
I want to see a four point line, the return of hard defense, and a three strikes rule in which a team is allowed two flagrant fouls per game, but not three. Dunks should also get a bonus, especially fancy ones e.g. a between the legs dunk means that you get another possession plus it's four points. Players should also be allowed to hold up teammates in the air, for extra high blocks. And you should be allowed to travel once per possession, and allowed to touch the ground with any part of your body while holding the ball, such as somersaulting along the ground
@@jonwhitley8724 You got it right, but before AI explode into a god freak ankle breaker, Tim did it in early 90's. But yeah that timeframe were really crossover staple into a household moves.
What??? Could you please further explain? I believe that the problem with adding a 4 point line is that you couldn't compare the players who played with a 4 point line to the players who didn't get the chance
Just push back the 3 point line or expand the court for side 3 pointers. Maybe we will see less 3 balls and some more actually driving to the basket. Also make traveling how it was back in the day where only 2 steps to the basket not walking backwards or side stepping bring back the fade away jumper
bro when i was playing nba 2k17 i dropped 125 points with lebron and the score was 179-210 (yes our team scored 210 points) yep new record to beat guys lol
Why not just have fractional points. A basket from zero distance (a dunk) is 2 points, from 3-point line is 3 points. Everything in between and beyond is multiplied by the relative distance. So a basket thrown from a mid-distance is 2.5 points and so on. Half-court would be about 4 points. With computers, points would be calculated instantly and a tied game would be a thing of the past.
Bro *violated* Ben Simmons outta knowhere😭☠️
Sorry not sorry
Hahaha
this channel should be at a millino subs. love the content. epic video. go kings.
Light the beam!
Bro has more subscribers than him guess its a race for now?

Nice video! 😊
Thanks bro!
That basketball was crazy and mind blowing. I want to see what this new basketball is.
What a nice video, it deserves more visits
Thanks bro!
Its crazy how much basketball has changed
yeah from 13 rules
Yeah there are so many fouls now.
Imagine playing basketball but not being allowed to dribble or move when you had the ball😂
For real
That’s just netball
alright mum has signed me up for netball now
@@lukatroy8265its called basketball because you shoot in the basket so that doesn’t make sense
DAYUM FR DUDE
Great video 🤝
Thanks bro! Glad you enjoyed it
Cool to see the original rules and footage, good job.
"Plumbers" but 3:06 look at how smooth that pass was.

sick!
W vid
Add a four point line nah ADD A 918282 POINT LINE
the ball though
Reallly interesting video I didn’t know back then that you couldn’t dribble and all people do know is dribble
Weird huh?!
They should have sideline attendants throw out hot spot pads for 6,8 and 10 points like in NBA Jam. Also once in awhile a ref lights the ball on fire.
That's freakin hilarious! NBA JAM TE is my favorite sports game. That would be fun. They should have made an NBA JAM movie lol.
A 4-pt. line?!?!
Krrrrrazy idea.
Might be fun, though.
"He scores and draws the foul and has a chancee for a 5-pt. play."
I, for one, would like to see a "we're just trying it out" year.
Imagine a and one one the 4 point line make it 5 point play… same with 5… we already have a 4 point play with a foul on the 3 point line…
A four point line!? That’s something I would love to see.
Yes,4point line!Please🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼!
Still love 🏀 no matter how many changes they make in the future
Wait so your saying that from the very beginning the player dosent have to dribble the ball? AHH OK
basketball is the best
Yes it is!

Kareem really had no comp in the nba for half of his career fr😂
Love it
I want a 4 point line
Me too
just one thing "the crossover" that level up the iso plays today
Yeah he missed the Kobe and AI timeframe that was important too
@@jonwhitley8724 You got it right, but before AI explode into a god freak ankle breaker, Tim did it in early 90's. But yeah that timeframe were really crossover staple into a household moves.
The problem about a 4 point line is that it makes a 5 point line less insane

Yes 👍
no 4 pt line please!!!!
why do I only know Tim Duncan from the laughing Ejection
yes!! finally I am one of the first people to comment
Lets go!

They should add a square or circle or triangle at the top of the three point line for the 4pts or 5pts
bro if theres a 4 pt line then damian lillard dominating.
If they do implement a four-point line; then they ought to make a throw-down basket worth only one point.
When thay addd the 4 point line the we have to shoot form out of bounds
Interesting.
It’s a good idea
4 point line should be like 5 feet from half court- like 40 feet
Damian Lillard would love that
WE WANT A 4 POINT LINE NOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ngl i would stop playing bball if they added the 4-point line
4 point line all day
Half court line might already be the 4th line
when i was in 3rd grade we had a speech thing and we had to pick a famos person and i picked james naismith.
anything behind the half court line should be the 5 points
love it
Thanks!!
Next time make sure to mention jimmy butler
Why does Mike Rappaport look like a smaller George Mikan.
No mention of Pistol Pete ??????????????
Add a 4 point line
Yo when is my basketball coming, this is like slower than Fedex I was subscribed a long time ago.
I love basketball ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Wait. Did he say Steph Curry is the best shooter of all time?
the 4 point line shoud just be a half court
You forgot a player. The Joker
No mention of expansions or no help defense?
My pops played Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in college. My pops used the hook trick. Maybe Kareem copied my pops.
There should be a four point line
bro when i was playing nba 2k17 i dropped 125 points with lebron and the score was 179-210 (yes our team scored 210 points) yep new record to beat guys lol
Share mo lng?
I've played and watched basketball all my life but if they add a 4 pt line I'm out
Yes the dream team
They're iconic
They didn't throw up three-pointers like that in the old days because the lne didn't exist in the NBA until 1979.
a four piont line is going to be trash next they might make a five piont line like no just keep it a three point.
bro fr
Curry
"hears ohio"
comes straight to the comments
boy lost me talking about curry where ra allen
Just think they must have made a device to control the game other then the refs.
No to 4 point line.
NBA!🏀🐄🇺🇸
what about larry bird
bro don’t add a four point line that would suck for kids like me

They can’t add a 4pt line
Hey man, a channel named Cool Basquet is stealing your videos, you should do something (he basically translate everything you do to Spanish)
Want 3 point line ❤🏀🏀
Ya 4 point

Bro giannis isn't new player , he was drafted in 2013
