SONY A7CII + LEICA Q3 | Street Photography In Monterey Ep.1

Hello Epic People!
Documenting my street photography using Sony A7CII and Leica Q3.
I woke up early in the morning to go out and try to take some photos with my Lecia Q3 while taking some videos using my Sony A7CII with Sony 16-35mm GM II. I didn't want to spend too much time separately from my daughter and my wife, so I had a very limited time to shoot.
I am still getting used to the 28mm on Leica Q3 and also shooting street photography. Most of the photos went through very minimal post-processing. For video, everything was shot with the 16-35mm GM II lens on my A7CII with Peter McKinnon 2-5 Stop VND filter + 1/8 Black Promist Filter. While shooting SLOG3 I only used base iso which are iso 800 and 3200. For the microphone, I used the Sony ECM-M1 in auto mode. Also, a little bit of POV using GoPro 10.
I will be making Ep. 2 of this trip very soon.

I'm still having a hard time getting used to the 28mm while shooting vertically. Is anyone else feeling the same?

yes it's strange but you crop in if you have mp

@@strippedlist I am not a big fan of cropping but seems like a lot of Q users are utilizing the high mp~ So I starting cropping more often when I am using the Q.

the idea is that i wouldn't worry about not framing well all the time. What i like about a7c II is the framing guidelines (video and photo), you can make cool images like x-pan having those@@MichaelYoungKim

@@MichaelYoungKim i am no pro photographer, i'm a hobby videographer, but I really like your shots. large focal-lengths are easier to master somehow, because it always looks good just having a closeup of something with nice blurry background lol. i just got myself a Sony FE 24mm f2.8 G that i am now experimenting with. and while i used to think these short focal lengths were a bit boring, i am starting to really like them! and i really enjoy your photos, great work, beautiful colors too

@Bcutter I agree. Wider focal lengths seem harder because there are so many unnecessary things in the frame. Im still trying to get used to the 16-35 and 28mm🙃

@@MichaelYoungKim it’s cool that you have the A7Cii, I have it too, just got it a couple of months ago. It’s quite new though, so I assume you recently got it too? How do you like it so far?

@Bcutter i have been sony user for a while now. I actually sold my a74 and got the a7cii for its size. I like it so far but not having a joystick little annoying tbh. Other than that and not having second sd card slot, everything is great.
