I'm budgeting for my son's wedding. Everyone always thinks of the bride but never the groom. So I created my own Groom's Binder. The groom's family is responsible for things too. So my categories are: rehearsal dinner, wedding gift for bride, wedding gift for groom, wedding gift for both, honeymoon and ring. Now this is the kicker... my son just started dating a lovely girl. But, I want to be prepared for when it happens. And I want to be a blessing to both of them.

I LOVE your videos. I found another cash stuffer that has made envelopes and savings challenges that look identical to yours and got so frustrated for you! Something that I budget for is Tolls. My husband commutes for work, and instead of EZ-Pass we use cash.

Through my cash stuffing journey i have finally reached the point where i can do 'Year Ahead Sinking Funds'. It is the best feeling to start each year fully funded for things like Christmas, Subscriptions, Vehicle Registrations, and so on, and then throughout the year i am stuffing the next year! I have one binder set up for 'Year Ahead' and would love a dashboard for that, hint hint, lol!!

I do have the basics for envelopes and do cash stuff for bills as well; rent, car insurance, etc. I recently found out I was pregnant ❤ so I got your baby bundle in savings challenges so working on that!
The only other thing I cash stuff for is Western Navajo Nation Fair up in AZ. So many great indigenous vendors and they’re all small business so my family and I love goin up there to enjoy our culture, the fair and food! As well as to give back to our community ❤ 😊

Hey Emily great video...the chain is called paperclip chain. I make jewelry as a hobby and use this to dangle charms for bracelets and necklaces. It's become one of the most popular chains lately in both fancy and costume jewelry lately. Some of my categories are Hanuka, WOW ( World of Warcraft game which me and my sons play together.), tech, home decor, Car Registration, Mom's hair, and some basic. I don't do bills because most come straight out of the bank in auto payments.

you could make a category of envelopes for disabled people! they are always the ones who have to spend lots of money for their own needs (it ranges from physical to mental disablities)... like for example, a deaf person has to spend a lot for their hearing aids and annual visits to the doctor... a depressed person has to spend for their therapist's sessions,, a blind person has to spend for their walking canes; sometimes the disabled person has to spend for a wheelchair; or if they're part of the neurodivergent spectrum they spend a lot for things catering to their needs

I'm working to pay off debt while saving for things in the future. Two new sinking funds envelopes I just made are: arts subscriptions and just general subscriptions.
A friend and I get theater season tickets every year and I just ordered season tickets for classical music too. Both are very important to me and I'd love to save up the full amount by May of next year and just keep that cycle going. Subscriptions is a sinking fund for things like a CSA or if I want to get a 10 pack of classes at the gym or something. Things that come up a couple times a year but not every month.

Murphy. All the things that Murphy can do to me. Like plumbing, and appliances, a/c (I live in Satans belly button). Life events like kids turning 16, graduating from high school, prom. I take care of my mom, who has a brain injury, so I’m constantly seeing about specific renovations like handicap bars, extra safety features, appreciation gifts for the assistant that stays with her so I can work, long term care, fun activities that she is capable of doing. Nothing prepares you for your parents aging but absolutely nothing prepares you for an accident taking away so much of who they are. I’m not married either so it’s just me.

we keep bills, gas, and grocery money in the bank. Try to cash stuff everything else. We homeschool and have a lot of kids so there are many expenses. Sports, music lessons, books and classes, graduation, each kid has an envelope. Care packages for college students. Clothes, hair cuts, vacation, family fun, date night, birthdays, anniversary, holidays, home repair, home renovations, car care, emergency fund, IRA, yearly memberships and subscriptions, meat stock up, plus other activities the kids do. My husband and I like to go to a Wild game each year so we are saving for that plus jerseys for each of us. Im also starting to save for weddings because we have 5 girls. Its a lot and they dont all get stuffed. It helps me to see how many things we really need to pay for and how careful I need to be. Never thought of half these things before I started cash stuffing.

Hmmmm.... other than my miscellaneous spending habits (I don't know how many other people have a knitting/crochet habit in need of a 'yarn' envelope like me, but I most definitely do! And a book one. And a stationary one...), but for actual savings, I have one for an apartment downpayment, so that when I move out of my parents' house, I'll be able to make a rental downpayment. I also have one for trips, and one for tithing. Don't know how much it will help, since I'm in the weird (and admittedly EXTREMELY enviable position) of being a grad student without student loans, but maybe!

Hi Emily! How are you? The town I live in had the fireworks last Saturday of June. I’m trying so hard to cash stuff but it’s either my sister or my niece needs help to pay their bills. I thought it was a good idea that we all live together to save money, idk 🤷‍♀️ anymore. Have a great day and God bless❤️
