- Joe was born with cardiomyopathy. At 19 his condition deteriorated and he was placed on an experimental trial with open heart surgical placement of an LVAD (left ventricular assist device). Now, years later Joe’s heart remains strong. Hear his story

My husband was just diagnosed this week with congestive heart failure , I am scared to death and so is he, he is only 41 years old and there seems to be nothing positive no hope , i feel so helpless on how to help him keep his spirits up and not get down and depressed, i love my husband very much and don't want to lose him , we've only been married a little over 9 years, and we hadn't been married a year till he had a valve replacement surgery , he like the guy in the video was born with mitro valve prolapse and he had been doing good till recently and now they tell him this, we are both scared to death and devastated.if you are reading this and don't mind , please send up a prayer for my husband , his name is Danny...thank you and God bless.

I am praying for you right this moment 🙏listen....Danny cut out all sugar and carbohydrates drink 3 litres of water daily start a gentle keto diet..do deep breathing diaphragmatic exercises daily and remember this..we all come from God we all go back to God. ❤
Other than most of the people in the comments I have congestive heart failure also. Multiple valves replaced in 2018 with an anyerism and I'm still here in 2021. My advice to you is to get the best and cardiologist you can get. Then do cardiac rehab to establish an exercise program. I'm a trainer so I do my own. Last is to cut out ALL processed and fast food. Vitamins are supplements only. You need him to get most of the nutrients from food. Last cut stress. No news media. It does get better but he has to fight.

I guess you live in the US? Is there not hospitals that help people with money problems. I feel for you as I am overwhelmed with health issues too including heart failure (Cardiomyopathy). I live in London England, so we have the NHS which provides high quality care for everyone no matter your situation rich or poor.

Prayers for my dad.. I’m trying to learn about ways to help get him better and make him stronger.. I know god is with us and it will be alright.
I have chf. I was at 15% and now am up to 35. It's still on the low side but I am able to do stuff I used to like work out and not get out of breath or dizzy. I am on like 7 meds ND they seem to be working. I know it's a delicate balance but work our heart to get stronger. With my meds and staying active I am getting slowly better. No I won't be out playing pro sports or anything but I'm not also fighting to stay alive. To my fellow humans with chf, cheers to you all and God bless! I'm located in Erie Pennsylvania

In South Africa its hopeless, there is no such thing as heart transplants etc unless you have a million rand to get one. The state/public hospitals is so unhelpfull and useless and always long waiting for everything... its a real strugle if you dont have a medical fund etc... so luckily now i only have Jesus as my healer and doctor and i do pray everyday for him to heal my heart failure. God bless all and will pray for everyone that's sick and need healing. ❤

Blessings and prayers to him. Had open heart surgery at 28. The recovery was atrocious. I didn't think it was possible to be in this much pain and to bear it. The plexus bones which are cut open reconsolidating is EXTREMELY painful. On top of everything, you get used to painkillers which are morphine derivates and are given morphine in IV at the hospital so you have to deal with withdrawal too.
I was fine until about 4 months post op, long after physical therapy. At that stage I must have spent a month or two on my couch barely moving. Taking a breath was painful
I was wearing a high rise corset and it helped. Back in intensive care post op they have me an oral pain killer I didn't tolerate so vomitted it. You don't want to vomit when your chest bones are recovering from being freshly sawed. Trust me. Full recovery is about a year. Anyway, not complaining but sharing it because it's my testimony. It's through the suffering God revelaed Himself to me, I repented of my sins and I was saved (born again in Christ). Pray you all are

So young 😢 but on the flip side, being younger means higher survival rate, she just needs to take her medicine, eat healthful food and be active (and natural supplements such as L carnitine, ribose, magnesium, coenzime Q10 can help too)

I am 39 and 2 years ago I suffered from CHF and my ejection fraction was 25% and for the time being it is 50%. I didn’t even miss any of my drugs for a day but negative point is that I cannot lose weight. May Allah give all of us a rapid recovery

Recently, I have been having extreme difficulty breathing, and being totally drained of energy after minimal exertion. I was diagnosed with congestive heart failure mid 2017, when my heart shut down most of my internal organs. I haven’t felt normal since, but in the last month it’s gotten much worse. I feel like I’m suffocating every time I lay down, no matter how I prop myself up in bed. My body is swelling and the Furosemide I take for fluid retention is no longer effective at flushing it from my body.
A few of the things you had brought up i had myself over the course of my journey. The average person provided that they are healthy usually never has to experience the struggle to maintain good health the and struggle to stay that way on top. Are you in the US? and has the doctor but you on anything stronger than the water pill you are currently taking?

I had an Lvad as well and I had cardiomyopathy . They believed it came from a virus 🦠 I remember getting sick real bad back to back and I couldn’t shake it. 2014 Lvad 2016 Heart Transplant.

Just smoked cannabis before 4 months but due to lack of knowledge on how to inhale the cannabis the smoke stored in lungs and later goes through my heart after that it leaked in diaphagram causing heavy pain in abdomen high blood pressure,I'm not even diagnosed yet.But that day my heart has failed due to that smoke that I inhaled was very large.I won't survive many days i should go to hospital but I know I won't survive more days...Life is an unexpected journey and life will goes on without your presence

I have Congestive Heart Failure that started after I took the Covid vaccine. I need help on what to do to prolong my life. I still have shortness of breath. My EF started as 20%, now is 40-45%. My ef is 20%in 2016 and not improving, I start entresto in 2017 in 2019 it’s between 35 to 40ef.
