  • In this video, we are going to do exercises that is guaranteed to help you enhance your life if you have congestive heart failure.
Before we do any of the exercises, walk from your front door to your bathroom and raid, hell, tired, and short of breath, you are from 0 to 10. We will compare that at the end of this video.
Congestive heart failure affects millions of people around the world and makes it hard for the heart to pump blood and oxygen to the body. But that doesn’t mean we have to give up on exercise and therapy. In fact, exercise can help us improve our heart function, reduce our symptoms, and enhance our quality of life. In this video, I’m going to show you some of the best exercises for congestive heart failure that you can do at home without any equipment. These exercises are safe, effective, and fun. And they will also help you lose weight, lower your blood pressure, and boost your mood.
First, we need to warm up and stretch. Let’s do a deep breathing. In through your nose to inhale and exhale slowly with lips slightly pursed. Let’s do that five times. Next is, bring our arms straight up and keep it there while opening and closing your hands. Now let’s try to reach down towards your ankles or toes and bounce or pump 10 times. I like doing dynamic stretches because this way we will not lose strength from our muscles. And last warm-up is ankle pumping or ankle rocking this will improve the reabsorption of fluids from your legs.
Now let’s do more aerobic exercises.
First exercise is shoulder circles. Draw big circles with your arms 10 times.
Second exercise is overhead clapping 10 times.
Third exercise is tummy twists. Bring your arms out and to the front with your hands clasped together. Bring your arms side to side while twisting your entire upper body.
If you need to rest, you can stop but keep doing your ankle pumps to keep your nlood circulating.
Fourth exercise is front punching. Close your fists and punch forward, alternating your left and right arm 10x.
Fifth exercise is marching in place. Pick up your knee as high as it can get 10 times.
Sixth exercise is airbike. Keep you legs up and pretend to oedal a bike for 10 seconds.
And last exercise is front kicking. Do 10 front kicks one leg at the time.
Try to repeat these exercises 3 sets.
Now let’s cool off. Catch your breath by doing a deep breathing again. Shake your arms 10 times and then do front claps 10 times. Reach up for 10 seconds and down 10 seconds with pulses.
Do your deep breathing again before walking from your front door to the bathroom. Compare the amount of fatigue or weakness that you have before and after you did your exercises. Rate the amount of energy and how much easier it is now walking.

I love this! I've been upset - nobody (doctors) told me I could exercise or anything. They are just giving me tons of meds! This is hope for me !

Today was too wet and windy to walk in the park, so I found this exercise routine to do instead. I will add this to my daily routine now.

I have heart failure with a moderately reduced ejection fraction. I tried doing these and could do all (standing) except for the ones where you reach down because it triggered dizziness. Dizziness is one of my symptoms, most likely from medications since most heart meds cause it. It is common in hf patients so the downward motions should be eliminated. Otherwise, a great little workout! Thank you for thinking of us hf patients!

My suggestion is when breathing out instead of lije blowing out a candle which is a little forceful to do it like you are cooling of a spoon of hot soup where you don’t want the soup to go off the spoon. Long and steady.

As @kasiako4287 pointed out, bending over/down is a bad idea for heart patients. It triggers dizziness, arrhythmias, sometimes fainting, and palpitations, and leads to falling if done from a standing position. Otherwise, this is a good level for heart failure rehabbers. i'll take it on.
