You do realize I hope that DInklage NEVER played a Fantasy Dwarf? The closest he came was that giant in one of the MArvel movies, other than that he only ever played a normal person affected by Dwarfism.
For one, there ARE other actors like him, for another, we have seen what fantasy Dwarves look like when played by real life Dwarves in Narnia. And like so many other things, that cannot hold a candle to what Peter Jackson showed us in Lord of the Rings.

The Mirror thought the Queen was asking who's the most mediocre & bland in all the land. And it said Zegler was, which is true. The housework scene doesn't make any sense...in the original classic, snow cleaned the cottage with the animals shortly after finding it, and then took to the beds after due to being so tired. When the dwarves returned from working in the mines, they found their house appeared to be broken into, and it was also _clean_ . It was while they were investigating that they found Snow in the beds upstairs.
So why are the _dwarves cleaning WITH Snow??_ . Did she just break in, decide to nap for no good reason and then the dwarves come home without a clue that anything is different, only to find an intruder taking up residence?
Can you imagine Rachel Zegler being forced to *clean*? They should just release 2 hours of Rachel being told to sing louder as she cleans the same mess. Hahaha

There are several ways to set up the scenario in the clip, but pretty much all of them are nonsense in comparison to the original.
In the new Snow Not Too Bright, the dwarves are cleaning not with Snow. She is ordering them around like the boss girl she is, while stands around doing NOTHING but barking orders
In the original, it's not necessary for Snow White to clean up when she arrives at the dwarfs' house, because they have a very clean home.

The actors' contracts, union and vendor agreements and distributor shares would mean it is more costly to not release the movie. This isn't a situation like the cancelled Batgirl movie, where even though the movie was already in the can, they shelved it instead of releasing it.
You decide (as Disney) - would you release this movie, sinking a bit more into marketing and distribution costs, or would you be forced to entertain Rachel's 1-2 movie contract, and make her the star of another brand new movie you're forced to cast and market her in (and that movie would certainly bomb), plus open up yourself to multiple lawsuits from various other groups (e.g. also merchandising from toy and eatery chains)?
Pour the money in it is my answer because these morons deserve it.

You know, why can’t they cast Lilly Aspel, who played Young Diana, as Snow White.
I can suspend my disbelief that the charming and graceful Gal Gadot is playing a wicked queen, but making me believe that a spoiled brat can portray a princess is a bridge too far.
This movie is so on the nose real. The inmates are running the asylum and the real world has flipped on its head. This movie represents that so well. The evil queen is really going to be the hero, she is going to be the more beautiful and kind one, she is going to come across as far more likeable and reasonable. Ghostbusters 2016 being political is not why it failed. It failed because it was bad. Maybe it was bad because of bad casting and hired production crew which in turn led to political activism, in that way it has something else in common with Disney and why Disney is failing.
The sony hack revealed that paul feig was.making an intentionally political and sexist film from the beginning. Ghostbusters fans were aware that it was written to be insulting *to them* from the start. In this case, ghostbusters *did* faul because it was political. It was also bad, but many opted out of the theater experience when they heard what was to be the story.

Note how wildly out of proportion they are to real life and even how they were portrayed in the original. They can still play the magical creature aspect because they clearly don't look human.
It's not 'his logic'. He's trying to reconcile two incompatible 'true-isms' that exist regardless of what he believes himself. First, Hollywood has room for only one token 'short emperor', and he took that crown from Warwick Davis. Second, Dwarfism can't be 'owned' when it's existence is defined by entertainment value. Of course, every Dwarf artist pretends that their work is entertaining because of the juxtaposition(like self-educated rich playboy Tyrion Lannister) with Dwarfism, rather than directly because of it, but see exploitation when others do it. Dinklage knows that Tyrion's penchant for getting out of trouble by demanding trial-by-combat creates tension and humour; entertainment value coming entirely from him being a Dwarf that could never prevail unless he gets someone else to fight for him. This pattern is self-reinforcing, because the image of certain Dwarf entertainers as 'low-brow' means they command less money for their services, leading to them being cast as 'low-brow', leading to actual exploitation.
If Hollywood stopped tokenising(current trends have just made tokenism more overt and extreme), there wouldn't be an imaginary 'Top Dwarf' position to fight over, and Dwarf actors would be able to apply for work other than comedies of the type that Dinklage did before GoT. Ironically, Elf wouldn't get made now because there's too many Dwarf actors playing Santa's Elfs in it and Dinklage wouldn't have been considered for the non-Elf role of the human Dwarf, because it wouldn't have been written in.

Hard working, strong... Disney's Dwarves were laudable fellows. Who would be best suited to play such mythical creatures? I'd be proud if I were picked. With this sort of stuff, those politics you mention, are just folk who are overly introspective. We are dealt a hand in life, folk should play it, and not whine. Where is the decorum? Where is the fortitude? There will have been plenty of actors who would have loved to take on these roles, with pride. I can't take on a role of a gorgeous princess, or impressive warrior. I could not have taken on the role of Fezzik in the Princess Bride, which Andre the Giant handled with such aplomb (he was amazing, and stole the show). I don't recall Andre ever complaining, let alone about being 'type cast'. 😂

I thought the complaints were exaggerated until I saw the part where she makes the dwarves clean. The original scene was about responsibility and fairness. They gave her a home, and she paid her rent via maid service. A simple lesson about adulthood. The new one is about putting men in their place.

Sonne, still the best adaptation of the Snow White story 😂 And the band used the pre-existing Snow White stages in Germany to get the members to be dwarfed by proto-Rachel Zegler, as you called her. Between Zegler's divisive public statements and Peter Dinklage's torpedoing of careers for people with dwarfism, I hope the final theatre cut of the film ends after the first time Gal Gadot asks the mirror who's the fairest of them all.

People with dwarfism shouldn't play fantasy dwarves, because they move and often look awkward. Imagine Martin Klebba, Warwick Davis or Peter Dinklage playing Gimli! See, what I mean? The 1966 Nibelungen film (an adaptation of the German epic poem) tried this and the fight scene between Siegfried and Alberich was only saved by the story, the latter turned invisible after hobbling about and clumsily swinging a sword as large as him.

Upon first glance, I thought the title of this video was "the escalating PRE-disaster." This is a slightly odd turn of phrase now that I think about it, but as the term "pre-disaster" implies that the forthcoming disaster was both predictable and, to a certain extent, inevitable, given what lead up to it in the "pre-disaster" phase, my brain did not in any way register the initial inaccurate reading of the title as incorrect or illogical. If there ever was a "pre-disaster" before the actual disaster of a film release, it must surely be "Snow White & the Seven Dwarves in the Uncanny Valley." Everything disney has done in relation to this film--after they cast the least likeable actress in Hollywood to star--has been a disaster (or "pre-disaster) that will contribute to making the actual, main event disaster of the film's release even more epically disastrous. Apparently, Disney cannot learn. Putting such an unlikable, activist actress in the lead of this remake alienates the audience. In addition, allowing Gal Gadot to be insulted and mistreated, as well as asking the audience to believe that Zegler's Snow White would be the object of jealousy of Gadot's character, will simply make this movie more unpopular. I love watching Zegler destroying her career, as well as Disney studios making cinematic flops. For both, "Woke equals broke."
Rachel to me is a absolute unperson. Thoroughly unlikable.
