Will is dancing in a deserted Broadway stage/auditorium place in episode 2x22 "New York", and actually Matthew Morrison (the actor who plays him) is singing one of his own original songs in the scene. ;) It's Will performing a Matthew Morrison song. The cinematography is beautiful there, with will being silhouetted and in shadow, I agree.
