*What's your favorite new feature?*
Nice job explaining the improvements, Mike. I especially like the improved locking on the banjo and tool rest.
Thanks. The locking handles are awesome :)
Riser blocks are an awesome feature. I am in the market to upgrade my lathe and at 6’5” with a 36” inseam lathe height is important to me.
Thanks for the comment. The riser blocks really are a nice feature.
The little storage in the tailstock is lovely! Every lathe should have it! 😍😍
These things were _MONSTERS_ about 40 - 50 years ago! They had split pulley variable speed with the start/stop function on the speed adjustment dial.. Huge they were back in my Junior High and High School Days!
OMG, I do want this lathe!!!!
It really is an incredible lathe :)
Give the video a like and be sure to subscribe to our channel if you love Woodturning!!
Nice lathe... !!! All I need now is a second mortgage..
:-)))
You think that bad, take a look at the Robust..
Right on. $4,500 bucks yikes
I'm challenged for space- the 2020 might be my best option. This looks like a real workhorse and well thought out.
I really wish Oneway offered a 1620 version to complement their 1640- they have a 2020 if I'm not mistaken. Even a Oneway 1420 would be great.... you guys are a dealer- get to talking to those people.
That would be my dream lathe- this or the shortbed version, I'd be more than well served I suppose. Nice video.... but please talk to Oneway while I'm saving up!
The paint has not been durable on my 3520a or other PM machines. For the money they cost they should be powder coated!
Or Epoxy paint.
I've noticed the same thing. Great lathe but it starts looking tired with the chipped paint.
Olá !
Bom dia.
Obrigado
I'll have to win the Texas Lotto to be able to buy this for just only $6,000 plus. Very nice lathe.
This may not be the best lathe out there, but for the price it is a precision lathe. Most of the lower cost lathes under this one has "slop" in the tail stock. I know from experience. I've been very happy with the 42/24 model, but now I need a tiny lathe (Ha), so my next one will be the 35/20.
how do you know about the screws?
No one teaches how to make resin chess pieces on the lathe.
hi mike I am trying to find out if the 3520C Quill and Led screw will fit the 3520A mine has broken and they no longer make it for the 3520A
Yes, it should work. Give us a call if you need to order one - 1-800-551-8876
I want one!...
Please make some resin chess pieces. I want to learn
Type in RUclips "casting resin chess pieces" and you will see a bunch of this tutorials.
It's BIG
It's HEAVY
It's yellow.
Available in the UK, even if it's a Jet?
We're not sure if the 3520C is available in the UK, but here is a good starting point. www.axminster.co.uk/machinery/lathes/woodturning-lathes
Haha, yes, I'm very familiar with their selection. Unfortunately they no longer stock either Powermatic or Jet 3520, so I'm guessing the C is soon to follow in their absence.
How much ?
what type of bearings are used in the headstock ?
Sealed ball bearings
Well done
Thank you!
It’s fukin EXPENSIVE!
At this price point, I’d expect electronic variable speed.
This lathe does have electronic variable speed control. 👍
Hi, can we buy it in Spain?
