- Here are methods talked about in this video on how to get one: Disclaimer: I do not get commission from these sources listed below.
1. Search local Craigslist and compare.
2. Online vendors from a RUclips and Facebook who are already importing for the domestic market.
3. Auction sites used

4. Purchase directly from sales reps from China, may or may not be from factories directly but still offers very competitive pricing, they offer what the factories provide, much like almost all the vendors. You find them through Alibaba.com, made-in-China.com, or Facebook has many also, they can help you source many different models, and other machineries as well. You can use my contact if you like, her name is Cindy, just tell her you got the info from Jason. Below is her contact and her Alibaba.com listing.

5. If you like to get the Landscape Buddy excavator package, you can contact me. I always have 1 or 2 units in yard for rent or sale, I’m in the Bay Area of NorCal. I retail the gasoline model package for $12,500 including the CA sales tax. Please text me, 650-670-2974, first as I don’t answer unknown calls. Or, I can help you get connected with the factory and you import directly and save. The Landscape Buddy is made by Shandong Hechuang Heavy Industry, and the Landscape Buddy 1.5-ton model is currently available only through factory direct. You can buy their other models and excavator, and you can read more of their website here,

This is Nick Hackenberg with GroundHog Equipment LLC, we just wanted to say thank you for noting our brand on your video. We have dealers in ME, OH, CT, WA, OK, MD, PA, IN, and NY currently and sell around 80 units monthly. We do try to keep 1 ton to 6 ton units in stock but that doesn't always happen. Hopefully we have at least 1 dealer per state in the next 2 years and can come out and visit and shake hands. Thanks again and good luck with everything.
What would a 1 ton unit with a thumb shipped to Jersey cost?
@@mattdg1981watch your local auction sites
I appreciate the time you’ve put into trying to educate more people on this.
Thank you and don’t let any negative comments get you down. Your videos have been helpful to me.
I went through the process on purchasing a mini excavator with Jason's help. He has worked with the factory in China to put together "packages" of mini excavators with a particular build and set of accessories. He has made sure that certain safety features are included such as a hydraulic lockout switch and balance valves on the drive motors. I purchased the 1.5ton 3cyl kubota diesel package with $1k worth of accessories directly through the factory in China. Total came to $15,200. That's everything, including the accessories, excavator, broker fees, tariff, and CFS fees. The machine came with a hydraulic thumb, boom swing, and pilot controls. Process went relatively smoothly, I placed the order in the beginning of April of 2022 and picked it up at the end of July. I picked it up from the CFS in Kent, WA myself and hauled it home. I have to admit it was scary making that wire transfer straight to the factory but it went fine. Overall I'm happy with it and I can tell that anything smaller wouldn't have worked for me.
What are balance valves
$15,200 included the 25% import tax?
These are great work horses. And for the price, it helps so many small business owners to keep going. Keep up the good work
I agree with you 100%. I was able to do extra work and make extra money because of these machines! Have a great summer!
Dont forget about import and customs fees ontop of buying factory direct. Then getting it shipped from the port to your location is another cost
I live in Corpus Christi, Texas- shipped here?
How easy is it to get part?
I have the gas Landscape Buddy and it has payed for its self a few times over! It is a great little unit.
How much to get one to maine
I have a couple of friends interested but want to see what happens to me first. I would like some assistance in finding this machine and ordering 2 or 3. I am close to the wilmington nc port. thanks.
I'm in the midwest. Where are you located. Could i drive to you
I was able to secure an import w/ house shipping for a 1.2 ton model for 4900! I do not own a property large enough to "warrant" one of these. But I like digging holes.
For that price just buy it locally, or auction. Unless you’re getting something unique and other attachments at the same time. Otherwise, it’s not worth your time, effort, and money to buy a single unit overseas. Lots have changed since the publication of this video.
please do update video! This one was great but would love to know what has changed. Looking for a mini skid steer myself. @@jasonyeh99
Amazing 🤩 video well explained
Hi , i live in Las Vegas nevada , how Can i buy one from direct Manifactor & pick at a port from California
How do I do it to order one ,like the one you're operating in this vidio?
I am interested in retailing them
What’s the main source to buy it ?
Hi True Vine, are your machines available in Australia?
Cheers 👍
It’s available, you’ll have to order directly from the Chinese factory and they’ll build it to my spec.
Great video 👍
Do you know the cost on a 4 and 6 ton? I can drive to a port.
How much was it?
Do you sell bigger models
Is there any dealers in Kentucky or a bordering state of Kentucky?
Hi, Thanks for the video. I'm looking for a small lp gas for lift and I live I Michigan. Any suggestions?
I run a mobile home park and it's a plumbing nightmare. I need a machine that size or smaller, I do not have any discs in my back left to keep shovel digging. What do you suggest honest opinion from community will it help me. 3 grand is what a company would charge me for one dig.
Another option for you might be the Harbor Freight mini excavator. I bought one and it would be better to have tracks but the machine is capable, affordable and a whole lot better than a shovel. One word of caution though, consider how deep you need to dig, these lightweight machines can only really dig approximately 3/4 of their max depth.
I ordered 2000 lbs. of chinese soup. It was Won Ton.

I have come to realize that importing process is very similar around the world, so I have am sure I can help you get connected with the factory and you can have an excavator ship to you no problem. Cheers!
Hello, there are so many different companies offering on Alibaba!! The biggest problem I have is their lack of information on the units offered. Looking at this manufacturer: SHANDONG CNMC MACHINERY CO.,LTD. Earth moving machinery 1ton 0.8ton micro mini excavator with free bucket for sale.
What do you think? We need it for sprinkler repair digs and could also double in landscape work. Need a unit that is no wider than 36" and weight under 2k so its versitile.
Great,informative video,thank you.
Im interested in getting a load. How can I speak with you directly?
The link doesn't work
May run into problems importing due to emmisions if it does not have epa cert
The engines are EPA Tier 4 Final so it’s completely legit to be sold here in the USA. Blessing to you and have a great day!
What about RIPPA Machinery Factory ? They have large variety of construction machines. Reliables?
I have no experience with RIPPA so can’t tell you. But from what I see I’m guessing they’re a online reseller rather than a factory that devoted to making good excavators. That’s just my opinion. Thanks for commenting and cheers!
@@jasonyeh99 Thank you for your evaluation, we will strive to make better machines. My video homepage, there are very detailed videos about our factory, you can watch it if you are interested. have a beautiful day

Could you do a review on skid steers I'm looking to import a couple pieces of equipment for my construction company
Not likely to get a larger skid steer b/c of its cost. And for the cost you can find a decent machine in the US domestic used market. Cheers and thanks for commenting!
Can you ask me about it, do I have this honor?
Has anyone purchased the RIPPA brand machine? how is it?
I'm trying to figure out how to order a 1.5 to a 2 ton excavator from China but I'm having trouble finding answers on how to do it.
Do you have larger ones 5-6 ton with cab?
No the factory I deal with, and in my opinion, it’s not worth it. Anyway over 2 ton class is better buying the machines that are already here, whether be it new or is Ed, you have a lot more options. Cheers and thanks for commenting!
How do I get ahold of you to buy one or import one myself?
My info are posted in several of the video descriptions, the best is to text me and set a time so we can talk. Many of us are from different time zone so coordination is a must, on top of that, I seldom answer unknown calls. Cheers and thanks for stopping by!
My 1 ton machine is still in a boat, but I will pay around 6k including fees for a 1 ton machine with attachments from Mia.
Great to hear, thanks for sharing. Did you get any extras, like buckets, augers, etc? $6k for just the excavator, what fees are you talking about which is included? Let us know your final price after picking up the unit. Do come back and share your user feedback, thanks again!

I live in WA state. Can I buy your setup? How much? Where would I pick up? Thanks
Hey Dustin, contact Jason through RUclips and he will help you out like he did me. Watch his video on the importing process. Jason has worked with a factory and put together mini excavator packages. I purchased the 1.5 ton kubota diesel package with $1k worth of accessories. Total price including shipping, excavator, accessories, tariff, broker fees, and CFS charges was $15200. Excavator came with boom swing, hydraulic thumb, and pilot controls along with the accessories. I paid the factory directly. I picked it up in Kent, WA myself from the CFS( Container Freight Station) and hauled it home. Process was new to me but it all went relatively smoothly. Overall I'm happy with it. I don't think a gas model would do what I need.
Can you get alibaba machinery shipped to your door? Or do you have to do the complicated seaport pickup?
I have no doubt you can get door-to-for delivery, the questions you have to ask yourself is are you welling to pay for it? I have seen quotes from my RUclips subscriber share with me the domestic freight, and it’s $2500-3500.
Picking up from the custom warehouse is not complicated. Have you seen my video on step-by-step import? Cheers and thanks for commenting!

Thanks for the reply, Located in Australia so picking up from our seaport is a very complicated process.

I need a mini-ex in Colorado.
How much is the import tariffs? Did you pay for door to door shipping service, or did you have to pick it up at the port or at a shipping agents location?
The import tariff rate for machinery is about 25%. I have only helped folks with orders that send directly to sea port and they pick up the cargo personally. I’m not familiar with any logistics after the sea port. If you find out, please let me know so I can post it here to benefit others. Cheers and thanks for commenting!
@@jasonyeh99 I'm looking at importing another type of machine, not a mini ex, but it weighs 900KG. I was quoted $2900 door to door including customs clearance. I'm 4 hours from the nearest port. The machine is about $7500.
The factory told me $1000 shipping to the port but thats with no customs fees or paying any kind of agent.
When you've imported did you go through a shipping agent, or did you deal directly somehow with US customs and handle all paperwork yourself? It would be great if you could briefly explain the importation process and fees. Maybe a good video idea?
Please see my video on importing step-by-step. It answered all of your questions. Thanks and cheers!

I have a relied 12 i want attachments, tilt bucket, 16” digging bucket, hammer, auger, I live in orange county, do you sell this?
I can sell you, but then you’ll have to pay a premium markup. It’s always easier to get everything you might want with the excavator in the crate. In order for me to make it work, I markup about 80%, the. the CA sales tax, and the buyer has to pay for shipping. Or you can come up NorCal to pick it up. I have all the items you mentioned. I think it is obvious now. They just use our own capitalism against us. While they insulate their populace to not even know what that is.
Dear believe me, if you don't infringe on China's claimed territorial sovereignty (the lands that were taken away and recovered during the colonial period of World War II, including Taiwan and Hong Kong), then China only wants to do business with you.
