When the other options are a $10 shovel or a $30,000 brand-name machine...these could be handy. That is like saying nobody should buy a rubbish Prius, they should either walk or buy a Lamborghini.
Love that you guys are doing this video series, bringing a lot of transparency to the Chinese excavator market and helping new owners make an educated decision.
Thanks so much! That's exactly what we're aiming for - to give new owners the info they need to make the right choice. Stay tuned for more videos, we’ve got a lot of comparisons coming up!
Thanks, Mike! I really appreciate the feedback 😊👍. Glad you found the videos helpful! Your videos are great too-looking forward to more projects you've done.

Already have a Rippa R319 but I want to buy one with swing boom so i can dig better near walls. The one in your video has interesting boom with the cylinder on top. I have not seen this offered to me. Do i need to ask separate to get both swing boom and boom with cylinder on top? It seems safer for digging, not sure if it's as strong as standard boom. Also can you tell me what lever is for swing boom? I also have 4 levers and 2 pedals, it would need one more to work correctly right?
The boom cylinder on top provides greater digging ability but sacrifices some lifting power. We currently have the Rippa R319 with a swing boom and a top-mounted boom cylinder in stock. Pricing is as follows: $6,400 for the B&S 13.5HP model and $9,000 for the Kubota D722 Diesel model. The swing boom is controlled by a button hidden on the left joystick.

Glad I could help! Overall, heavier machines are more likely to come with pilot control, as most non-pilot control machines are typically one-ton gasoline-powered models.
Do you ever get in any of the 15 series? I have been looking at the Diggit em15, ff15, jg15, and the miva VA15p. I am more interested the in the machines with the pilot controls.
@@bisonequipment Auction completed already. I picked up an NW-18. I liked that it has everything from hydralic filters and coolers, to Hydr-thumb and engine bay fans. I only have an hour on it so far as I was waiting for new grease fittings since the ones they come with are make of crap. I flipped the engine bay fan and made a shroud so now it cools much better. Added LEDs around entire machine for being able to operate in the dark. I am waiting for some parts to arrive to try to fix the leaking gas tank. Also had to wire in my own kill switch since turning off the ignition doesn't kill the engine. Overall I got what I was expecting and its already saved a few hours of back breaking work.
@@HellTriX Yeah, I do like the design of the NW-18 Plus, but since it’s not that popular, I’m a bit worried about finding parts down the line. it’s awesome that it’s already saving you hours of hard work. Machines like that really pay off when you can customize them to fit your needs. Keep us posted on any new tweaks you make!
Most AGT machines are sourced from auctions. If you’re buying from a reseller, you might as well purchase directly from the auction. Buying through a middleman means paying extra for their markup without necessarily receiving warranty or parts support. Additionally, AGT is essentially a rebranding company (I know they have a factory tour video on Facebook, but it’s misleading). For this reason, I recommend choosing machines that come directly from the factory. Factory-direct machines come with a VIN plate, allowing the factory to identify the specific batch and provide better warranty service. If you decide to go with a factory-direct machine, look for local sellers with a physical store and a good stock of spare parts, like we do. This way, you can take advantage of the seller’s parts and warranty support. Even if the seller goes out of business, you can still contact the factory directly to purchase parts for a fee. If you don’t have local dealers with a physical store and in-stock parts, feel free to contact us. We ship machines nationwide for just a few hundred dollars extra.
@ , thank you for the advise. I really appreciate you taking the time to respond. I have been watching your videos. They are very helpful and informative. The local guy has four new units for sale, but no warranty comes with them. I don’t think there are any legitimate resellers near me, who offer a warranty or stock replacement parts. The closest legit reseller, who stocks replacement parts, offers Kymron units with a one year warranty. His location is a two hour drive from me. The Kymron units are $8000 plus tax and the additional cost for shipping, or trailer rental and fuel costs to go get it myself. My thoughts were if parts are actually available for the GH12R machines, like pumps, drive motors, ext., I could buy a lot of parts for that additional $4000 I would save buying locally with no warranty. I agree buying with no warranty is a big gamble. My understanding is if I can get a warranty, it would be good for one year at best. My biggest concern is availability of vital parts after the warranty period. That is more likely when I would need to replace something serious, since I would likely have less than forty hours on any excavator the first year. Do you know if hydraulic pumps and drive motors are actually available for these machines in the states, or do the pumps, drive motors have to come direct from China. Do all QH12R machines all use the same drive motors and pumps, are do they vary from machine to machine? If these QH12R machines are rebranded variants and not identical, then after warranty repairs would likely be a nightmare anyway, no matter where I bought it. I will continue to look for a reseller who stocks parts and offers a warranty. I may ultimately end up spending $1500 to $2000 on a local rental of a Kubota U17 ( $300 per day 8 hours use per day ) to handle my immediate project, burying twenty-four tree root balls. We had a tornado last summer that took down 24 trees on our property. My immediate need is what got me thinking about buying a cheap Chinese machine. If a cheap Chinese machine would actually dig twenty-four holes 4 to 5 feet deep, my net out of pocket differential to own a small machine, that I could be available on site at my discretion, would be $2500 to $3000. I subscribed to your channel and will continue to follow your progress. You certainly have provided a lot of good information about your personal machine. Looks like you are improving on the functionality of your machine. I look forward to seeing how the add-ons work to improve the smoothness of operation and longevity of the machine.
