80 year old retired farmer here, Used to do a lot of farm machinery auctions when metal was metal and not tin foil and plastic lol. Auctions were always fun for me!
YOU CAN STILL GET QUALITY GROUNDHOG
A lot of Chinese-made stuff works fine. I have three Chinese generators I purchased in 2001 that still start right up and run great. I ran one that puts out 5000 watts for five days straight, except to shut it off for refueling and then immediately restarting, during a power outage. I paid $300 for that generator. I purchased five generators in total. Gave two to family. All five generators are still running great. I’ve had to replace one short fuel line on one unit.
I have a Chinese 52 cc chainsaw that cost $106 delivered to my door. I’ve cut down seven large trees and bucked them into firewood rounds. I could have thrown it away day one and still been ahead. I spent $4500 on tree crews before deciding to cut down dead or dying trees myself. My son has several stilh saws. He now has two of the 52cc Chinese chainsaws. He modifies the air filter and then retunes them. He cuts several cords of firewood a year. He heats with wood.
Most tools and equipment sold today are made outside the USA. Kubota excavators are made in Japan.
I would stay away from the mini excavators sold at auctions for $4000 to $5000. If anyone is serious about buying a cheap mini excavator, a Kymron mini excavator is $8000, but worth the difference in price. It comes with a hydraulic thumb and a counter weight. Replacement hydraulic Pump and drive motors for Kymron minis are available from USA sources.
We live in a global economy. I buy products made all over the world. No other country in the world produces better weapons of war than the USA, but as far as tools, machinery, and electronics, most of it or some of the parts for it, comes from factories outside the USA.
HELLO MIKE. I own one of those tree and post pullers. It works great on my 35 hp tractor. I have pulled out 5 inch diameter trees. I lift and drive back and forth and the tree and root ball come out of the ground. I also own a cheap mini excavator which I also like. Very powerful. Very good for the price. Just that the travel speed is a little slow.
USA products have no quality like they used to! Planned obsolescence is flooded here!
America hates on China because China is better at capitalism than America
The motor in it is uhmerican
Kymrons are the same thing, they just add a few improvements on them.
You should watch Andrew put his mini excavator through its paces. He was really impressed how tough it is
We didn't even get one "I don't know why that broke. It shouldn't have broken" in the whole video which is like a 10/10 in his book.
Thanks for sharing with us Mike, enjoyed the coverage you and Adam provided with us on the auction and equipment. Stay safe and keep up the good work. Fred.
Excellent video. Thx for taking time to review before and after items in the auction. 👍👍👍
Thank you so much for talking about these mini Excavator 😊. The best quote was say ( SAVE you back. Better than a shovel) 😊😊😊
I've actually been thinking about getting one of these for trenching and small jobs around the house
Good ole IH power can't be beat, one suggestion on your racking, there's holes where the rails hook on the uprights take the time to put a bolt in each one because they will pop out . speaking from experience,we have the same kind at work.
We bought an AGT Industrial QH12 for $4,000 at a local auction. For occasional use they’re a decent machine. They have a surprising amount of power considering the 13 1/2hp Briggs. Our EPA sticker is on the side 😂. I put a hinge on the rear door so we can access the pull start (yes, it has a recoil start) in case the battery is dead. I had to install the hinge carefully so I didn’t damage the epa sticker. It looked pretty “official”. 😂
That made me laugh out loud about the EPA Sticker :))
Sorta like that label on a mattress: “Do Not Remove Under Penalty of Law”
@@barryhoneycutt3894 But when you import anything with an engine, EPA demands it. Crazy right!
Very informative, thanks for the review and run down on the equipment.
I have an AGT L12 mini excavator and so far it has been fantastic. I immediately changed the oil, hydro fluid, and added cooling fans. So far I have built a road in steep terrain into a spot I am wanting to plant an orchard, cleared and grubbed about 1/4 acre for the orchard, cleaned my ditches along the drive, cut and moved firewood, leveled a barn, dug footers for a cabin that I am building, and lots more stuff.
If you didnt add the cooling fans, would you have had to give it a rest every now & then?
Good morning from Bedford, PA. You motivated me in purchasing a Kubota for my mountain property. With all the snow we have this morning I will be getting out there moving snow and see how it does. God bless.
Trying to start a RUclips feud with Diesel Creek? This is his specialty.
A western PA rivalry!!😂🤣😂
ehh, Matt at Diesel Creek doesn't buy new, cheap, Chinese heavy equipment.
Long term subscriber here, infrequent commenter. I must say you have the best music linked in with your clips!
👍👍👍👍👍👌Interesting stuff thanks for a look at the auction!!
GOOOOOOOOD
SATURDAY MORNING
TO ALL MY FELLOW OWTM’s FANS/FOLLOWERS!!…Mike thank you for this video. Adam is a HOOT!! He’s one talented man too.
What did Melissa bud on 😂?
Have a day!
HELLOOOO Hunter 😊
Great tour of the auction Mike. I love my mini ex. I paid $3400 total for my Agro tek 12. it came with mech thumb, concrete breaker, rake and auger with 3" and 6" bit's All i can say is it has retired most of my shovels and it just plain fun to run. Thanks for the great content it goes great with a cup of coffee.
im been searching around for a used mt55 mini skid steer for sidewalk snow clearing and landscaping work
Dang that’s a sweet deal
I did not know Roger’s flea market did auctions I go there in the summer time. This is a different kind of video, good job.
Adam's truck is a beauty. I have a 2001 Ford F350 crewcab pickup, with the 7.3 Powerstroke, and 265,000ish miles. When we bought the truck, the plan was to replace it in 20+ years when I retired. Now, 22 years after buying it, I am not so sure I want to follow through on that plan. I like my old truck. As Adam said, it starts every time I need it to, and is still in pretty good condition. It is a little noisy, which is really the only reason why I would even think about a new truck....until I think about the pricing on the new ones.
Andrew certainly put his through the paces and it seemed to be pretty strong.
A couple years ago I bought a Chinese excavator and I used it for one summer. It was amazing how much work I accomplished with the thing. It had a diesel engine on it and did everything I asked of it. Other then having some electrical issues and a track issue it got the job done. I have since upgraded to a bigger SANY SY35U so that I could use a mower for road ditches. If you have a tight budget and don't make your living with it I think it beats a shovel.
hi there very interesting .enjoyed the recap . best to all john
Before we moved to S.C. my husband would go to the auctions at Roger's. He used to live in Carroll County, Ohio and all the farmers went to Rogers.
I enjoyed it it but it was long! I'm a woman and have equipment.... But redundant. Have a great weekend.😎
I own a Case 580 CK, and it makes a mess of the yard. The stabilizers leave 4-inch deep square holes in the yard and the wheels leave tracks, all of which I have to fix later. I want a mini excavator to work on my flower beds and landscaping without making a lot of other work for myself. I see a light Chinese excavator as a way of moving small amounts of dirt without shoveling it myself, those days are over for me. Great video, thanks.
Hello! 😊 l love the opening music, "We All Need Adventures" , Howard Harper-Barmes.
Andrew Camarata has one of those little Chinese mini-ex'es. I was pretty impressed with what he could do with it and how well it held up to his abuse.
Good auction coverage. Dealers and rental companies will come in to these and buy a whole lot of one item to resell or rent out.
Morning David.... sunny and cold here... had 6 inches of snow Thursday night, just enough to make a mess....
Good morning David. Hope all is well.
@@Tdale85 Hi Ted, Doing good, hope you are too.
Good morning gentlemen. Hope you have a great weekend.
@@waynebarnett7467 Hi Wayne! What's the weather like in your neighborhood?
I would have loved one of those 2 post lifts just for working on my toys.
I think those little excavators might be good for a guy that installs underground downspouts or something where is just a shallow trench and able to get is small backyard gates
Good Saturday morning Morgan family! More snow here in SE PA. Almost another foot last night! Have a great weekend.
Just a couple inches here
Good Saturday Morning Mike and Friends....
Pete 🇨🇦
Hi Pete! Cooler here today, 40° F now going up to 50.
MIKE, you mentioned a post hole digger, and a few other attachments (future purchases ) I have some good guesses about...
'the Man with a Plan' ! Nice score on the shelving! Definitely needed!
The best use case examples for those minis would be small excavation jobs like buried utilities around homes with existing landscaping. Foundation repair guys might also find them useful. The low weight and minimal ground pressure leaves less chance to do damage.
Also good at getting through gates and fences in municipalities.
Wow that gate would have looked awesome at your WV cabin!
Andrew Camarata bought one and he seems to like it I was impressed personally
Hey Mike,
Thanks for sharing. Take care, all the best, and God bless.
Great job fixing up and taking care of that Ford!!! Great work truck!
The Chinese stuff has its uses but I generally rent equipment for the jobs I have around here and don’t have to think about longevity or parts availability. Depending on the job a local guy is actually on par with a rental and does great work.
Good morning from Upstate South Carolina. I want that shipping container. Have a productive day.
both country view acres and Nathan from Out in the woods have shown the use of one of those stump/post puller. seemed to work pretty well
You shelved this vid B4 the snow. Stuff envy including Adam,s truck.
The Valentine's present made me laugh! Had an uncle who bought my aunt a brand new bass boat for their wedding anniversary!? Have a great day...
Little factory where I live in Indiana called steel mart that manufactures the dump containers in many different sizes. Plus snow pushers and dumpsters and garbage disposal bins.
That gate would be nice for the entrance at the cabin in WV!
Good morning Morgan's. I have 4 different Fords with the 7.3 2002 excursion with 350,000 on it with no problems and i just rebuilt a 1999 350 it cost me $9000.00 but thats cheaper than buying a new one with all the mandates on them now
Another great 👍 video Mike a little time out from the hustle and bustle at home probably is a good relaxer for the soul and body 😮😊❤
Nice video, nice adventure. Yes, I loved Adam's truck. He put in a lot of work on it for sure, but what a gem he has. An old good running truck w bran new bells and whistles. He could make a decent living just doing that. Refurbishing older trucks. I finished two cups of coffee on this video! Sure do appreciate you taking us w you Mike. This video beat EVERYTHING on regular TV!!👍🚜❤️🙏🇺🇸🇺🇸
very nice . good to see your point of view . thank you go hunter go. god bless the morgans
Pretty cool. Stay safe everybody
This took me a few days, but was very interesting. Thank you
Great video! I actually bid on two of the H12's but I didn't win either. Kinda cool seeing a preview of what I bid on. Sure beats a picture.
It was pretty neat that your skid steer reached the opposite side of the trailer unloading.
IAM not a ford guy but that's a hell of a truck.7.3 bullet proof with that standard .Great videos
I swear you guys were walking around every auction yard here in WNY. It's all the same stuff. From the driveway gates to the boxes of ratchet straps - Exactly the same! Too funny. That T300 looked like a nice machine. I bought one of those tool benches last year for my garage and it is very nice! - Tim
where are these auctions in wny ?

Good morning! Very interesting video. Adam's truck is very impressive! Maybe its just me, but I never "win" when I get something cheap. The thing ends up breaking or not performing anywhere near what is expected. I usually regret not just buying the higher quality product and avoiding the headaches. Plus, I try to buy Made in USA as much as possible. Have a day!
Mike before you buy a mini loader with tracks rent one. They are a rough ride. I ran one 7 hours straight yesterday it's a little painful.
That 40 foot container with side doors would make a good road side atm for your firewood packages and eggs 🥚 Mike
Decorate the front of your property with a container, at +$5000 that's a lot of firewood
I am sure the neighbors would love the sight of the thing. 🤣
In Ontario Canada these 40 footers are going for $11,000 Canadian plus all the fees, so would have to sell a lot of wood to pay for itself.
Hi Mike, if you want to know more about the stump/post pullers, ask Nathan from Out of the Woods or Daniel from Arms Family Homestead about them as they both have one and has used it on their property's.
those mini excavtors would be pretty god for landscapers getting in behind houses etc
Hi Mike, I like the little stand loaders too, kubota makes one that looks pretty good, might be worth checking out.
The Briggs engine is an EPA certified engine that is what the sticker on it represents
Those mini ex"s have their place. They're inexpensive, easy to fix. Easy to replace/ simple engines. As it should be.
Ever been to Hills auction in Landen berg PA? All kinds of stuff.
Also if you want want one of those dumper bins. Not that difficult to put together. Get some sheet steel and one of those table top plasma cutters and fab the pieces to size. Weld it up.
A great video again, but then again I like auctions and equipment.
Interesting video mike I thought we would be watching a dirt moving and tree removal video this morning but I enjoyed this video and Adam's ford dump is a very nice dump he did a great job building it very nice🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Always enjoy your videos. We would love for you and Melissa to do another Saturday night live. I'm sure we're not the only ones. So come on folks agree with me. Strength in numbers!!!
Interesting video Mike. Have a great weekend!
Adams mud flaps has Robertson trucking on them which is just south of me and where my local Yanmar dealership is, small world.
I used to go to several small auctions before covid. Did some online bibbing after. It can be a challenge to understand the different auctioneers.
pretty cool video some nice toys and some maybe not but lots of stuff for sure
Good call on the mini skid Mike, just step up on it👍
Good morning Mike, we have a auction house here in Northern Washington that looks like they sell the same exact stuff. They have an auction about once a month you’re right the containers do come from China with the equipment in them.
Those auction items cracked me up! I see so many of the IDENTICAL items at my local auction down here in Florida. LOL
Mike get a demonstrator mini excavator would be good durabilty videos on the Chinese version just saying? Cheers 🥂 guys 😊did enjoy 😊
Good - snowy - Pennsylvania morning. :)
I may need to do some research on those little excavators. I only have a few acres, so I don't really need the big kubota like you have, although it would be great. One of those small excavators would be a great help for me if they are actually any good. I think I could probably haul it on the trailer I use to haul my zero turn mower on also if I needed to.
First time I have heard you mention Andrew Camarata. I am subscribed to both your channel and his. Great content.
Camarata is ALL of these types of "youtubers" idols... they hate to mention a MUCH more successful channel. When these guys turn their channel into a product ad, I'm out.
I have a wolverine 72" cut china brush cutter - had to replace the blade assembly but otherwise is very heavy built! 2-3 inch material, no problem...
I could put that cargo container/ office to good use, but only if it comes with one of those fancy EPA stickers.
Isn’t that Hilarious?
Interesting Video Mike!!
Although Most Likely Nothing I Would purchase!
Keep Smiling On!!
😅👍👊❤️
Another great video, Mike!👍🏻
They must do these china auction everywhere. I got a high cube container and hydraulic pallet fork in Dec. Great hydraulic pallet fork for the $
My 1st hyd offset flail mower was a made in China unit. I used it hard and it made it thru the 1st year. Blew the hyd cylinder and busted the roller off it twice in the second year. After cobbing it together since OEM parts did not exist, I started year 3 and halfway thru the year the whole frame houses cracked and the thing twisted up like a pretzel. Scrapped it out and bought a Del Morino. Yes it cost twice the Chinese unit, but I am on year 3 with it and have not had one thing break or go wrong. All said, you get what you pay for. This was a cool video. Mike. Thanks
Matt at Diesel Creek hits Ritchie Brothers Auctions in Ohio always getting deals . Compactor loaders, graders
Mike Brock from Rockhill Farms has a mini Skid steer he uses all the time around his saw mill. Would be handy. Easy on easy off
... cool auction thanks for the peek ..!.. some Speedrack used to be made in East StroudsburgI think by Wholesale Pallet Rack Products? I hauled some to home Depot B4 for them
I was going to buy a walk behind loader they really come in handy in tight areas, but they went higher than I wanted to pay. Most of those things to me are not to bad!.
Nice, I want one.
That FORD that Adam built is one beautiful buggy.Love the upgrade on the front clip and those powerstrokes 7.3 are bulletproof. He knows his stuff. The Made in China stuff,I think it would end up just frustrating me.I hate downtime.
Hey Mike,
I just bought one of those LRT23 Chinese mini skids at auction in Ohio a couple weeks after you posted this video for $4800 plus buyers fees and taxes $5450 . Haven't put it to work yet but run and operates great. I've been looking for 6 months and the prices on these are definitely starting on their way up for sure. One thing i can say is the only way I've seen these on FB is to buy is new, which leads me to believe the people that are buying the thousands of the Chinese pieces of equipment like them and aren't selling them?? Thanks for posting video because it finally made me pull the trigger and grab a mini skid. Cant wait to put it to work😎
Andrew Camarata... Buying a new $4000 excavator QH12 HE LOVES THIS MACHINE!
My thinking on Chinese products is they are like disposable lighters.
When they quit ya just chuck 'em, cause ya can't find parts to rebuild em.
hydraulic motors and pumps are a common off the shelf item, Lewis
Equipment auctions are interesting. I wonder how much of that equipment is specifically made to auction.
Your compelling arguments leave no room for doubt. This model possesses the qualities we seek. We'll be traversing your channel to acquire a thorough understanding of its features. Our sincere appreciation for the recommendation.
Glad Hunter is doing well now. I don’t know how you put up with all the naysayers and people who question your every move. In the rare instances that you do something I don’t understand, I remind myself that you are one of the sharpest guys I know, and I’m sure there is a good reason behind your actions.
Keep up the good work!
Good video and content Mike. Thanks
With the right funding, you too, can have an FDA sticker 😁
We have two similar auctions in the Knoxville Tennessee area that are extremely large; one runs for three straight days.
Got a few inches of snow here in uniontown area. I'll bet TA got a lot too
Good One. Like to see the gear.
Bought a cheap set of pallet forks, didn't realize that they weren't American made.... bent bottom frame first time I used them.
