The one thing to check is the cabin filter. It is small and the air intake is directly over the track in front of the fuel fill door. In the dusty season it seems to fill up fast. One indication is that the air conditioner seem less efficient as the filter plugs up. I usually check it at least twice a day. It is located under the cover under the seat. I noticed that you didn’t get the rear camera I find it is very valuable, especially when working in the forest. Great video.
I expected Neil to pop out of that truck. Excellent review of your new machine. Melissa, which part was for your birthday? I guess we have to wait for your video.
I also went to my Kubota dealer today. Stocked up on some oil and filters. They also gave me a 2024 Kubota calendar. MIKE, WHY HAVENT YOU MADE IT IN THE CALENDAR YET? 😂 Love your new 57!
I liked your comment While watching Mike going over his new excavator I was thinking how we’ve moved on over the years With all the qualities of these new compact m/c’s Of course when quarrying or open cast mining etc the big monster m/c’s are still as amazing 🤩
Hey Mike, thanks for going over the new machine !! Even I was excited about your new "toy" !! Sure has a few extra improvements on it and I can hardly wait to see it in action !! Mind you, you are a very experienced operator and that's definitely a BIG plus !! Happy days ahead !!
Congratulations Mike!! That is a beautiful machine and I know you will be doing great work with it for you and your neighbors!! God Bless You and your family!!😊
Thanks Mike and Melissa for sharing the new Excavator with us. The new improvements will help you all. Stay safe and keep up the fun around there. Fred.
I’m not jealous and I don’t covet other people’s lives and I really only know your life by what I see on RUclips… But if I could write my life up based on something that exists, it would be you. Great family, awesome land, great equipment to maintain it and job specifically designed to support it all.
One eyed customs very talented man... Did you ever imagine you would have such amazing equipment. Couldn't be happier for you. Enjoy and learn so much from your you tube channel and I am 75
nice new machine, and yes have been subed to Messick's for a long time and have even found parts for my cub cadet SC2400 tractor. And Neil is a great person to deal with. and as a side note they put on one hell of a Christmas display ever year.
We had a place near us clearing out "low grade" 4/4 hardwood lumber. All kiln dried...I got maple and poplar for 12¢ a board foot...yes 12 cents! We have made our wood shed siding, treestand (mini-cabin) and the floor in the wood shed with it. So happy I got some of it! WAY better than pallets.
Congratulations on your new toy. The only thing I would recommend to you is to put a magnetic oil pan bolt. If it doesn’t have one already, they work wonders especially for a new machine breaking in. You know there’s gonna be some metal in the breaking.
It will need a bigger magnet then just the oil plug😂 they all have been blowing up on with the Kubota engine. It’s a gamble on when it will go. But they are going boom within a few 100 hrs
@@kevink4914 really that’s hard to believe I mean he swears by Kabota but anyway if you say so all I can say is that on all diesel engines you need to see the Godfather of diesel engines which is Gail Banks he has aftermarket parts. Your diesel will never blow up and you will gain twice the power most diesel engines. Problem is the heater underneath the manifoldand the air intake system bank has both of them beyond belief. If you have diesel, I would advise you to look into Gail Banks you can’t go wrong.
I in no way need one of those, however if someone who knows me wants to drop one in an outside stocking next Christmas I would not mine. I would treat it for a good while just as a toy. Lots of fun.
I had a hunch it was going to be the KX057-5. Great choice again Mike. Over the years you have shown how useful the KX057 has been for your projects so going smaller or larger in size was not necessary. I look forward to the future projects using the new machine. Congrats and thanks for the video.
Congrats Mike, looks like a great machine! Now you've got a helping hand with your land. I found your channel and Neil's about the same time and in the same way, I was looking at tractors. You still had the RKs at that time. I was glad to have found both.
Had me scared for awhile you might be getting a Sears Craftsman or a Murray excavator...Lol Probably a good call staying with Kubota!! Congratulations on a very nice excavator. 👍
Nice machine. I just bought a new 80-4. They were having some good end of the year pricing. Can’t wait to take delivery next month and put her to work.
👍👍👍👍👍👌Same but different cab was even noticeably different on the video and the sounds also seemed a little better, maybe just my imagination all in all sweet machine great choice, Melissa seemed quite happy with her birthday present😄
The cover you touched at 25:55 will screw off and there is a small plunger to release hydraulic pressure. My U55-5 has it. Great for switching out attachments
Good morning 🌞 Enjoy your new Toy. Also it seems we're alike I like buying myself things for my wife's birthday also. Along with your weather seems to be one day or so behind ours. We've had freezing rain for couple days or so. Enjoy watching Ty
That's a nice one Mike. Messicks is only about a half hour away from my place. I remember your video when you and Melissa visited Messick's. Great place for your equipment needs.
Lots of people always asking about the Mrs getting her pool. The pool will probably come with all the dough the Morgans have, but it will be for the grand Babies.
Congratulations on the new machine Mike. Can’t wait to see all of the work you will be doing with it. Happy birthday Melissa. I’m not sure that’s what you would want for a birthday present but it sure is nice.
I’m in Alaska and have been watching you guys for a while. I went through the CDL conundrum as well. Wanted a dump truck for my own use. Didn’t want to haul for hire and discovered the universal farm vehicle CDL exemption. No CDL requirements if you’re under 45,000 lbs and using it for your own business (not for hire). I bought a 7 yard truck with 33,000 gross and licensed it as my farm vehicle. No CDL requirements
Your new machine has quite a few new improvements, I'm glad for you the way things worked out!. This warm up and rain sure has screwed things up!, and I bet you can't wait to go try your new excavator out!.

Excellent review of your new machine.
Melissa, which part was for your birthday? I guess we have to wait for your video.
She didn't seem to be real thrilled to see the new machine even though she'd givin' her blessing for Mike to get it. 😁
Good Morning Morgan Family 🤠- Have a Wonderful and Blessed Day 🤠. Congratulations and best of luck with the new excavator. I’m looking at the KX80.
Good morning!
I also went to my Kubota dealer today. Stocked up on some oil and filters. They also gave me a 2024 Kubota calendar. MIKE, WHY HAVENT YOU MADE IT IN THE CALENDAR YET? 😂 Love your new 57!
The old steam shovels were a piece of art. Saw one working one time and it was a clunker.
I liked your comment

Kinda reminds me of when men actually worked! These men today cry for Mommy! It's time for America to man up!
Glad to hear you purchased from Messick's, Mike.....my favorite equipment dealer! 👍👍👍
Very nice!! Thanks for the detailed review of the 057-5.
Good afternoon from Upstate South Carolina. Love the video. I use Messick's for all my Kubota B-7800 needs. Thanks Neil. Have a productive day.

Sweet machine . Hope you love it as much as the last one .
Your channel is the reason I bought my KX057-5 last year! Glad to see you trade in the -4 for the same machine.
Same here
Sweet machine Mike! A very nice mobile office away from the barn. I hope it serves you as well if not better than the last one.
Thanks MIKE!
I feel the same way about my excavator! I would not go without one!
I sent you a email about the track cleaner but never heard back from you
The kx57-4 is probably the smoothest mini I’ve ever ran, very impressed with the kubota mini’s
Very nice, makes perfect sense now. Enjoy, I wish I had it.
Congratulations, Mike . Can't wait to see you working it.

Awesome upgrade! Looking forward to seeing you work with it in the future.
GOOD LUCK WITH THE NEW MACHINE & USE IT WELL!!

Congrats! Your channel is the reason we purchased a 57-5. They sure are handy!
Nice new machine. I can't wait to see it really work this spring.
Congratulations on your new toy. The only thing I would recommend to you is to put a magnetic oil pan bolt. If it doesn’t have one already, they work wonders especially for a new machine breaking in. You know there’s gonna be some metal in the breaking.

Nice machine Mike....really nice!.. congradulations...well deserved. 👍👍👍
Mike, Nice new 57-5. Somebody is going to get a low hour well maintained 57-4 that’s for sure. Have fun with it.
Awesome Sir 👌 Congratulations. Looking forward to seeing it in operation!
Happy for you Mike handling your new job the right way pays off, more room in the cab makes sense we always want more room
I am glad we have a two hour late start due to icy roads. Nice machine!
I in no way need one of those, however if someone who knows me wants to drop one in an outside stocking next Christmas I would not mine. I would treat it for a good while just as a toy. Lots of fun.
Congrats on the new machine Mike! Looks awesome and the bigger cab is certainly a plus!!
Sweet machine there Mike. Enjoy it, and happy excavating.

The new owner of the excavator will be getting very well kept machine! You are keeping Your equipment in perfect condition! Keep going!

Probably a good call staying with Kubota!!
Congratulations on a very nice excavator. 👍
This is the machine I want! So glad I get to live vicariously through you :)
It's evident you like your new excavator. It seems every January you pick up something new what a way to acknowledge Melissa birthday (lol). God Bless
Very nice machine and just the right size for your property and the task you’ll use it for.
Beautiful machine, here's to many hours of good productive work in the woods👍🇺🇸
Congratulations! I have the Kubota U48-5.....the 4 vs the 5 in terms of upgrades are awesome!
Can’t go wrong with Messicks. I’ll be at their open house on Saturday. Mike you should stop by!😁

Love that machine. I own a kx040-4 and love it. But the 057-5 is what I want
To trade mine in for.
Congratulations Mike!! Great video ~ Enjoy your day and your 'New' Toy!!
If people want a small excavator for making wood, check out the Chinese mini excavators that sell for less than 6k.
👍👍👍👍👍👌Same but different cab was even noticeably different on the video and the sounds also seemed a little better, maybe just my imagination all in all sweet machine great choice, Melissa seemed quite happy with her birthday present😄

That new machine is a beauty Mike! Not that the old one wasn’t.
Congrats on the new excavator. Don't forget to update the equipment list in your video descriptions going forward.
thanks to you I am looking at the same machine right now and thinking of going with messicks, thank you i think lol
Mike the thumb you had on 04 was way better than what they sent you with the new 05. Congrats on upgrading. Glad u didn’t get the 40.
Mike you can store your track scraper in the long compartment instead of grease gun.
Or tripods.
I use a U-55-5 here at the cemetery I run, perfect machine for that. Good luck with the 57-5!
You might need to revisit the egg pickup challenge with the new machine.
Good morning 🌞 Enjoy your new Toy. Also it seems we're alike I like buying myself things for my wife's birthday also. Along with your weather seems to be one day or so behind ours. We've had freezing rain for couple days or so.
Enjoy watching Ty
Boy is it a mess here, rained for about 16 hours on and off
Cool, getting a new & improved toy, that all your other attachments fit. On my birthday 👍👍👍👍
Congrats to ya 👏😀👍🇺🇸😇
Very nice machine grats! I like the new look of the kubotas! I also took possession of my new machine this week! We get attached to things hah!
That's a nice one Mike. Messicks is only about a half hour away from my place. I remember your video when you and Melissa visited Messick's. Great place for your equipment needs.
Lots of people always asking about the Mrs getting her pool. The pool will probably come with all the dough the Morgans have, but it will be for the grand

Well done Mike. You’re gonna love it. Enjoy!
I’m always excited when I get a new machine. That’s the perfect fit for you.
Looks nice! Messicks had a bit of a drive through the country for delivery.
Congrats on the new machine. I noticed the larger glass on the new cab as soon as you showed it.
