I hate microsoft, anything made by Microsoft is always stuck or you have to pay to use it, like office 365, xbox etc

Nothing worked for me. The installation goes all the way to 100% then states that the update failed.
I had to completely uninstall avast antivirus to get this to work. Disabling it was not enough

@@spacemanjupiter I have kaspersky and microsoft themselves did the install after uninstalling all anti-virus programs and it kept failing at 80%. They actually recommended reinstalling windows and deleting all of my apps. No can do.
Mines would go to 100% then go back to pending install 0%. Any new tips?

Solution 1 and 2 did NOT work! I'm still getting the error: Windows 10, version 1903 - Error 0xc1900223
The video is so useful if the installation is not complete due to some reason you have to follow the steps given in the video to delete the previous downloaded files. aside from this you guys can use windows download assistance which i use and install the upgraded version 1903 just last night and it work.
Ima try that forgot I did it this way awhile ago and forgot I’m literally here cause windows 11 is fucked and want to go back to 10 but 10 was giving me update problems hopefully your way fixes this shit
i managed to fix this issue it sounds bad way of doing it but some things conflict so i reset the pc so no drivers were installed anymore then installed the windows 1903 iso and bam it worked so far so good
The trick is to do it without resetting windows, that's the last option there should be!
Patched. Microsoft changed the link, both the URL from the video and the hyperlink and the troubleshooter program only wants to download/install and it mentions a fake error to make it look urgent. Not patched is 1903 still refusing to install.

Conclusion is that, we should use update assistant( www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10) and as soon as your downloading finishes you should disconnect Wi-Fi or internet cable and then only start to install !!!

@@MarcellJjr turn all of your 3rd party antivirus apps off. Whilst it’s off don’t use the computer so you don’t get a virus. Just update and turn it back on.

For your guys' info, this crazy shit still keep on repeating until today. I had try all the available 'solutions' available on the net and none work so far. I'm manually closing all running updates to prevent them on dragging down my laptop performance. :(

My log counts 36 1903 updates attempted without an actual error over the past few months... Attempts with errors are: 0x80070643 (20x), 0x80070005 (19x), 0x80070652 (5x), 0x80240034 (only once, it was 1 of the 4 failed updates today).
But mostly it'll just fail without error; it goes to 100% downloaded, then 100% installed, then says a restart is required to complete, I'll restart it, it says it's updating, but then when Windows boots and I log in, Windows update says it isn't installed. It then Re-downloads it, "Re-installs it", says it needs to restart, repeat. No errors, it just never actually installs it apparently...
I cant even finish step 1, I get to the hit f4 part and the pc just shuts off, I dont get the next screen in the video.
The screen is stuck at that F4 key part😩😩😩😩 how long should it generally take to enable safe mode?
Microsoft intends for the 1903 update to fail. Just like the spider text now on all PCs. Microsoft just does it and we put up with it.
Not all of us. After 26 years of putting up with Microsoft and their problems, I switched to MACs and never looked back. When I update a MAC I just hit update and it does it. I don't have to update and then go in an update several more times to get to the latest version. And compared to microsoft updates it is blazingly fast. It also updates the operating system when a new one comes out and I don't have to pay again and again. You know what they say pay more up front and cry once or pay over and over and cry several times.If you ask MAC users why they paid so much for a MAC they will tell you "because it works".

Oh and several of your other videos I've also helped me with improving my computer performance and getting rid of the blue screen of death my main objective was to get rid of the various reasons why my throw together computer freaking was giving me the blue screen of death course I'm running a Linux process server and now Windows 10 at the same time so you understand but but anyways some of the fixes in the CMD that you've shown have helped improve the performance of my computer as a side effect along with getting rid of the various reasons why the blue screen of death would pop up like error code kernel memory management and a few others

It deletes programs installed after the creation of the restore point but it doesn't delete personal files, read the warning windows will shows you before proceeding👍

The best way to deal with the problem of being unable to update windows is to switch to another operating system. I spent three hours with a microsoft technician over in India who walked me through everything I tried myself (unsuccessfully) and then left me to finish the last step, reinstalling via an .iso file, which of course ended in failure (with no explanation). I love how Microsoft's error messages are completely unintelligible (even to their 'experts'). This is an example of software that has reached the point of no return. It's a great operating system if you install it from scratch and never load any applications or try to do anything useful. It will then run perfectly forever.

F4 will trigger the pc to run on safemode when ur on that screen

there is actually a solution to this issue ( i did it ) , i tried all the stuff mentioned in the videos all over the youtube community but still nothing worked to get me getting the 1903 build updates , then i tried to update windows using " Microsoft Update assistant " and it worked like magic ! can you try it guys and tell me weather it worked for you too or not ?

There may be some sense in removing the usb connections as has been previously suggested. 1903 would not install for me, but after disconnecting a usb wi-fi box and speaker system, the update immediately started to install. Sounds strange but it worked.

I let it download the files it needed and when it was installing...(and before 88% where it usually failed)...i disabled avast and wifi(my network connections) and turned on airplane mode. What it was that worked exactly? .... i don't know for sure but probably the network connection that caused the failure. Microsoft your company is a POS !!!

Just stop the Windows Update service, rename the SoftwareDistribution folder and restart the service.. it will rebuild the folder. Don't need to go into any special mode..

None of the solutions worked for me though I deleted all the files in the Software Distribution folders in safe mode and even the troiubleshooting software didn't see any of conflicting files or data. All the drivers were even up to date. Man windows 10 is ao full of glitches it can't even fix itself.
Version 1909 also has this 99% stuck download issue.

God dammit my laptop wont boot at all it will just try to update and at 100% it just says windows was unable to update and then it will retry thr update and fail again and even if i restart again will do same thing
2 days trying and failing that update until I finally found how "wait to the update is downloaded and unplug the internet, I don't know why but it install it just right that way"

No, it did not work. It gets to 83% and hangs. I force shutdown and restart. Update starts again then hangs at 87%. If i force shutdown and restart a 2nd time, it goes back to goes back to previous version. I tried this twice and the 2nd time, I deleted the "SoftwareDistribution" folder in the /WINDOWS folder. I still got to the same point (87%) and it froze. Hope you have better results. cheers!

Nothing will fix this problem. I will continue to use the old version after November. There is no danger anymore of malware. Too many shittiy programs slowing down laptops. I have dumped AVG. It scans for viruses more than 10 years old that are no longer any problem.
you don't sound very computer techy, microsoft updates are no malware
their update are to fix security loophole then there's also when you download your stuff without an AV at your own risk.

Nothing works. Its amazing that MS is worth over 1 trillion dollars but manages to be this incompetent. I have so many problems with Windows 10. Without my Chromebook I wouldn't be able to get any work done.

seriously, F*** Microsoft. I spend twice the time troubleshooting Windows than on OSX. Despite the fact I spend 90% of my computing time on OSX/Linux.
