Steinbrecher für Straßen, Forstwege und Flächen von PTH Products Maschinenbau - Steine fräsen mit Leichtigkeit
Steinfräsen / Steinbrecher oder Crusher dienen grundsätzlich der Zerkleinerung von größerem Material in kleinere Stücke um diese dann weiter zu verwenden bzw. diese keinen Schaden an weiteren Gerätschaften verursachen können.
Mobile Steinbrecher / Steinfräsen für Traktoren / Schlepper von PTH Products Maschinenbau aus Österreich können größere Steine zerkleinern und häufig auch Fräsarbeiten durchführen bei welchen andere Maschinen schon längst an ihre Grenzen gestoßen sind.
Sie sind aufgrund ihres vergleichsweise niedrigen Gewichts leicht zu transportieren und können so mit einem Standard Traktor / Schlepper an Ort und Stelle gebracht werden, wo die Arbeit zu verrichten ist.

What are the pros and cons of this, as opposed to hauling pre-crushed rock from a supplier, resulting in no necessary rock crushing on-site?

It's not just for building roads it's to demonstrate what it can do. It's used on land that is suited for agriculture but is covered in stones for example.
Or to make roads where it's expensive or impossible to get heavy trucks with gravel and where there are enough stones available.
