  • How do you do communion at home? Who can lead? What about the bread?
Pastor David answers these questions and then we have a wonderful tutorial from Robin O'Donnell, co-owner of The Prepared Table, on how to make your own communion bread at home. Grab the kids and make this a fun and memorable family project!
    Ingredients:
    1/4 cup flour (all-purpose, gluten-free okay)
    1T oil (olive or vegetable)
    1T water
    Smidge of salt
Combine ingredients, then roll or press out into a disc about the thickness of a tortilla.
    Slice into small bite-size pieces.
Cook at medium heat in a non-stick skillet about one minute on each side or bake at 425 degrees for 10 minutes (flip halfway through).
Remove from heat and cool on a dry paper towel. Can be stored in an air-tight container for a day.

Is it wrong to eat this as a snack?

Not at all! It is very yummy! The bread on it's own is not holy and special. It's what we bring in our hearts when we take it as communion that makes it so.
