I always loved this song. I would put this on my stereo and dance my with both my kids when they were just babies. They loved it and still do. Go watch the movie True Romance it's also one of my favorites!
I've loved this song since I saw True Romance in theaters in the 90s. It was on the first mixed tape I gave to my girlfriend. A few years later she walked down the aisle to me as this played at our garden wedding. I don't remember much from that day, it was such a blur but those few minutes I can still recall with perfect clarity. I remember thinking, "How perfect".
my dad played this when i was little kid when he was driving me. I'm 18 now and graduating high school and moving to san diego for college and I can't help but cry everything i hear it. I love my dad.
Aye lad. I know that he loves you as well, where ever he might be. Never forget it. Love others. I love my own boy. He’s so completely disabled it’s so hard to feel his love, but I want you to know that your da loves you and always will.
This is an arrangement not a composition the tune is hundreds of years old and several famous composers have used it Hans Zimmer being one of the latest, that said it is a splendid arrangement See en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gassenhauer
You know the way he bangs those drums with so much Passion and Raising hands up in excitement at the end, you can tell he has fun with this Theme the most
i love this piece so much - both ‘I Think I Love You’ and ‘You’re So Cool’ are the best parts of True Romance tbh 😭💕 no wonder there are 4 different versions of it
I have to comment. My review/opinion comes from a person who listens to very hardcore heavy metal. I remember watching TRUE ROMANCE for the 1st time, cuz I'm a Quentin T fan, and heard this song. I had no idea who the composer was, what work he had done, but immediately said to myself that's a pretty cool tune. I would never ever find myself listening to this type of music especially what is xylophone. They don't use xylophones in heavy metal!!! I felt like the music fit perfectly with the movie. at the end of the movie when a credits came up I found out the name of the song was you're so cool, which I also thought was a cool name for a song considering the movie it was attached to. I then went on RUclips and found this video and I must say I can't help but bang my head to it. This song is just so cool. I can sit here and listen to it over and over again and then I start reflecting on the movie and the parts that it was attached to and it's just fantastic. I can't even put it to words. It's an amazing piece of work and it was one of my favorite movies of all time. In my opinion when you see a movie and a music coincide together so perfectly it has to be this song with the ending of the movie. I don't think the movie could have ended any better. That's my review coming from a headbanger like myself. So after reading my long review you'll never get these four minutes back. I hope you enjoyed it. Take care and carry on
I actually watched the movie 'True Romance' for the first time last night after seeing this theme interlaced in a Spotify playlist of Hans greatest works. Amazing movie. Soundtrack will live in my mind forever.
Oh man i love this song SOOOO much ... as i heard itfirst time in true romance i just couldnt help they crack up a fullscale gunfight and this happy title goes in the back
@@hihowareyou6629 To be fair to Zimmer, a guy called Hans Neusidler wrote it in the 16th century, so both Orff and Zimmer copied it. ruclips.net/video/xibDPBTGOMs/видео.html
Seems quite strange that this minor piece should have so many views, this small bit of a small movie that most people don't even remember. But I suppose people know quality, in the end.

18 years ago my Elizabeth said "Yes" and walked down the aisle with me, to this song in a botanical garden. We are still together.
10 years this year my wife did the same...such a cool tune
ditto 17 years ago , i still love this tune and still love my wife
Niiice. We wanna see some photos of this.
You made me cry tears of joy today!
Thank you :)
:)
"You're so cool" from TRUE ROMANCE is my favorite piece of music from any movie.
It's actually called gassenhauser and from a different composer.
@michael dent Carl Orff
This is hijacked from carl orff from a score for an equally amazing film called Badlands with martin sheen and sissy spacek.
@@hihowareyou6629 Orff hijacked it first though.

この映画を見た時、なんて暴力的で美しいんだろう!って思った。パトリシア・アークエットの可愛いこと!舌足らずの声がよく似合う。
you're a lucky man ... enjoy the melancholy ...
I can hear this a thousand times- and love it each!
I agree!
I totally agree. It is a hypnotic piece of music.
💕
Me too ! But this music is from Carl Orff .
Hans Zimmer is a gift to humanity.

Ich habe das ewig gesucht, wusste nicht das das von Hans Zimmer war, liebe diesen Song.
To the man who gave us the theme tune to going for gold... Humanity thanks you
I never have thought that I come to Motor City Detroit to find my real love.

Carl orff- gassenhaur from the score for the film Badlands. An amazing movie with martin sheen and sissy spacek.
Just watched the movie last night after so many years ago and I remember the song like it was yesterday!
Love this......inspiring...uplifting....courage comes to mind. I will go on...for as long as I can...I’m 73 yrs old. ❤️🥰
I love how the man who wrote this wonderful tune gets to play the drums for it here, look how happy he is.
Amid the chaos of that day, when all I could hear was the thunder of gunshots
I look back and am amazed that my thoughts were so clear and true.
Amazed that three words went through my mind endlessly, repeating themselves like a broken record...
Dom Jurich You’re so cool 👌🏼
Allan Beaton you’re so cool 😍
Tony Scott,You were and are so cool...
You know the way he bangs those drums with so much Passion and Raising hands up in excitement at the end, you can tell he has fun with this Theme the most
greatest soundtrack ever for a movie IMO
Carl orff- gassenhaur. From the incredible movie Badlands.
Have u ever seen that many people smile while doing a musical performance?
82avidfan yep... in the same performance and surely another one. But always with Zimmer.
This is such a joyous piece of music. Simply brilliant
