I do Uber go/x whenever I'm free. Between 14th of dec and 22nd of dec I've made over R16 000. And interms of wear and tear i am a qualified mechanic so i do most of the maintenance in the car. It is just too exhausting but there is some money to be made

I did deliveries with Mr D between May and August 2022 using my vehicle while I was looking for employment. My aim was to gain excess to companies while I do the deliveries. Fuel was just discouraging but it was better than nothing

This is not accurate you will be greatly disappointed. Consider the saturation in your areas aswell. You won't make much money if there's 100 of you versus if there was 50. Not going to lie to you this is not a good job I'm sure you can find better

I'm so shocked at this information, I stay with someone in my house who does Uber eats, he doesn't contribute even a single cent in the house, he's forever crying about being broke, and we live in one of the busiest cities in South Africa, he starts working at 8am and comes back at 1am every day Monday to Sunday

As someone who used to do deliveries with my bakkie,I would say the Uber guys are killing it especially if they are really putting in work.
Contrast to the 🚚 where you get stuck on Sundays or when shop closes, with them there'll always be someone who wants to go somewhere, anytime, anyday.
What type of deliveries were you doing?

Omg 🙆🏻♀️I’m scared to find out how much these people make…I wonder if they have motorbike 🏍 licences because the accidents some of them cause on the roads or even on themselves(driving scooters like they are Bicycles) are 🙆🏻♀️. The platforms won't allow you on without papers, so they can cover themselves up. The issue comes when someone hires out their profile to some randos those ones would be the ones without papers.
