Lol I have the “alternative exhaust” you put in the description 😅 if anybody is weary about buying the boombop one since it’s got a cheap sounding name, I’d say get it! Sounds great and has lasted a year so far. No complaints about it
The Invidia Q300 works great with the RB dual resonated mid pipe, also remember to use isopropylic alcohol after install so when it heats up, it will get a nice color.
@DENetworkES do you have any sound clips of this setup you can send me? Planning on getting the rb midpipe but still not sure which catback to get. Might get the invidia if it sounds good because it’s one of the cheaper options.

On the muffler pipe no, but the stock muffler pipe was bent weirdly, and one tip amost touched the side of the hole, and could potentially melt the plastic. So we cut, bent and welded the pipe so that the tip straightens up and it's perfectly in the middle.
Yeah, sometimes exhaust tips get a beating or two lol Glad they were able to get it centered up just right. 👌 The Mazdaspeed that was on my RX8 had something similar so the passenger side tip is closer (almost touching) to the plastic, but thankfully no melting yet lol

I have the same exhaust on mine, but with just the regular stainless tips. Arguably one of the best exhaust systems for it. Also have the AEM cold air intake as well.
I may be a stupid kid or something, but the main reason why modifying the exhaust is on my priority list is because the stock Cat just gets scary hot. I've read they can get clogged and catch fire, and mine isn't clogged. My cat still does it's job. But I want to get rid of it and swap it for a mid-day for peace of mind.

Imo the factory radio in the rx8 looks fantastic and so i thought maybe i could replace the gps with an android decice instead of the radio. Knowing everything you taught me about the RX8, It makes me hella nervous to buy the dream car I want. The problem is the Rx8 I want is going for 4.2K which I know there might be some major issues judging but what you said. I'm a High School student and don't have a job, but I'm attempting to collect money via work. Any advice?
If I may be of help, I would personally not recommend buying any sports car if you're not able to maintain costant income flow. The RX-8 is no exception, it has all the regular service needed as any car, however oil changes should be much more frequent, then you have long-term service which is costlier than usual cars... If you stils want fun to drive car with high reliability, I would suggest to look for MX-5 or Mazda 6 - those are great cars to drive, and won't ruin your budget as quickly as the RX-8. I am personally looking forward to replace my M6 with RX-8 next year, however my job gives me the security, that even in case of sudden failure, I can afford rebuild without much of a hassle... Hope I have helped :).
I found an rx8 that based on your buyers spreadsheet scores at 17 but it only costs 2k. 112k km original motor and low compression in front rotor (60psi) (90psi) in the rear rotor. Should I consider grabbing this as a project or a way to learn about rotaries and get hands on experience with them?

Hey I'm having some hot start issues and im trying to figure out if its the fuel pump or the starter... when I tried starting it when hot it was barely above 200.. i think 120rpm. people tell me that no matter the starter the engine should start up anyways, is this necessarily true? would the starter help with my hot start? i've already prepared for a low compression engine but I have a feeling it also isnt really it.. There is still a ton of power but I think the starter motor is also going out alongside with a low compression engine. Any tips? Thanks!
im new to the whole car scene but I’m gonna buy a new exhaust for my rx8, on the petitracing website I fount a picture that shows the exhaust made of 3 parts: the catback, resonator and cat/racepipe. I’m planning on getting a petitracing catback, racing beat unsilanced decat-pipe and a petit racing high flow cat but I’m not sure if the decat-pipe and high flow cat are the same part or not please help me out😅

Je pa potrebno priznati še to, da je skoral 2023 in bo avto star skoraj 20 let, to pomeni da določeni deli tudi deteriorirajo s časom in jih je treba zamenjati. Ni to nov avto, ampak ševedno, raje daš malo več in kupil kvalitetno rx8ko, kot nek shitbox, ki ga je maltratiral pol slovenije.

Hey man, is there any way to "turn up" the OMP to inject more oil after I installed the SOHN adapter? Oil consumption doesnt bother me because I ride snowmobiles. What bothers me is feeling like the engine is not getting enough oil.

Definitely better. Rotaries and cats just don’t go good together. They’re notorious for blowing out cats and also when you premix (which you should be doing) it clogs up the cat and not only robs you of power but is also detrimental to the efficiency and reliability of the engine

Im not really handy but your chanel inspires me to try . Im finally at the point to where the car is running smoothly and can upgrade. Catalytic converter. Unless you are going to track the car, i would advise to leave the cat on, way less stinky and you'll be able to pass emissions

Hey, not that i know of... sorry. You can premix as well, this way you know it's getting the extra oil.

I can't find the Idemitsu premix oil anywhere locally. I want to premix my RX8 when I get it. Would racing 2 stroke oil work (ex. Amsoil Dominator)?
Yes, any 2 stroke oil is ok, just not the one for boats.

Could be bad o2 sensors. The front one is the important one that regulates the air-fuel ratio

I've had a lot of problems with my rx8 new engine, new transmission , new TCM and finally got all that fixed with a paint job and rims lol its like a brand new car. Im not really handy but your chanel inspires me to try . Im finally at the point to where the car is running smoothly and can upgrade. First thing on my list is the fan kit and will target other cooling methods . Your chanel is awesome, wish I had your skills lol
