Haha I know Gu Photos, got my wedding shots done there last year. Very professional and it was sooo hard to select from all the amazing photos in the end!

hi jenny if you could go back and do over, would you have purchased a different package? or would that have been cheaper than buying additional photos after viewing them? Sounds like a super fun and unique experience
heya! i think the packages change every few months so you never really get the same deal.
but i probably would've chosen a package with more photos.
and also chosen less photos than 48 ahah, i was so overwhelmed with the 200 there's probably about 5 photos I don't really like that much

I don't know how I ended up here, but wow I am so jealous! Those look awesome! I have a bit of an odd question. How do these photoshoot companies feel about mixed people wearing the traditional clothings? When quarantine ends (if it ever does . . .), I want to return to Asia and do some photoshoots, but I always fear that there will be a prejudice since I am 混血兒 ;_; I wore cheongsam for Chinese celebrations growing up, but not in recent years because I am afraid I will get those 'cultural appropriation' comments since some people seem to think that if you are not full Chinese, then you are not Chinese at all. Just wondering if you have any insight :)
(Also, at the beginning of the video, do you mean 'hanfu' instead of 'hanbok'? The characters 汉服 say hanfu. I thought that -bok (-服) is Korean pronunciation? Or am I misunderstanding something >.
hey! thank you for watching the video. I don't think the photo companies mind at all as it is more of a business and I've seen caucasian people do these photoshoots too. I personally think it's awesome that you've embraced your mixed culture growing up and personally wouldn't have an issue with it.
And yeah my chinese friend said it was called hanfu but I tried googling for a translation to english and 'chinese hanbok' kept popping up so i thought i'd use both haha, got a bit confused!

If things ever open up again (I hope the pandemic will calm down soon :( ), I'd like to go to Shanghai and do this. I've never been to Shanghai before, but I've always wanted to go there and Harbin!

hey Jenny, you look absolutely beautiful in these clothes, but here are a few things i would like to mention. Firstly, you used 'hanbok' in the video, i think you meant Hanfu? Well, there is really no a single traditional Chinese clothing because there are multiple dynasties and ethic groups in the Chinese history. The Han Chinese ethnicity forms the majority population in China, and we call our clothing 'Hanfu'. The first fit that you worn is from the WeiJing Dynasty, it's very 仙侠风/C historical drama core😂😂😂 The second fit is Man Chinese ethnic fashion during Qing Dynasty. It's not Hanfu since it's from literally a different ethnicity. The hairstyle is a knock off Qing dynasty "Liang Ba Tou"两把头. Technically the dress and the hairstyle aren't 100% historically accurate, they are more of a costume? but i guess that's the point since it's a 古风photoshoot hahaha.
