Is Your Filter Compromised? 🤢

How can you check to see if your Katadyn Befree water filter is no longer working properly?
In this video, I show how to do a quick and easy field test to see if your filter is protecting you from various water-borne pathogens like giardia, cryptosporidium, and bacteria.

I just let a friend drink from my filter. If he gets sick I need a new filter!😅😅

Wouldn't it be better to check if air can be squeezed through the filter? (Filling the bladder with air after the filter is wet and squeezing it to normal pressure, while checkimg if air comes out).
on a new filter it should be almost impossible to squeez air out, if the membrane is wet, but if it is broken, it should be possible.
Blowing air with your mouth into the filter may not be the best choise if you just squuzed water trough it and thereby potentually contaminationg the mouth piece.

That's a fair point. But I'm just getting this straight from the manufacturer. This is their process.
