I love that your films have a dark twist at the end, it shows that you're not afraid to explore heartbreak, and second-guessing in the art of entertainment, without directly handing entertainment to the viewer.

I love the animation style, and I'm a sucker for not-quite-right reflections and glitching; I'm a therapist (though I promise without borrowing others' faces, despite needing to do that when I was younger to survive!) and this is going to be a splendid little film to show one of the groups I'm doing for teenagers.

The twist was cool, but I feel it took away from the message a little? I've seen it lot of people say that it's about finding yourself/trying to open someone else, but I interpreted it as (autistic) masking. Like, acting more socially acceptable but through that losing all your energy and not being able to unmask. It's very common and a lot of people go to therapy bc they feel that, and then find out it's autistic/adhd masking. Idk, just my take. Great shortfilm!
I agree that the story did feel like promising about the girl getting better, which perhaps that's the reason why it's plot twist/ red herring (false guidance). Since the creator I've seen focus on the bleak psychological & dark atmosphere drama conflict (like the earliest story about 2 brothers), it may've been an exploration around such genre. One could even say this version is like a fable story where a sheep actually asking a wolf in sheperd clothing, like those creepy grimm fairytales of cautionary tale. After all, not everyone gets a happy ending because the blade of sorrow is also quite strong to pierce a point for us to learn (hence why tragedy also quite popular since antiquity....or since dawn of time if I'd believe it furtherst).
