They do something called grade backing where they fail/repeat a grade in 6 7 or 8 grade so they are older bigger and stronger than others. They might not be but still crazy nonetheless
There were definitely kids like this that existed in the early times of basketball, but no one talks about them because social media didn’t exist. Social media is absolutely huge for all these future NBA players I guess you could call them because it gives them a bigger audience.
Of course! We played a highschool Shelby Broadstreet back in my day, that had a freshman guard that was easily 6'5 and 2 D1 recruited all-americans 6'9 and 6'6. We also played another team Oxford Chargers and the 2 guard was 6'7 and their 5 was 6'10. Our tallest player on a good day was 6'4. We beat both teams by the way.

This is an AAU team. One of the top 5 in the country. Its not a school team. Ive seen a 6'9 8th grader before,Chris Robinson. I could have seen 6'8 ⁸th grader Josh Clemons but he moved to Kentucky before i could catch one of his games.

i live here in phoenix and i was in 6th grade and i had a basketball game and where i played they had multiple baketball courts and i could see delton prescott dunking in pregame warmups and he was only 1 grade ahead of me and there i was standing at 4"10(im 5"8 2 years later) while i see someone dunking
I remember playing for a traveling team back in 7th grade. We would go to the vegas classics and always had to go against teams who had 1-3 dunkers. Good times.

We played a team twice my last year in highschool. Their guard was 6'7 and their center was 6'10. Our tallest player was 6'4 on a good day. They beat us the 1st game, we beat them the 2nd time. Lesson is kids, height don't mean shyt, just play ball.
