There was, but not as many as there would be on a long weekend or holiday period. People were pretty spread out, it wasn’t noisey. Definitely not what we are used to camping with people around.
Very very patchy, one of he boys had service occasionally. I just had mine turned to air plane mode. I nay used it for a few pics. I was happy not to have it on.
Swags (coffins) date back to when Aussies would move around mustering stock. They never had poles ect just a canvas bag or covering. My first swag I bought over 30 years ago never had poles as part of it. Roof top tents here are popular but swags are definitely more common. 👍🏻 Tents are very common and always have been . Camper trailers have also evolved over the years.
Haha love it Rich it sure was a great weekend with abit of sneaky security footage didn’t even realise you were still recording look forward to the next catchup maybe I can secure Shad’s campsite for him 😂😂👍🏼🍻 I’ll bring the pan scrub 🤣😂😂 let him know to pull his sleeves up next time and not his trackies 😂😂😂 good times mate thanks for sharing 👍🏼
Hey there Rich. Was going to buy a Wrangler Jeep but mates reckon its a bit of a money pit for a car. The JF has always been a unique vehicle and I've seriously looked for one that is a good compromise of added gear but low K's. Would you consider the FJ to be a good platform for a rooftop tent ?.
Gday Kev, thanks for watching. I haver never personally had a wrangler but you do here about issue with them from time to time. I have two mates with them. One has had a few if them and another loves his after 5 years of 4wdriving and camping. Both are the Penstar v6 petrol engines. The FJ only comes in a petrol and auto. I have found it to be super smooth. Space can be limited in both vehicles. I've the look of the FJ to like you mention they are unique. I would look at a 2013 or newer with the factory fitted long range tank. I dont have one in mine. The roof top tent option on the FJ is something I see often. I'm nkt sure what tne weight limit is of the FJ or the Wrangler but its worth looking at before jumping in and buying a tent. I hope this helps and the FJ has definitely been proven in the reliability side of things. Cheers Rich
Beautiful part of the world, do a fair bit of camping in that area 👌👌 Went looking at that exact spot over Christmas and it was packed! Awesome vid mate, looks like a cracking weekend.
I can see how packed it would get, easy to get to, and drop toilets. It would be super busy over any holiday periods There were plenty there but spread out on this weekend.
G'day Nick, the awning extension is a ARB wall. I have had it for years. It slides into the channel. You could use any wall that has the provisions to be slid in. Thanks for watching. Cheers Richard
Great video looking to go up end of April…. Fishing beers and tabs with the boys
Sounds good mate, it's a great time of the year to go!
..cool video keep up the great content.. Thank you…

Gorgeous place. How was the movile reception out of interest?

It’s a cracking spot, best in winter and mid week.
What is the size of the propane bottle? The setting looks relaxing.
Thanks for watching, I think its a a 2.5kg bottle.
Its amazing to watch Aussies sleep in Canvas Coffins, vs Americans in Roof top Tents or Ground top Tents
Cheers Big Ears!

Audio was a bit up & down but good video, can’t wait to get back out there 👍
Thanks for watching mate, tne audio was a little tricky with the. wind conditions. It's definitely a great area. Cheers

Another great video, how good did those chips look🤤, thanks for sharing.
Btw, how were the mozzies?
Then chips were good, mozzies weren’t a problem at all.
Nice one, is that awning extension an arb one? Does it slide in the track?
