Jungkook isnt fluent in English so I am sure it would be challenging for him to contribute lyrically. he has written songs in the past. but he is mostly a singer and he even directed BTS' Life Goes On music video. so that is how he chooses to work behind the scenes. :) and also by singing the guide for the members. he helps vocally behind the scenes since he is the main vocalist. it is important to love all of the members. a lot of Jimin fans are solo stans and thats why they are so vocal about him being "the best". to them, he is. but it comes down to preference. technically speaking, the "best" is jungkook but all of the members are amazingly talented and they all have completely unique sounds. so you just have to find the person whose voice you vibe with the most.
At this point after hearing him speaking English promoting Seven in interviews, he is fluent enough in English to understand, speak and communicate fully in English. He is considered fluent now to many that hear him so speak English. When he sings English lyrics, he sounds so fluent you wouldn’t know that English is not his first language

He has written plenty of songs in HIS native language. These dance perfomances don't have featured artists usually just dancers. Also a lot of the fanbase are from conservative countries, and I dont know if they would be ready for Latto yet. I love her, but I am a westerner and 55 years old. This song was actually going to another artist but scooter braun which is in the same family as BTS...... being Hybe lables heard Jk in the studio recording music for his album and knew JK was would hit it out of the park , Jk heard it and instantly fell in love with the idea .....and the rest is history. He is still in the process of completing his album where he will be contributing in the song process. Usually BTS members contributes to their songs if its part of their album, just like Jimin's.

The rapline put out full albums (j-hope last July, RM in December, and SUGA/Agust D in April) already. j-hope also did a collab with J. Cole before he started his military service in the spring. Jin put out a "bye for now" song last fall that he collaborated with Coldplay on. They also released one new group song, Take Two, in June for their 10th anniversary. There's a live performance of that on their channel. If you want a sampler of songs and live vocals from all 7, I'd recommend the NPR Tiny Desk Concert they did in 2020, their Live Room Festa performance from 2021, or their PROOF Live Set from 2022. They're all subtitled, too! And to answer your question about the mics, they often DO wear the headset mics for choreo-heavy songs, but not every member does always. More often they have their handheld mics. I think it probably just depends on the demands of dancing vs. vocals for each song. In concerts, which are 2-3 hours long, they use both depending on the song. For his GMA appearance, JK sang Euphoria without choreo, then did some choreo for Seven and Dynamite, neither of which is intense. I think for even group performances of Dynamite, full choreo, the members almost always used handheld mics.

Jimin wrote his album with three of bighit's in-house producers (who have worked with BTS for a decade). He basically lived in producer Pdogg's house for weeks and weeks for that album. In the past, the "rappers" of BTS were been more main songwriters and producers for the group. Rather, the "vocalists" had produced some songs here and there, but have tended to focus on melody lines and top lines. Which don't always get credited, because it's just voice memo's in their groupchat. Hence, why this new solo chapter of BTS is a new adventure for the "vocalists" to also find their own songwriting and production style. Even for the rappers, this chapter brought a new edge to their projects. I just know that their group comeback in 2025 will be like the Avengers reuniting.
