My dream RUclips show is Pimp My Machine! We hot rod or otherwise mod sewing machines. I thought of Repair Guy right off, and look - he’s up for it.

I can remember my mother blind stitching my pants cuffs by hand. Thank for showing this machine.

I'd never seen or heard of this blind hemmer before. Very interesting. Great that you've helped the school. :)

I’ve had several blind hemmers. I was never impressed with them. Even if you press them they show the stitches. Hand tailoring a blind hem is the best. Liked your video tho, and donating it to the school was a blessing❤️

Thanks for the video. I have an old machine I couldn’t identify. It’s a hemmer. The needle action is identical to my old unit.

I worked in a custom drapery shop; we had a one and they can be a little tricky to use, especially with sheer fabrics.

I used blind hemmers in the early 1970s and I really didn't like using them . The blind hemmers we used didn't look like yours and there was a ton of measuring and calculating before putting the garment through it .

That is a pretty cool machine.
On a side note...I was curious how you became involved in sewing machines? My grandmother was a Seamstress in New York's garment district.

Would love to see how to time a blind hem machine. Have a tacsew 500 bought new like 20 years ago and timing is off and not sure how to fix?

Will you show where to oil a portable blind hem machine, please? I just got one at a thrift store, but it has no manual. Thank you for your help! 3:02 3:04 3:09

Does this blind hammer finish end of fabric You should try it on a new Raw hem. I do mine with a vintage singer blind hem stitch cam.

No, normally the fabric is double folded and ironed before blind hemming to hide the raw end.
