I get these here sometimes.
I must confess I prefer shrimp from back in the west....Mexican browns and whites are sweeter....rock shrimp are small but very sweet with a limited season.
That sure is an impressive restaurant.
In the west we peel shrimp before we cook in many dishes and what we call devein...which is a polite was of saying cut the intestine out running along the back...I, for one, do not eat shrimp I do not remove this part from and will just use my knife at the table if I have to.
I cannot tell you how many thousands of kilos of shrimp I peeled in my career.
Shrimp peeling was a job I would give to dishwashers who had no dishes to wash and time left on their shift....If they did a good job it would tell me to move them from dishwasher to preparation...If they were slow and did not care...I left them in the dishwasher position.
We like what is called a shrimp cocktail....the shrimp are boiled in seasoned broth...cooled in ice water ...peeled, deveined and served with a spicy red sauce with white horseradish..

I sold thousands of orders...
I also worked in Italian places where they are cooked peeled and deveined with garlic and lemon....the famous shrimp scampi dish in USA....
In Italian scampo....means 1 shrimp...scampi means more than 1..
People in USA do not know they are ordering shrimp shrimp when they order shrimp scampi
There is 1650 square meters of space here, but this is a huge bet. It is difficult to operate such a large restaurant in Taiwan. People's wages have not increased, but prices have continued to rise.

I live in incredible city ...Angkor Wat is the most amazing place I have been to in the world.

The airport here goes through china and china is closed..
Phnom Penh is 6 hours away.
You can fly into PP but then have to take car or bus 5-6 hours to Siem Reap...
The whole world is in big trouble and governments are collapsing...
I may move back to Argentina next year...I miss it....I miss speaking Spanish...
Their economy is in chaos...

It was 6 peso to 1 dollar at bank..12 years ago.
130 to 1 at bank now.
But, I can sell dollars on the blue market...NOT bank...for 250 pesos to 1 dollar...
The government will not let people have US dollars..
So, the people ALL want them..
The last time I was there my friends would give me 13 pesos to 1 dollar and be happy...
Now...250-1...
I think it going to get much worse....
Sad to say...
I must go back to US in March or late February...
My lease here in my house goes to end of year...
In 2 weeks I have been living in Cambodia for 5 years....plus, I have my house in USA....
But, I have not debt...no credit card or bank loan...paid my house of 8 years ago..
Most people are in so much debt..
People here are all in debt and in big trouble..
The little places you go to with just a few great items on menu can make it...Low Overhead..
My country the election was stolen in 2020 and it has killed the USA...
That 1650 is the size of my house in USA....I buy for my son..
But he died almost 10 years ago.
I cannot live there...
I was going back to sell it when covid hit and I have not been back to US for 2 1/2 years....
I cannot live in USA anymore..
I have no family and prefer to live other places...
My Khmer...Cambodian language is NO GOOD..
Old dog like me hard to learn new trick we say..
But, my Spanish is very good..

吃完上車後心得討論 說實話 半飽 !! 讓我這作東的 花錢買了個尷尬 印像深刻.......
這類食物的價位不低，但是我們跟老闆聊天時，他說很難撐下去呢，X情的關係
因為成本也很高，他們抓的成本跟售出是1/2，已經到底了，所以這麼大的餐廳是在賭，畢竟我們薪水沒漲，萬物齊漲，慢慢地大家也不敢去吃好料了
現在又更貴瞜 760 估計是想把疫情虧的賺回來吧
