  • The newly designed Genesis Orrery features an individual drive train to each planet from Mars out to Pluto. This allows for more orbiting moons without sacrificing the fluent orbit of the planets.

utopia. a model is not truth. If the earth rotates and it takes 24 hours to see the sun in the same position vertically again, why do we not face darkness after 6 months going around the sun? is the earth's rotation increasing or decreasing in velocity? How does that go well with physics as they teach us earth's rotation is constant and that's why we don't witness its effects?... they teach this false system in mandatory schools

  • @twistedyogert

That is impressive. At least all of Saturn's moons weren't included. Saturn deserves its own model. Saturn has at least 53 named moons but has 29 moons that have yet to be named. A grand total of 82.

If you had a model like the one shown - 9 planets - the outer planets would hardly appear to move. During an entire human lifetime, Pluto goes about a third of the way around. Even Jupiter, the closest (and fastest) of the outer planets takes almost 12 earth-years to orbit once, so in a lifetime, it would go around 6 or 7 times (if you were lucky to have a long life)

They'd already worked out that the Earth wasn't flat and were busy debating whether it was spherical or cylindrical when most of our ancestors were living in mud huts and our highest level of science was making bronze weapons. Making the leap to realising that the Sun was the centre of our system wouldn't have been that hard for them.
