Great review, rant included! I personally prefer Wandavision's Scarlet Witch. I love the costume design, and there is something around the eyes in the headsculpt, that I prefer. I am doing a body swap with a Phicen body to improve it.

i used to go for the deluxe figures but these days i just 3d model and print my own diorama bases so i can have very specific scenes

One of my most anticipated releases. She is absolutely gorgeous! The portrait is a 10/10.
She'll go nicely with the WandaVision version. There's a nice progression looks-wise, as the Darkhold corrupts her.

Great review and comparison vid as per usual. I was one of those who bought the WV version only to learn of the MVM weeks later. Did a TBL body swap and custom rooted hair, and feels like I’ve spent enough on one ‘definitive’ Wanda…, until now I’m a bit tempted after seeing your review.

If I had to choose between the Multiverse of Madness version of Scarlet Witch and the Wandavision version of Scarlet Witch, I'd most likely go with the Wandavision version, but that's just my own personal preference. I think that it's the definitive figure in my opinion. I prefer the hero version of Scarlet Witch when compared to the evil version. However, the Multiverse of Madness Scarlet Witch looks great in its own right. The head sculpt is highly accurate when it comes to Elizabeth Olsen's likeness. The luminous reflective effect that was give to the eyes looks good. The hair has been nicely sculpted and painted. The overall paint application is clean. I really like the outfit. However, the fact that Hot Toys ended up re-using the same energy effects that they've been including since the Avengers Age of Ultron release is a bit lazy on their part. Articulation is pretty good, aside from the limited movement when it comes to the head sculpt, but that's because of the hair. The diorama display base is rather weak to say the least. It's cheap, flimsy, and it doesn't look convincing whatsoever. It's definitely not worth the additional money. If I were to get this version, I'd opt for the standard release over the deluxe edition. There is no doubt about it. This is a great looking Scarlet Witch figure, excluding the awful diorama display base. Otherwise, thanks, Justin! I really appreciate the hard work! Keep it up! As always, a very amazing and helpful video! This figure looks stunning! I think the only issue I really have with the figure itself is the way the hairline sits ABOVE her forehead, that’s the same issue I have with the WandaVision version

That’s why I got the standard version, because I wanted the normal base. I like the deluxe, but it’s too big for me and I won’t display the figure with crossed legs for that pose either.

That’s why I got the standard version. I wanted a normal display base, and the box was too big for the deluxe. Also the deluxe was pricier (the one I didn’t want). I also wouldn’t display the figure with the crossed legs position in fear of damaging it.

Hey Justin, on that last part of your video what did you use to pose Wanda up in the floating position? You mentioned not to use the clamp, so what did you use?
I had her sitting on top of the clamp. But that pose will destroy her outfit anyway, clamp or no clamp
@@JustinsCollection Thanks, will keep that in mind. In related news you mentioned that going with the standard release would be better, I am going to say that depends on the figure. I finally got my collector's edition of The Batman and it did not come with the sticky gun, so the figure just sits there with an empty holster. I feel that it should have been included. So had to order one from OT Customs, thanks for the reference on that. The moral of the story, read what's in the box.
Are there customizers who are doing moving eyes or rooted hair? Or only resin static pieces?

I prefer the skin exposure on the WandaVision version. I don't like the full arm covering. It makes the whole thing start to feel a little bland or 'samey'. My ideal head cannon Wanda would have been a version of the WandaVision end suit with a darker theme like this one and the darker eyeshadow and black finger tips like this. I also am not a fan of this crown piece. It's too damaged looking. It just looks a bit poopy haha. Love the torn/damaged aesthetic.
The head/crown swap really makes me want this version just for my WandaVision one but that's a terrible financial decision!

I've got to agree about that base. There was an opportunity to do something unique but it definitely leaves a lot to be desired. The candles could have been so cool. And that clear stand? yeesh, ugly, especially that part attaching to the base. The clear shafts aways annoy me, especially when they are used when a regular flight pole would work better. I'm more of the Wanda hero state of mind (I enjoyed Multiverse of Madness but I had some issues with the plotlines) and I'm not a zombie fan at all so no Dead Strange for me. Those hex effects are definitely the same one they've included with every version of Wanda, even the 3rd party ones. That effect with the Darkholme is almost enough to make me want to order this (or the regular) version, almost.

@JustinsCollection not really. Rather satisfied overall. It's the extra multiverse display effect I wanted, and that makes up for the rather large, flawed stand. I used a plain small, black stand to place her under the it...looks like she standing there, arms posed, reading from her book to cast a spell and preparing to dream walk. Looks awesome next to 4 others. ..Civil War Wanda
& Wandavision; and regular Dr. Strange & Multiverse Dr. Strange on my huge wooden stadium shelves my husband built.
Overall, managed to get a great deal money wise for her from Hong Kong seller on ebay. So overall, I'm happy with the purchase. It adds something different to just having a Hot Toy figure on a plain regular stand. 🙂
I had to re-watch because mine is about to finally ship since June '22 pre-order. The base is so disappointing and the extra cost it just isn't a go for me. Thank you for saving me the cost and disappointment.

Forbidden Planet is not that good, I live half an hour away and I never get my Hot Toys from there, or hardly go in there. Mostly older Hot Toys figures and overpriced as well; however, if you are visiting London, you should still check it out for yourself, can't hurt.

Hello Justin. I am new to Hot Toys. This would be my 2nd HT, and unfortunately I opted for the deluxe version. I see that you clearly dislike the base for the deluxe version. I'm just curious what you would say is a HT figure that nailed or has a perfect diorama base? Agree on the candles and the blurry print, but I can't see howelse they can do the floating effect except with the clear plastic rod. Thank you!
Yeah unfortunately they let us down with the base. Something like Cobb Vanth's base I see as a perfect diorama base

This figure was so aggravating to look at because of the hairpiece coming over the shoulders. I'm not sure why and I don't know if I'm just really picky, especially since she's my favorite character, but it looked so off. Trust I'll be displaying my Scarlet Witch figure with the windswept hair. Also, I'm pretty sure the only new thing that comes with the deluxe version is that embarrassing excuse of a diorama base... this is just a cash grab and no one should buy the deluxe version at all. While the exposed joints are all covered up and hidden well, it presents us with another issue, which is articulation and suit damage. Thanks for such a good review, Justin!

Honestly, Wanda in the MCU (and thus this toy) looks more like Dark Phoenix/Jean Grey than anything else.
Aside from her initial introduction as her natural brunette self in Age of Ultron, they’ve been making her look more like Jean Grey and giving her more of Jean Greg’s power set. Odd really.
